Back in the 70's I got to go for a (long) ride in a 427 Cobra. It was loud, hot, cramped and uncomfortable with a loud thump on every expansion joint. It was the best ride in my life!!!!
No helmet and no roll bar on passenger side but I would do it that way too if it meant hot lapping in that beast. What a glorious sound.
As a Cobra fan, a fan of Bob's and an even bigger fan of Mr. Shelby and the automobile/racing history he left us, I have to say.....that's one ugly T-Shirt you chose to wear!! :)
C était le bon vieux temps super!!!
I'd like to ride in a real 427 2 Holley Cobra before I leave. The twisty track would be a part of it, but also a flat out straight section of highway or track somewhere. I've already done the 289HP AC , Pantera, 427
Fairlane, 427 Torino, 429 Torino, all the real Boss Mustangs ( the real ones- not the newer ones with just the name) hipo Falcons, hipo Mavericks, and a GT ( the expensive
sports car)
Part of my wish list after my hospital stay a while back. 427 Cobra ride wearing my 50 year old Cobra jacket
Maybe that was a hot lap for Ryan , but Bob looked like he was just going through the motions ! Granny shifting and didn't pull much RPM 'S . Probably because Ryan didn't have a helmet on . But yeah car sounds good !
It's "Superformance".
1-02-20 Bob Bondurant's fan mail is no longer being forwarded to him by the school. I have permission to ask that letters wishing him well be sent to me at:
Bob Bondurant
C/O Larry Sorenson

I immediately deliver and read each of them to him. They really brighten up his days. Thank you.
R.I.P Bob
holy hell! who did this? how can anyone put a fuckin radio in a shelby cobra? dude... I cabt find a word for that
@Ronny Furst - Probably because he's a fan of both kinds of music - mechanical as well as instrumental! In any event, I wouldn't question Bob Bondurant.
@@Loulovesspeed well I really can understand the love for music... I love music too. But I cant understand how to take a sae and put a hole in the dash of a cobra. I become goosebumps and a cold wave down the neck even if I think of it... :-) for me the cobra and its dashboard is one of the prettiest ever made
@@ronnyfurst5511 Personally, I agree. I knew a guy in my home town that had a 67 427 (428) and he kept a little "boom box" on the passenger side floor. I would be more than happy to just listen to that fantastic, brutish engine music myself!
@@Loulovesspeed Well me either!
One helmet 🤔
In that shirt?
bruh, i just noticed it.
like cmon man, why would you wear that.
That shirt is disrespectful
What year was this?
That looks like a hurricane Motorsports Cobra correct?
@19Clutch69 - It's a Superformance Cobra - one of, if not the, premier Cobra replica.
550 hp is pretty tame, my n/a 427 w makes 540...467 Rwhp @ 5800...
A Ferrari t-shirt in a Shelby cobra smh
