    hey man, after months driving the truck like this, have you noticed any bumps between the UCAs and the spring towers while flexing because of a pot hole or speed bump? I want to do exactly the same but I've read about this issue and I live in a country with fucked up streets and speed bumps everywhere, also, do you know approximately the weight of the spacers? I'm shipping by plane to the other side of the world and every gram matters haha, thanks!

    • @five7garage826
      @five7garage826  3 роки тому

      It really depends on what your trying to achieve, the bigger the lift the bigger the tires you can put on. The majority of 3+ inch lift will come with a 1 inch spring spacer you will have to install in the rear.

    I have a question and I would appreciate someone answering it; I already installed a 3-inch kit on my truck but I want to raise it another 3 inches, is it possible that I can put one kit on top of another?

    • @five7garage826
      @five7garage826  2 роки тому

      It is not possible. I will assume you have already installed some sort of leveling kit that installs on your coils or struts. As is your control arms are almost maxed out at their downward position, that’s bad for your ball joints and CV axles. If you want to go taller that’s when you will need to relocate/drop your control arms and that’s when lower cross members are added and spindles are replaced and drop steering links are put on. You will have to replace the kits if you want to go taller, BUT their is another option if you just want to get another 1-2 maybe even 3 inches without replacing any suspension components and that is body lifts. Look into them. Hope that helps 👍

  • @robertj5663
    @robertj5663 2 роки тому +1

    Would you recommend this kit or say go to a true 2” lift spring replacement as a better option?

    • @five7garage826
      @five7garage826  2 роки тому +1

      Oh definitely a 2 inch lift kit with springs and control arm replacement option will be a better, because they are designed with control arms with a greater ball joint pitch and potentially same comfort versus compressing the stock springs making it for a harder ride. The only drawback is that they cost more.

    You sound very knowledgeable and I am looking for guidance. I recently purchased my first truck so I am new to the truck world and its language. I am looking for a leveling kit but I cannot find the components anywhere, I am open to a small body kit but I am also having trouble finding what I need. My local lift kit shop suggests using components for a 2016 model and it just doesn't sound right. I have a 2022 F350 dually 4x2 7.3L gas, what can I do?

    • @five7garage826
      @five7garage826  2 роки тому

      Let me start off by saying congratulations on your new truck. You just skipped the little and jumped straight to the big leagues 🤙. I haven’t dealt with many Fords but I do agree with what the shop said. Many makes do use previous generation suspension components and body parts on new models, all they do is update front ends, rear ends and interior design. But they utilize the exact mounting location because they keep the exact dimensions underneath to a certain extent, some backside components do change as well for example a radiator/core support. That’s why front end swaps are pretty common. Hope that helped a little and kind of points you the right direction 👍
