Surely at least one or two of the chapter two vessels shouldn't be that hard to find? This depth-prioritizing approach is interesting (and all attempts so far seem to have been successful), but there are still lower-hanging fruits as well.
I think 'Witch' is in reference to the druidic nature of the cabin. It's all roots and stuff that just happened to grow in that shape. EDIT: And I commented this before the ending.
At its heart, Slay the Princess is a love story. Just sometimes it's about a kismesis instead of a matesprit.
The parts that are always the same get more endearing every time. The mirror and the narrators catchphrase are great

I mean since times long past witches and cats were intricately intertwined in stories.
