I remember when I was driving trucks across this great country back in the 70's and 80's and use to listen to Waylon on my cassette tapes in my truck. Those were the days.
Waylon Jennings was the most handsome man I ever met. Not only handsome and very talented, he was always a gentleman. KIND, RESPECTFUL, FUNNY,HE REMEMBERS EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE. ❤ HE CALLED ME , THE JA'NET. .I KNOW YOU ARE WITH GOD NOW 🙏. THERE'S NO OTHER PLACE FOR YOU TO BE. THOUGH I SURE DO MISS YOU. I've heard there's talk around sayin' I'm out of control. Something about too many bottles and a love that's grown cold. But you know talk is cheap and sometime these stories get old. But I keep on singing my songs and I still got some soul. So dream on if you think I still carry the flame. Dream on if you think that I still feel the same. Your love is just an old memory. And I'm alright You don't have to worry 'bout me. I've spent my whole life going the way that I choose. And I've tried to find a way where no one could see. And it seems unkind to know that maybe I've done it all wrong. When I see my life flashing before me sometimes in these songs. So dream on if you think I still carry the flame. I'm 40, been listening to Waylon since a young boy. He was the best. I quit listing to country music on the radio in the 90's because its commercial crap pumped out to make big money and it sucks. He was country music and will always be my favorite.
Great song. Waylon at his best. Was privileged to see him a couple of times in concert in the late 70's early 80's and remember his show to this day. His songs are legendary and his voice, songwriting abilities are too. Hope Jessi keeps digging up and releasing anything Waylon did because his real fans can never get enough of Waylon!

Glenn Russell I'm 18 years old going on 19 and I love Waylon Jennings, only wish I would have grown up in a different era. I can't stand the majority of the people my age.
listened to waylon since birth my momma was a huge fan.. 44 and still in love with the man and his voice.. my playlist is full of waylon and cds i will never let go of.. yep i said cds😂
Very cool Glenn! I was turned on back in 1976 at the age of 11. I remember the day. I was heading up to Prescott, Az. for the horse racing they have would have everyday during summer. We just past through Wickenburg and the song Luckenbach, Tx. came on. And from that time on I was hooked!
The range of tones that he had it was awesome, highs and lows he had that special magic in his voice that we will never hear again. How could anyone not LOVE this wonderful and truly honest man? Miss him very much.
Waylon’s guitar had that sound that nobody else’s could even close to playing, he was the best at singing, playing that guitar and writing those songs, I’m still in love with him and Elvis always wil be
No the worst feeling is when your child died. I'm a Waylon Jennings fan he was one of the best, but when I lost my son that's a feeling that no one knows about unless they have been through it. And I am sure Waylon would have agreed.
One of the last giants; there is some encouraging emerging talent reverting back to good music, but I don't see many with that look of truth in their eyes.
Waylon, has & will always be my HERO, wish I could gotten to meet the man. His music, has gotten me thru plenty of tuff times & still gets me thru today. Thank you!! Even though them words are not nearly enough, considering, what he did for country music & the lives he has touched. His son Shooter, has picked up his dad's tradition. Long live the music of Waylon!!!!

Thanks to teddie for sharing these songs. The loss of singers like Cash and Jennings is immeasurable, yet through their music and with the help of the "teddies" of the world, they will rock on and on forever.
Henrymj79 - save me a seat, too, please, but not for a long time yet, quite happy sitting here on my seat in front of my laptop screen, enjoying Waylon's music and teddie's great uploads :-)) Thanks XX
Thanks Max. So nice to see I am not alone to love this man. What a singer he was. Makes me sick to my stomach to see that he's gone. Then I discovered him again in the 70's and I never stopped listening to him.

I caught my country idol at a venue in Marin County (California) in what I believe was his last year on earth 01-02?. I drove as fast as could, like an insane, possessed person, about half drunk and even blowing by the Golden Gate toll booth, or whatever it was (I was supposed to stop) and got to the gig with about half of it left. I hit my seat just as Jesse came on stage to do "Suspicious Minds" with him - it was mesmerizing!!! He remained seated (due to his Diabetes, I suspect) and only fanned his guitar, which was fine as he had a full complement of back-up MUSICIANS, but when he opened his mouth, there was no doubt as to who was singing!!! What power!! Instantly I knew that my years of loyalty had not been unfounded!!! Love that good 'ol boy!!
