Why would anyone want to rely even more on electricity? With more and more electric cars and everything else pushing the demands way up the price is going to skyrocket. depending on where you are located there already may be delivery problems with electricity, if not, just wait as your grid is more and more taxed. hopefully this system isn't in an area that gets truly cold, or you will be needing a supplemental heat source and you may regret not having a gas furnace there to pick up the slack. the push to these heat pumps, especially in cold environments is asinine.

@@57ford50 Appreciate your comment. Here in Colorado we don’t have problems with our electrical grid. I have attended meetings with the electrical companies, and they have confirmed that this is not the case in our area. Electricity where this job was installed is nine cents a kilowatt. We actually saw a decrease in our electrical cost this year and just because there’s more demand does not mean that there will be an increase in cost. It’s actually the reverse the more power the power company buys in bulk the cheaper they get it. We have lots of alternative energy projects, solar and wind, for example. We always design our heat pumps to have a back up heat source you must’ve missed that in the video. There is a heat kit that can supplement the heat pump or take over the entire load on extremely cold days or if there is an error with the heat pump.
It’s normal to question things when we go through a big change just like going from prehistoric dinosaur cars to electric cars. People are hesitant, but the change is inevitable. There is a lot of misinformation and concerns, but I assure you all of the math has been done and we do understand that this is a better path and I hope one day you will see that as well. We cannot continue to rely on propane or natural gas as it is not a renewable source. We can continue to make electricity through solar and wind for example, that is renewable and at the same time, not pollute the environment with burned fossil fuels.
We have plenty of customers that are very comfortable with their all electric systems that are saving hundreds of dollars in some cases per month and are very comfortable even at -22°
