RV Bedroom Fan

- #rvmodifications #rvfan #campingfan We needed a new RV bedroom fan. We've used a floor model for the past 3 years, and it worked well, but due to the size of the camper bedroom, it was always in the way.
We found a great solution with this Hurricane Wall Mount Fan18" model. It was super easy to install and works great. It moves the air better than expected and is very quite. With its location on the wall, it's out of the way and doesn't impede movement in the small bedroom passages ways. It's also very easy to remove from the wall when our RV travel takes us to a new destination and it's just a matter of seconds to place back on the wall.
Below is a link if your interested in purchasing this fan for your camper.

this is exactly what I was looking for I just ordered the 12 inch using your link, this is perfect
Thanks a bunch.
Wonderful addition Jerry! So glad to see this wall mounted fan mod. Great solution to keeping cool, with the quitness while sleeping. Blessings to you and Joan. Love this channel so much!
Just started our trip and used the past couple of nights. Love it!
This is just what I need thank you so much for sharing this video with us.
Hi Allen. So glad we could help. Jerry...
That looks really good I can see how walking around a fan in floor would be in the way a wall fan will be a lot better
Great addition to the bedroom.
Thanks Jean.
Hi Jerry!! Another great video!! Thanks!
Thanks Ricky.
You just make it so simple! I’m subscribed to your channel. Glad I found you
Thanks a bunch Dora. Appreciate the sub and we’re glad you found us too!
great idea Jerry...
Thanks David. We used it every day throughout the summer and early fall. Some times it ran for days. Turned out much better than expected. Jerry...
Great idea!
Have to get me one of those also.
Don, this has been a great addition. Simple install.
Nice ... Enjoy
I run hot most of the time and I have to have air movement when I nap or sleep and my wife gets cold easy. So the fan is a perfect addition in the summer and spring, Thanks Jerry!
Glad we could share. It was such a simple addition. Wish we would have added it sooner.
Hey Jerry, another great idea. I have a small box fan that I have been using to help with the circulation of my ac. This is a great idea and would actually give us a little more room as I'm having to set my fan on the dinette table or on the floor. Hope y'all have a great trip to Florida.
Thanks Ivan. It's working great. On low moving a lot of air and very quite. Jerry...
I was thinking of putting a small wall fan in our 5th Wheel and that seems to be what we needed. I was a little worried that was not a good idea till you showed it will work. Thanks SK
Hi Sandy. We use ours everyday. One of our favorite mods. Just remember to take it off the wall when you move to the next campground.
Very helpful and love your presentation style 😉
Thank you for the kind comment.
Jerry you are just so easy on the ear. Thank you for being so real and huggable
What a kind comment. Thanks! Joan says the same thing ;-)
Mounting a tower fan length wise against the ceiling works great too
I enjoy your videos
Thanks a bunch.
Nice mod. Have to have a fan in the RV and that fits your space perfect.
Thanks.
Hi Jerry. 😺😻👍
Haha! I call them homeroom fans, and I'm class of '99. I remember in 8th grade, the choir teacher was so particular about getting them to oscillate the same. The things we remember!
That's a really good idea, Jerry. All my bedroom floor space is taken up by a crate for the new puppy, so this might be just the ticket for me. We've had heat advisories every day this week here in Oklahoma, and this ac just isn't keeping up during the daytime. I mounted a tv last week and it's still up there; A fancy new fan could be next!
Hi Lisa. This has been a great add. Doesn’t get in the way and perfect at nigh on low. We take it down (just slips out of the bracket) and lay on the bed when we travel.
@@iLoveRVlife Oh, it detaches! That's even better!
You bet. Little bracket screws to the wall. Just sides on or off.
The Supreme model plays Diana Ross music. :)
Looks like that will work Jerry! Well, we took our maiden voyage out this past week to Johnathan Dickinson State Park in Hobe Sound, FL and checked out the rig. Have an issue with the ice maker on the residential fridge and we have a very hard to pull dump cable on our grey side. I hate those cable setups. Ordered a manual one today on Amazon and will install on Monday. Everything else seemed fine, so just waiting for the home to sell. We will be making reservations at Peace River for next month. It's over in Wauchula, FL Hey, maybe you can swing out that way!
Wow! That's fantastic Joe. You all will have a great time. That's not bad on your maiden run.
Don't get rid of your tools. There's always something to fix. It's a small world for RVers. I'm sure our paths will cross. Jerry...
Having done this before, yes, tools are a must! Always love the results of the challenge!
We use a tower fan. It has a small footprint, oscillates and shuts off with timer.
Thanks for sharing. Those are nice. We have a small version we use sometimes.
'Looks like you have another fan. ;)
HAHA! I do!
Hope Joan likes it - was waiting to see if Joan gives us a thumbs up
This has made a big difference, especially during the warmer months. Thumbs up! Joan
Jerry, enjoy your channel and instructional videos. Since you have had the fan mounted for 5 months and traveled with it, any issues with the wall mount. My wife is a fan addict and I need to install one if it will withstand the earthquake while traveling. Thanks!
It has been a great addition. No issues at all. Good air movement on the low setting. There's a small metal bracket on the wall the fan slips in. We always take the fan from the wall and place on the bed before we travel. Takes seconds to take down and replace. Jerry...
@@iLoveRVlife Good to know! Thanks for sharing!
You bet!
How did you ensure you weren't going to hit a wire in the wall when you drilled?
Hi Bob. There are no receptacles located on the wall. Usually a good bet the wall wasn't used as a chase. Jerry...
You said you guys are going camping in FL across the street from the beach.... would you share where are you going... would love to find a place near the beach! Thx. bg
Our favorite is Ocean Grove RV Resort in St. Augustine, FL. Very nice pool. Pull throughs, back-ends, paved and non-paved spots. You'll need to check their website for sites and pricing. We're not on the beach, but it's a 5 minute walk across the street. One other thing we like about the area is you can drive on the beach. We pack the truck for the day and just bum out. I could go on an on. Lots of things to do, good and great places to eat. We so enjoy this area.
Thx for that info, Jerry. Safe travels. bg
Perhaps a 12 volt fan ?
That was an option, but we don’t boondock that much and was able to find this fan and size to meet our needs.
Lots of extra bucks for electric
If you put a ceiling fan over the bed you wouldnt have to worry about a 6'1" clearance.
Height would be an issue along with the challenge of running power wire and a switch.
