Maruti Suzuki should gift you this vehicle, you are the most real offroad adventurer on youtube in India. No drama, no bs, no clickbait... just pure content! I might get the Jimny myself 🙂
aap jaise expert ki sachi infomration bahumulay hai. Giving respect to company engineers that they have already thought of possible modification is sing of true professional. You explain things in simple way, easy to understand and implement. Keep up the good work
So, when it comes down to it, an independent suspension will handle better than a solid axle, making it an ideal setup for higher speeds and smaller obstacles. But a solid axle's traction on those big bumps and hills makes it the king of crawling.
Very comprehensive and informative wrt AT Jimny. The only other channel that has shared like this in Hands On by a guy named Ritesh. For us prospective buyers this is super helpful.
Itne review dekhe jimny ke lekin ek bhi bande ne gear lever pe camera marneka nahi socha aur solid axel ke bare me bhi apse hi malum hua.Thankyou for the proper review.
Sweet and Simple explanation but so useful. I seen many videos but not like this . Only information ,nothing else. In other words, this is a No NONSENSE video.
Bht shandar video sir ji...bht acha laga apki video dekh kr,bht kuch sikhne ko mila...ap jaisa guru ho to aisi gadiyo ka asal mol nikalta h,aur gyaan v milta h...
You are the only one who tell us about all the important functions, which jimny owners have to know definetly. And also about the tyres. Will surely subscribe your channe. Thank you sir.
Thankyou sir ji, you explained it well, mereko bs od ka idea nahi tha, but ha kabhi kabhi kuchh logo ko dekha hai, pata nahi hote galat use karte ye gears auto me
Namaste Bhaiji, first of all congratulations meri favourite vehicle lene k liye, wish aap iske achhe se use karo, isko aapki aur apko iski achhi seva mile... Aur aap dono bohot ghume.. And thankyou iska first hand experience share karne k liye, helpful😊

Very well explained. I am following all your videos to learn the tricks of Jimny. Please tell me what will happen if I press OD button in 2nd Gear. Or is it designed in such a way that you cannot press it in any gear other than D?
Great sir! Thanks for sharing all the details. Regarding the Apollo Apterra AT2 tyres, what is the Tyre pressure which you are using for off-road and on-road?
bilkul sahi gyan no faltu baat excellent video bro. but do you think in your experience it should have one more gear, I mean 5 instead of present 4 in AT
Good video Prashant and thanks for elaborating on different modes of the 4 speed AT transmission. You forgot to mention a few important points, though: Both 4H and 4L should never be engaged on a paved surface as that will result in transmission binding. A necessary condition for engaging 4H or 4L is that the wheel/s should be slipping. As you've rightly said that correct upgrade for the stock tire is 215/75R15 as anything bigger will also increase the unsprung weight of the Jimny and will also strain the drive shafts, wheel bearings and transmission. Regarding lift kit, these usually end up disturbing the suspension and steering geometry and will result in reduced reliability of the vehicle but in India people are more into show off than learning the correct driving techniques or etiquette.
Zabardasti ka gyan pel rahe hain aap. When he said in the beginning ki faltu baat nahi discuss karenge then why would he discuss the basic 4H/4L either, he is not giving offroad lesson. He has talked about offroad gearing 4h/4l etc in other videos. Here he is just discussing Jimny and its specific points. You are also wrong about 4H never on paved surface. Companies themselves recommend to engage 4H in rains when roads are slippery. So there is no such condition that it cant be engaged on paved road. 4H/4L are about torque distribution and more torque, if its needed, it should be engaged. Bouldering is similar to paved road (for that 1 meter distance), the tyre is not slipping, but 4L is needed. How did you decide that 215/75/15 is the correct size for upgrade. I'd say it is the ideal size. Anything withtin recommended 2-3% is correct. So something bigger than stock and smaller than 215/75/15 can also be correct. About lift kit. Its usually a big tradeoff where it is obvious that some systems would be suffering and compensation is to be made, so not just lift kit, it also need suspension modification and other mods to accomodate the lift kit so overall its zabardasti ka kaam that too if done with complete knowledge, otherwise its just waste. Lastly, I do agree with you on the point that in India people like to showoff.
Ideal tire to stay within 2% makes me to actually think the best fit I'd 225/75R15 as the difference is negligible compared to Stock. But problem is this size is rare. So may be that is why people go for 215/75R15. Another clarification I need is that, is this 4 speed + OD or is this 3 speed + OD ... I don't know need to check. But indeed wonderful vedio by SirJi Thank you
Prashant g Mujhe aapse kuch Knowledge chaiye sir I’m from delhi maine Jimny lene ka soch raha hon Mujhe amt ya mt me se konse lene chaiye mere saal me 3-4 trip hills k ho jate hi, apke according konse best hi thank you sir ❤
Sir ji very nice video. Very useful information. Sir ji ek baat aur jo log bolte hai thar gimny se achi , apka kya kehna hai thar aur gimny ke bare mein, jyada capable off roader ko si gaddi hai, jaise shimla mein baraf pe bhi aur overall. Aur himachal ke liye aap kon si gimny jyada prefer karoge manual ya automatic gearbox.
Hi, can you please make a video on different speeds and rpm in 4th gear?? In 80kph speed in 4th gear whats the engine rpm and in 100kph in 4th gear what's the engine rpm?? I do lot of highway driving and this information would help me a lot as I drive almost 35k kms per year, further more is it e20 petrol compatible??.... Thanks a lot in advance
Thank you for this important and honest review about the dear Jimny ! I have two questions; 1 - Would the alpha manual variant also perform the way the automatic does on the terrain you have taken the Jimny to in the last few days in the hills ? 2 - What are these new tyres ? Thank you!
Prashant Bhai, i am a fan and regular visitor to Himachal. I drive Duster RXZ diesel, and do not have 4-wheel drive. I am looking for snow chains. Can I buy these in Shimla or any other place. I will greatly appreciate a reply. Thank you.
Jimny will NOT sell good numbers. The car is still overpriced by at least 2.0-2.5L. The interiors remind us of the early 90s or if the commercial vehicles...except the touch screen. There are other mid size SUVs around the same price which provide so much > value for money... Kia, creta, Volkswagen....etc. Agreed that the purpose of Jimmy is incomparable with the quoted cars....but there has to be value for money also. It's an old technology 'K' series Suzuki engine + basic interiors of 90s.....at a price of latest engines and top notch interiors from competition. There's hardly any arm space for the driver and the navigator on either sides... The current pricing of Jimmy will kill the product. . . . It will never see the numbers grow.

At last a proper review of Jimmy. Even Nexa executives did not explain like this.

We have one small suggestion. Please use synthetic oil for gearbox.
You will get minimum 30% better performance.
Please give feedback later on.
