I think that you guys got to find an old Briggs 7 or 8HP engine and use on a go kart. I have an example in my channel if you want to to see it. There real hot rod go kart motors with the low idle.
I started watching way back on the $50 go cart build, bruh its insane how far you guys have come. The editing, the content, you guys have legit sponsors, just crazy to see.
Agreed, but please don't go all UA-camyWood with the damn elevator music, seems to be a bad trend. I started watching YT to get away from that crap on TV/Cable channels.. Needs no music, you guys have the entertainment already :)
Sean Spark I agree about the music, does show their progress in filming /editing , but the music seemed like was for a love interest, not rebuilding an engine . They are “passionate “fellows in their craft must say! 👍🏻🙏🏼👊🏻🌻
I have a 1986 K75S still sitting in my garage. Fuel pump went out about 20 years ago, the same time I was getting knee deep into a career and family. I preserved it well, I think it's time to resurrect the old classic. Man I loved riding that thing!
That moment when you put a motor back together, and it fires!!! @9:20. let alone 15yrs later. But it's still the same feeling!!! Awesome work Ike!!!!! Much appreciation being sent from Australia 🇦🇺!!!! Ditch the tank, get a new fuel pump and run that girl!!! She's dying to run after 15 years!!!
Mad props to both of you for preserving an intact beemer and then repairing an old "brick." When taken care of, these engines are very nearly bulletproof. I had a K75 and K100 several years ago and had not a single issue with either.
It was $100.00 plus it was just sitting on a shelf right there... complete.. and you know the history of it... didn’t have to track one down and not know anything about it’s background.. love it! Can’t wait to see what you build next
Pretty sure that thing holds the record for slowest, heaviest engine ever. Would be cool to see what it can do with a 14t sprocket on the rear axle though.
Anyone can buy and put a busa engine in. This is why we love your channel, where else can we see an 80’s BMW engine fixed and put on a project. Let alone see an original bike running. Also the sound of this motor is smooth!
That’s going to be a great project!! Can’t wait to see it...... TWO WEEKS!!! Lockdown, I admire your optimism, try 8 to 10 at least and you might be getting close.... just make sure your stay safe guys, and take the social distancing seriously... it saves lives.
This is my favorite channel for sure. I've been watching since I was a kid and I'm 21 years old! You guys really came up from the beginning and the thing I love most is that y'all still make videos. Most channels stop or give up but not this one. Quality work and pro welding. Keep up the good work and stay safe out there! :)
Hey guys, Love the one episode build... for an engine sitting that long!! you guys got off well... Hats off to the guy that pulled it apart and stored it so well. Stay safe guys and God Bless... Both of you are looking strewn out... get some rest please... The US is hurtin' atm and my thoughts and prayers are with you all!! gold Bless from across the pond in Sydney!!
Ike, kudos to you. I've watched all your guys vids, and in every single vid when there was some sorta of anything that was wrong, you made a suggestion of what you think it was, and 99% of the time you were right. You are a very good mechanic. You guys only need 2 tool that will launch you into the next level of custom builds. A tig, and a metal lathe.
I'm at home in my recliner at 2:30 in the afternoon on a Wednesday watching the video . Normally I'm a workaholic but doing my part for social distancing. Thanks for the program
They do it on purpose. BMW deliberately designs it's products to be impossibly hard to service yourself. If you do wish to do it yourself, nope, fuck you try again. Only after spending 1,000"s of dollars on tools made by BMW will you actually be able to perform self repair. I don't know why anyone puts up with this.
@Exotic Creature Ive got 200,000Ks on my GS and its never been to a shop. Only need 1 special tool to get the final drive off and thats a ground down socket that anyone can make.
You young men are on track Ike the look when a engine first fire up is universal and priceless Probably the same look of when man created fire Look what I have created . Good job guys happy and safe Easter
That would actually be the perfect engine for the drag rail. Its low profile would allow you to see over, shaft driven would eliminate all the chains and Jack shafts, plus you got gears to bang through giving higher top speed.
Hey guys you should totally use the tank thats on it. it holds about 4-5 gallons of fuel and its real easy to use and replace the fuel pump when you need to
It's a mystery what Ike actually does for a living. Sometimes I think he works with small engines, sometimes I think he works as a auto mechanic, and sometimes I think he works at a machine shop. I even thought he had a bicycle shop at one point... (It's his twin brother's shop) I've Been watching the channel over 4 years. Love y'all.
Watching Ike run on those bearing caps by hand triggered my ptsd. I used to do that by hand too but now I use a cordless drill set to the lowest torque setting and slowest speed and then torque them
Put it on the drag cart frame hanging from the ceiling in IKE'S garage. Like a old Nostalgia drag rail with a real live axle in the rear. Hey whats up with the frame I have an idea for a 3 wheeled yard/off road trike but need a wide body frame that would be perfect.
also bring back the old race cart before the $50 dollar go kart. i started watching you guys back when i seen you do the 212cc engine swap on the monster moto minibike. it’s great to see how far you guys have come, keep up the good work and i hope you guys the best of luck
That is going to be a cool start to a new project. I love those engines. The fuel pumps on those are better than most, you may try cleaning it out. The plastic holder in the tank is usually broken. The tank is aluminum, though, no rust, EVER!
One pretty cool thing about these bmw bikes is that you can build an entire r75 i think it was, from bmw´s parts catalog still ! Very expensive, but still pretty cool!
Great great video guys, I have been following this channel for over 4 years and this was one of the most nicely produced videos I have seen on this channel. Love the new engine can't wait to see it run. Stay safe, healthy and happy :)
Watching this today in 2022 and I'm thinking you guys need to revive the trophy cart , maybe go back to the drawing board. Idk this powerplant has so much potential and I feel like the trophy cart has been side lined for a long time now. Ideas ideas still great. I still go back and watch old videos
Been watching your videos for a while, like'em.....so l went out and bought a v45 to build an off-road cart shaft drivin ....and now you guys are getting there before me.😆
Hey Guys.... Love the video, as always.... Hmmmmmm, how would that fit in your FED (Front Engine Dragster)? :-) I got my second job when I was 12 yrs old working after school in a Go Kart shop, assembling racing 2 strokes on kart chassis, etc.... and racing on weekends. That was back during the early 1960s until I went in the Army in 67, then after I was discharged I got my introduction into drag racing "shoeing" (driving) a Jr. Fueler FED for a team... and at 70, I still love doing what you two are doing... Keep up the good work, and enjoy it while you can... PS; I can't believe that after all that careful re-assembly, you spray ether into that engine.... Ouchhh!! Nasty stuff!
Can't wait to see what is to come! I have an old Trisport that needs to be restored. Only thing is lack of funds to rebuild the engine and torque converter, or to replace them with a newer engine t/c setup. (Disabled Vet with limited funds)
This power plant is going to be a beast🤑
Aye sup carsandcameras
I think that you guys got to find an old Briggs 7 or 8HP engine and use on a go kart. I have an example in my channel if you want to to see it. There real hot rod go kart motors with the low idle.
Hell yeah, straight pipe
Do I hear custom bmw powered turbo side by side coming
Beard looks good. Bromance
I started watching way back on the $50 go cart build, bruh its insane how far you guys have come. The editing, the content, you guys have legit sponsors, just crazy to see.
RookieOfTheYear thanks for being a part of it🤘
Agreed, but please don't go all UA-camyWood with the damn elevator music, seems to be a bad trend.
I would rather listen to banter and engines than music.
Now that Russell is retired he needs to be in Cars and Cameras. He can do some guest comedy spots and be Ikes boss emeritus.
Ed Beard agreed
He definitely needs to be a recurring character.
Agree. Russ is a hoot.
Yes, forsure
For sureeee
Reverse trike bike like the spiders perfect built for that motor
im hoping its gonna be a rear engined dragster. that would be epic. ive been missing the rail.
That would be cool. I'd love to see a massive vtwin if they could find it.id love to see a 1300cc Harley Davidson twin on a rail
Fr. It's getting nice out they need to bring the rail back. And make it faster than ever
The motor actually looks really sweet. Can't wait to see the build
I have a 1986 K75S still sitting in my garage. Fuel pump went out about 20 years ago, the same time I was getting knee deep into a career and family. I preserved it well, I think it's time to resurrect the old classic. Man I loved riding that thing!
Things I hope this goes in:
- tadpole trike
- some kind of bike-based dragster
- cross kart 2.0
- ridiculously overpowered minibike
You forgot , my garage lol
I'm sure theres a power wheels out there in need of a new power plant like the little tikes car was lol
Looks like you got Number 3 on that list
That moment when you put a motor back together, and it fires!!! @9:20. let alone 15yrs later. But it's still the same feeling!!! Awesome work Ike!!!!! Much appreciation being sent from Australia 🇦🇺!!!! Ditch the tank, get a new fuel pump and run that girl!!! She's dying to run after 15 years!!!

I am ready to see what this is going into! I hope it is a second cross kart build!!
Build another cross cart with this so Ya'll each got one to rip together
Bring back the diesel cart and do something different with it
Spencer rounds turbo diesel would be cool
1:1 raitio it. Lols
Maybe put it on a mini bike with a very tall gear ratio
Pretty sure that thing holds the record for slowest, heaviest engine ever. Would be cool to see what it can do with a 14t sprocket on the rear axle though.
I love listening to old mechanics complain about BMW design haha
They are a nightmare, cars or bikes .
i love airheads, but not a fan of the K bikes
Thank you for being safe and continuing the builds. I look forward to seeing what this beast is going in
Anyone can buy and put a busa engine in. This is why we love your channel, where else can we see an 80’s BMW engine fixed and put on a project. Let alone see an original bike running. Also the sound of this motor is smooth!
nice job guys but I'm just drooling over that red willies in the background thou! lol
CONGRATULATIONS on 800k in advance!
That’s going to be a great project!! Can’t wait to see it...... TWO WEEKS!!! Lockdown, I admire your optimism, try 8 to 10 at least and you might be getting close.... just make sure your stay safe guys, and take the social distancing seriously... it saves lives.

Thanks for not using the 360 deg camera
I’ve watched these guys since the very beginning and their videos never get old. Keep up the good work guys!
This would make a great engine for my'71 MG Midget! Water cooled, 5 speed, shaft drive, and 90% more power! You're giving me ideas...
You guys should do a 100hp electric go-kart.
The smallest car transmission you can find, and something like a Harley V twin... just something without the transmission case integrated.
I enjoyed this style of filming. The chill beat was pretty cool.
I'm at home in my recliner at 2:30 in the afternoon on a Wednesday watching the video . Normally I'm a workaholic but doing my part for social distancing. Thanks for the program
Won't lie, clicked on this video fast because of the Jeepster in the background, I have a 1950 and love it
Those engines are torque monster. Will go great in a buggy
I saw Ike with the beard and saw a young Santa Claus. Jolly. About to give everyone a gift. A gift of fresh and clean motorcycle.
Your editing skills keep getting better and better! Keep it up!
$100 90hp shafty is a crazy build engine starting point. Mount is as low as possible.
That engine looks awesome with the tank on top. Would make a wicked looking sand rail/buggy with front engine.
Russell is my new favorite person on this channel.
Who ever designs an engine with a hidden oil filter deserves to get kicked in the nuts
😂
They do it on purpose. BMW deliberately designs it's products to be impossibly hard to service yourself. If you do wish to do it yourself, nope, fuck you try again. Only after spending 1,000"s of dollars on tools made by BMW will you actually be able to perform self repair. I don't know why anyone puts up with this.
@ 7.44 is there not a cover in the sump that come off to access the filter with the BMW tool?
@Exotic Creature Ive got 200,000Ks on my GS and its never been to a shop. Only need 1 special tool to get the final drive off and thats a ground down socket that anyone can make.
Exotic Creature clearly you never owned a bmw. I do all my own work on them and it’s not that hard.
The way the engine sits surprisingly helps the handling on the bike it has a nice balance
So yall put this engine back together that hasn't ran for 15 years and started it with ether? You guys are smart!
Yall should build a barstool kart
It was awesome to see your old boss! We need more videos with him in them too!
That Isuzu, in the beginning, is awesome!!
John Paul Jansen dude I want an Isuzu trooper so bad. I have an amigo but a trooper would be sick
I have a feeling I've never had a boss as cool as Ike's.
I like ol Russell. Keep him coming back. Good stuff guys, ready to see this bad boy in something
That trooper is sweet. I've got one just like it in dark burgundy. It's a monster on the trails
This is the comment I was looking for! What year do you think it is? Late 80s or early 90s?
@@MadHatterOfMetal they looked pretty much the same from I think 87 - 92. Mine is a 90.
Sounds like one of my projects, has a problem, orders part, sits for several years until I decide to fix it 🤣
You young men are on track Ike the look when a engine first fire up is universal and priceless Probably the same look of when man created fire
Look what I have created . Good job guys happy and safe Easter
I want to send you a project, a go cart.
do it
Do it
I’ll take it!!😂 been looking for a project.
do it Do it
I might buy it for the right price if you are near me
Isaac and Russel just can't keep away from the old place.
The engine set up looks like good basis for a reverse trike or front engined kart.
That would actually be the perfect engine for the drag rail. Its low profile would allow you to see over, shaft driven would eliminate all the chains and Jack shafts, plus you got gears to bang through giving higher top speed.
That Isuzu trooper in the back ground is mint 👍

Watching Ike run on those bearing caps by hand triggered my ptsd. I used to do that by hand too but now I use a cordless drill set to the lowest torque setting and slowest speed and then torque them
Just use a random same size car fuel pump and use the stock mounting housing.
No need to use an inline fuel pump.
I did it,works like stock.
please leave it with the open header, it sounds awesome
Put it on the drag cart frame hanging from the ceiling in IKE'S garage. Like a old Nostalgia drag rail with a real live axle in the rear.
Hey whats up with the frame I have an idea for a 3 wheeled yard/off road trike but need a wide body frame that would be perfect.
Some of the best video quality in editing from you guys
Love the 2 Honda Trail 70's in the background...
Great Michael Corleone impression from the oldtimer right there...
I love budget builds, use what you have and make something fun 👍
I follow you from Iraq, I love you🖤🖤💜
Your wording is a little weird,”. علي البطا
@@ryan14r95 I tell you, I love you from the State of Iraq, I am Arab and I enjoy watching your videos and I respect you very much🌹💜
Engines break down barriers and unite us gear heads! Glad to see the appreciation felt from so far away!
Looking at this, it makes me want to see an idea I had about a reverse 3wheeler. One big mud tire on the back and 2 sand rail type wheels up front.
I can't wait, that engine will be sweet in a go-kart!
You should build a side by side with a full travel suspension and install that beauty!
You guys are more talented than I thought to pull something off like this! I wish you the best of luck with it.
Man that thing looks great!
also bring back the old race cart before the $50 dollar go kart. i started watching you guys back when i seen you do the 212cc engine swap on the monster moto minibike. it’s great to see how far you guys have come, keep up the good work and i hope you guys the best of luck
We are definitely more than 6 feet apart ..... get that thing running BMW......JJ ......
That is going to be a cool start to a new project. I love those engines. The fuel pumps on those are better than most, you may try cleaning it out. The plastic holder in the tank is usually broken. The tank is aluminum, though, no rust, EVER!
" Lock down " LOL.. Engine sounds mean guys .. ENJOYED !!
Someone's got some cool toys at the shop!
Front engine RWD cart with that shaft-drive would be amazing
Instant thumbs up for the brick.
One pretty cool thing about these bmw bikes is that you can build an entire r75 i think it was, from bmw´s parts catalog still ! Very expensive, but still pretty cool!
Y’all should buy out that garage!!! More room for working on projects and store more awesome projects and content
Great great video guys, I have been following this channel for over 4 years and this was one of the most nicely produced videos I have seen on this channel. Love the new engine can't wait to see it run. Stay safe, healthy and happy :)
Number #1...YES!!!
Perfect base for an all wheel drive go cart
You should build your own custom cars and cameras engine
Watching this today in 2022 and I'm thinking you guys need to revive the trophy cart , maybe go back to the drawing board. Idk this powerplant has so much potential and I feel like the trophy cart has been side lined for a long time now. Ideas ideas still great. I still go back and watch old videos
Come-on guys, give us a hint on what it's going into? You guys are awesome! Keep it up.
Can't wait to see this powering an awesome machine!
That motor sounds awesome, has a nice rumble to it. It should move well in whatever you put it in.
Looking forward to this build guys, it's gonna be awesome!!!!!
It’s cool how Ike just put it together as if he just took it apart the day before
That thing sounds MEAN! When you get.it sorted out, that will be a BEAST!
Edit is fire!!!!
What!? A oil filter inside the engine? That's like ordering a cheeseburger with no cheese it's pointless! 😂
Love the content, good info!! Looking forward to the project your putting it on!
Been watching your videos for a while, like'em.....so l went out and bought a v45 to build an off-road cart shaft drivin ....and now you guys are getting there before me.😆

This project has really got me excited, I’m seeing it with a small supercharger on it. That would be seriously badass. 🤘🏻
Can't wait to see what is to come! I have an old Trisport that needs to be restored. Only thing is lack of funds to rebuild the engine and torque converter, or to replace them with a newer engine t/c setup. (Disabled Vet with limited funds)
Your old Boss seems like a really nice guy!
Something big with long travel suspension would be cool or a really fast straight liner
Nice to see you guys playing with some engines that aren't for lawn mowers
