Early Access and literally halfway, this just game that literally fits in, it's rare to found something that we want, simple gameplay that still retain the roots but improve in modern ways
I just picked up and started playing my ancient save of Tokyo Xtreme racer 2 on my Dreamcast, decided to see what Genki had been up to recently, and just saw this was being released. Im super stoked, i will definitely be picking this up in the near future.
Tire wear was a mechanic since Zero, if I'm not mistaken. But it was most noticeable in TXR3 IMO, especially as you couldn't restore tires in Parking Areas then (only resetting your engine temperature).
Only $30? Solid price for this and a nice part of a racing game collection. This project needs to be looked at as how to bring back a classic and get basically your audience to return with mostly positive reviews. Genki I hope will continue taking care of this title and develop online multiplayer eventually. Wishful thinking they bring back TXRD2 one day.

TL;DR, think about what DOOM released in 2016 did to boomer shooter fans at that time, but it's now for arcade racing game fans

I honestly never noticed in Zero, that might explain some things.

Yo Nestor this was sick! looking forward to this, been playing NFS Unbound.
This is probably the great comeback compare to other AAA games. Doom 2016 is another example of great comeback.
Hope it sells well enough so we can get a Kaido Battle 4 as well.

I would love to check this game out . I remember one game on the ps1. It was my brothers game I will have to ask him what the game is called.
Genki games in PS1 has Tokyo Highway Battle (Shutoko Battle DRIFT KING) & Shutoko Battle R. And it's the closed racing circuit, Kattobi Tune.
