I will have to send you picture of mom-ster you have created in me!!!
Thank you Brandy!! You always make such easy to understand tutorials with so much in depth explaining...you really make me feel like I might be able to create a beautiful piece of furniture. 💕
Thanks very much Brandy. Was curious about corners and drawer openings. Thanks for the demo and for taking away some intimidation factor associated with transfers.
I just found your channel and I’m now a subscriber because I love how you show in detail all of the things that I’ve been thinking about doing and I appreciate that . 🤗💕
Did i miss how you cut the transfer so you can open the drawers? I want to try this on a small china cabinet of my grandmother. Please show specifically how to score transfers to allow doors and drawers to open. Love the creativity! Can't wait to try the technique!
What a great tutorial! I’ve watch numerous videos and your’s is superior! I am going to do this as soon as I have recovered from a broken shoulder. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise. I’ve subscribed!
Love this color pallet! I have several pieces that have good bones but need some TLC to turn it fabulous like this piece. Is Wise Owls blackberry similar to the darker color in this piece? I love the black cherry too. I think their dark teal color blended with the blackberry (and some lighter colors) would be so pretty. I love these transfers! So many possibilities, I really don't know how you choose. I know that some pieces of furniture just call out to you and the decision on color/extras😊 is pretty easy to see. I think the layers of color, texture and some bling is what caught my attention. Now, every piece of furniture and my cabinets are calling to me, to be transformed. You are very inspiring Brandy!😊❄️✨️❄️✨️❄️
Good morning, Brandy. I ran across your Channel. I've been wanting to learn how to do this. . I figured I'd get Brave. LOL. I was doing a search. . Where to buy the transfers from. I found a dresser on Pinterest that had a full body Large transfer of an angel that I just fell in love with. I was wondering where I could find that particulars transfer. . I like the larger transfers. . Doing transfers doesn't look as difficult as I thought it would be. But I do see that it is time consuming and takes patients. . And I'm excited about trying to do this. . Could you please tell me where I can purchase larger transfers? I am grateful that I ran across your Channel. . I've been procrastinating to even attempt this. But now that I found you. It really does look easier. . I'm so glad I came across your Channel. . And I am subscribed now. Thank you so much for sharing your talent. . Thank you so much. Have a blessed day. .💙
Ms.Brandy, I just would like to say I love you channel! I’m a self taught painter and I’m alway looking to learn ! Your channel has taught me so much! I’m doing a big piece for the first time (entertainment center out of a old dresser) I would like to do the 3 tone blending darker to lighter. Do I need to use any particular brushes ? TIA
Brandy, I need help. I’m putting peel and stick not transfer decals on painted bookcase. How do I apply the decals? They seem to peel off according to the numbers in the picture but do I just peel them off and hope it doesn’t stick to itself? Or how?
Thank you, this is what I was looking for true rub ons, not the piece of design that you put Matt medium gel and then have to rub off the paper, or the packing tape ideas. I don’t think those end up as professional as these do. But here is the issue before I go to the website of what you are using. How do I get these custom done with my own artwork etc?
I'm not aware of anyone that makes custom transfers. You can print your own on water slide paper. Redesign with Prima has a ton of designs retail.redesignwithprima.com?aff=63
I love this piece. I haven't tried any transfers yet but this video has inspired me! I painted a bookshelf about 6 months ago with DB chalk paint and used a satin clear coat. The piece is very two dimensional without any interesting details. Perhaps a transfer is what's needed! Can I use a transfer on something that's already been coated?
I am doing first piece ever! I am going in easy and using chalk paint. Will transfer adhere to chalk paint?and do you just wax after the transfers or use clear coat first then wax?thx
You’re so helpful and generous! Just bought my first transfer - Prima ReDesign 'spring meadow life', from Amazon, and the white backing is completely separated from the transfer sheet, and the transfers are not very sticky. Is that a normal occurrence or is it a problem? Thanks!
It can be, they aren't supposed to stick to the white sheet, it's just for protection. Just be sure the clear sheets don't stick to each other, that can ruin the transfer
I went to Dixie Bell sight. Could not find the transfers you use. May have over looked them. Spent and hour checking out the sight. Love the flowers you are using. How can I find them? Pauline
I have tried to purchase this transfer, but it is out of stock. Will it be back soon? I have refinished an antique bed, & this would look great on it & match my burgundy bedroom.
Can I put a transfer on an oak dining table without having to sand the top of my table. It has a few scratches, or do I have to sand the wax on top of my table first ? I really want to sand it just place transfers on my table top if it’s possible. Thank you in advance
I’m wondering now that I’ve seen your tutorial if you can layer transfers over top of or slightly overlap in gold foil or gold leaf apply to a dresser?? Can Transfer paper do that?
I have ordered my first transfer I have already waxed the furniture but I asked the supplier should I rub back the wax to apply transfer she said that the transfer should be applied first before wax what would happen if I applied it on top of wax
Hi Brandy , I love to watch your video's the things you do are so amazing and so beautiful. I would like to do a piece myself can I get those products in the UK
Quick question, once you have a completed piece how much do you charge for your pieces? Your work is above what I see on UA-cam. I would guess for the amount of time you devote to each piece you can command hundreds for let’s say the vanity you are working on. Could you help us price a piece like this once completed? Thank you in advance
Yes, it can be a problem, you can get air bubbles that need to be popped or creases that can usually be burnished out, any serious flaws can be painted in to match
I think I would cut all of the flowers and leaves out first and lay them down exactly how I would like it to appear on my furniture. I’d be more inclined to place all the foliage behind the flowers for a more realistic image. I like your custom colour you have created.
Hey Brandy, you may not be able to answer this but who else to ask. I was on Etsy and saw Dixie Belle paint but the jars did not look logit, do you know if the Dixie Belle company actually sells on Etsy? Thanks.

Thank you! We do a bit of both and new people find us everyday :)
I agree ! Brandy should have 100k plus just for the shading !
Love where you placed all the transfer elements. Its quite clear this is one of the things in life you were designed to do!!

I use a razor blade while its still attached to clear backing to get cleanest cut

Yes, black herry is a perfect replacement, very close color
Great video and gorgeous result...love watching these! For the clear coat, will apply strictly to the transfers or will you cover the whole piece?
I enjoy watching you work. You are so talented!
Beautiful work💐

How do you open the shelves with the transfers across them!
Beautiful job! May I ask how you prep for painting a piece? Do you use a primer to prevent tannins from coming through on wood pieces?
Beautiful job
Thank you! 😊
I really got into this but I really would like to learn more
How do you trim it so you can open the drawers?
Thank you, this is such a helpful video, much appreciated x
Do you cut the transfer before opening the draws or they are already detached?
Or how you proceed between the draws before opening?
Yes, I slice them with a Razor knife

where can I find Bombay dressers, I just never see them in thrift stores, any suggestions?
They go really fast and are usually over priced. Just looking constantly abd acting quickly are my biggest tips
Hi Brandy is there an online shop that you can recommend to get these supplies.please let me know Thanks. I love your tutorials

Could you use a magic eraser instead of the finishing pad? Is it similar?
@@goblue9784 it's closer to a scotch pad

Wax is a resist, you'll need to remove the wax and clean well before you can place the transfer
I’m wondering now that I’ve seen your tutorial if you can layer transfers over top of or slightly overlap in gold foil or gold leaf apply to a dresser?? Can Transfer paper do that?
Yes, you can definitely layer with gold leafing, may take some finesse to get the transfer to stick, rub gently in those areas
You are just so amazing! Thanks for another great video :-)
where you buy this thing

Yes, it can be a problem, you can get air bubbles that need to be popped or creases that can usually be burnished out, any serious flaws can be painted in to match
Clear coat or wax can be put on as well?
Can you apply antiquing wax on top of a transfer and then seal it?
Yes, you can, I blind like that the wax has a tendency to gather around the transfer edges and make it more apparent
