Great point! I was just covering it more for the average person and the intended use of the stock modularity of the product as opposed to standard slice and dice foam. Thanks for the feedback and the subscription, and hopefully you enjoy future content to come!
So the case has plenty of unused depth. Seems like magpul could send layers of substrate foam that you can add or subtract to fit weapons like your Tavor. Lots of guns like that with offset lights and optics that add to overall width. Have you considered modifying the bottom layer of foam to add some depth?
That sounds like a good fix, instead of one thick layer of foam, provide a few smaller layers that add up to the same thickness, to pick and choose from that work best for your setup. I have not. I don’t think I’m skilled enough and also lack the proper tools to be able to evenly cut the foam that I’ll be happy with
You are supposed to have the blocks touch the case side and the weapon. You have the barrel with a single row in front of it, that would be very weak if it fell on that side.
That was just demonstration for the video on how the blocks interact. I can’t even use that case for that weapon as shown by the lid not being able to close. Thank you for the tip though!
You could get rid of that POS Glock in the case and you can make the charging handle and hand stop fit into the lower section voids. Other than that first world problem this was a good review. Glad the 1750 size is out now. Merry Christmas to me.
I take it someone doesn’t like Glocks! 😂 The holes aren’t big enough to accommodate those parts without cutting the foam. Thanks for the feedback, merry Christmas to you!
Closed cell foam is cheap. I have a few foam configurations I made with a bottom flat piece epoxy bonded to another piece of foam cut the way I like it. $25/configuration is FAR cheaper than the Magpul system. And I can use whatever harbor freight case instead of specific overpriced Pelicans.
I will nit be buying it. I thought I need it but I just rather have the exact fit of the normal foam. If I get more weapons I just get a new piece of foam
By far the best DAKA System review on the ‘net. Thanks!
This is one of the best reviews of any product I have seen in a long time. Thanks. You go in depth.
Thanks for the feedback and I’m glad to hear that you found the info useful!
Great and honest review, thank. You!
You're welcome!
You’re very welcome, and thanks for the kind words!
You can cut the sections to accommodate that handstop. I'm waiting for the 1720 size!! Good vid.

Can you cut the base panel to fit other cases?
You definitely could. It just might look janky is all

Did you try it in the Apache 9800 case? Looks like measurements are a bit off.
It’s in the pelican vault case it’s supposed to go in

Stryofoam is Extruded Poly Styrene. EPP is Extruded Poly Propylene.
Thanks!
The lid needs to be deaper
That would definitely help
No go for me...looks cheap and getting a new. set of foam for my Pelican is much cleaner, secure and better quality 100 %
Also lighter on your wallet!

Definitely the cheaper option!
Also I have just a 9mm and a AR-15
@@UchihaGremory sounds like it should be easy enough then for you!
This is Magpul's biggest failure. Love the concept, but it's not workable for a lot of guns.
Well said. Definitely not a total failure, but not as great as one would believe before any hands on with it
It’s sucks
What does?
Wonder if this will fit in a harbor freight gun case lol
If it's the right dimensions, it might!
Great video!
Thank you! I hope you found it helpful
