In this video, we compare the Sabian Quiet Tone to the Arborea Mute low noise cymbals side by side. The recording was done using an AB pair of studio standard overhead microphones by Beyerdynamic, no further editing/mixing was applied to the audio.
You can find both cymbal series on our webiste:

crazy singles and doubles strokes. that wrist and finger speed is something i wish i had
Thank you very much! :)
Excellent drummer and a good side by side comparison. So many of these comparisons try and tip the results to the product they want to "win", but this one was careful to use the exact same patterns and dynamics to make things fair.
Thank you Jonathan, glad you liked it! We also have some more low noise cymbal comparisons around, that you might want to check out if you haven't already:

I think I will go with the aborea. They honestly don’t sound bad at all, and since it’s for low volume, what does the tone really matter anyway IMO lol
Thanks for the great comparison!

How did the Arborea's work out for you?
For me I felt the Arborea Mutes had a brighter more responsive sound. I’m going to get a set of those. Either way can’t go wrong with the price and the sound quality is there. 🥁✌🏼
Absolutely, enjoy! :)
Thank you so much for your Amazing video!! We like it very much!
You are very welcome! :)
How about durability for Arborea as compared to Sabian cymbals? It' an important details as Sabian stress out this feature on that cymbals. Please share. Thank you. 😉
I can only afford the aborea...so that’s what I’m getting...there does seem to be a slight difference, but the aborea seem to hold their own....as long as they’re quiet but with the right feel that’s the main thing
How loud would you say they are? Quiet enough to play with neighbours about?
came for the low-vol comp
stayed for the grooooooves
Thank you Ben! :) You can find more drumming/music over at my personal channel if you like:

Is one quieter than the other or are they the same? I can’t really tell
I prefer the Arborea Cymbals
Cool
How loud go you recon they're compared to actual cymbals?
Which set is the lightest in feel and sound
Are Drumtec real feel heads (on acoustic kit) any good for a "low volume kit"? I had the silent stroke (1 ply) and hated them...
Hi Pepe, sure! They are 3 ply and have a very nice natural rebound and (in my opinion) are great for practicing. You also might consider the drum-tec pro mesh heads, which are even thicker but also considerably louder than our other mesh heads:

Great drumming man. Im at fence atm, thinking of getting the Arborea's, is there extremely high overtones? I really don't know how they sound in person, based off the time you used them, what did you think?
Tolerable to the ears for long periods?
Granted they don't need to sound great, so long as my ears aren't getting attacked by high ringing ha.
Thanks Bruce! You can check out another more comprehensive low noise cymbal sound comparison over here to find out which ones you prefer:

Thanks for the link, I've actually already checked it out prior. Unfortunately, I can't find any links to the Arborea mute B8's. Do you have an active link for them?
@@brucew1836 Hey Bruce, they are also in the comparison video? There's also this one with only B8 mute & Zildjian Gen16:

That Sabian Quiet Zone logo is huge
It is :)
It's a "loud" logo 😄

I just waiting Zildjian to make they Low volume B20 Cymbals!
Beau 1 like those Agean. Zildjian make brass and B8 low volume Cymbals.
Maaan the hand speed of the drummer.
Nice playing.
Agean wins.
Thank you very much Alessandro! :)
@@drumtecTV 😉👌 only the truth.
I love the Sabian because it's obvious I love Sabian cymbals
:-)
Arborea because i don't have enough budget. The Ride sounds great
I think the Arborea cymbal set sounds much clearer and better than the Sabian set. I honestly don't like Sabian at all
Its good for video clip property anyway
Honestly, this is the best comparison out of all the garbage ones out there.
Ralph wins :-)
:-D
It's really hard to get an idea of the actual volume if you don't have a proper reference sound like a human voice, and if you don't use the proper reference mic :-(
Volume can be super subjective, even if I recorded a handclap for the video. Best would be to test some low volume cymbals at a local store for yourself to get a basic idea. You can also refer to this comparison, but it will only be helpful if you are familiar with the volume of e-cymbals:

Kind regards!
arborean¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
Sabians seem louder to me which has always in my opinion been what all sabian cymbals are like compared to others
I thought the exact diffrent, i liked the arboea but when he started playing on the kit it sounded worse and loudrr than the sabian
For me Sabian wins except hi-hats, the other hats sound better. However, sabian has an huge awful logo
Hey Waldi, the Arboreas are less than half the price of the Sabians, so they might be a nice alternative if you are on a budget :) kind regards!
Hmm..they look bad/sound bad... Agean R cymbals are lot better.😉
They don't have to sound good, because they are intended for practice or triggering
Marko Marković but they hurt my ear when i hear them, so they ain't good enough to practice
Well, as always sound & look are very subjective topics :) but it´s ok if the slightly high pitched sound of low noise cymbals is not your cup of tea. They are considerably more silent than regular cymbals though, so it really depends at which volumes you monitor a signal to evaluate if it "hurts your ears". Kind regards!
Agean much better.
Если нет разницы, зачем платить больше
Exactly! :)
