This song should have been on True Blue instead of Jimmy Jimmy. The latter was the only song from that album i never really liked and this one is a masterpiece gem compared to that one, imo. Not including this song and Spotlight on True Blue were the only bad decisions concerning that album. At least Spotlight was released officially little time after that. This song should have been too.
Love Makes the World Go Round, Where’s the Party, and the title track were all so lackluster. The whole album had really bland production. This song + Baby Love would’ve made the album’s sound much edgier.
@@ArtistsCry13 I don't think she was going for 'edgy' at that time. She obviously wanted a sound that would connect with people in a universal way. And it worked, since it became the world's best selling album of the year in '86.
