- Kentucky Rifles are a genre far from the limelight, yet their place in American history is as important as it is undeniable.
Rarely are such high quality firearms of this type seen in such quantity. Supplied largely by The Piedmont Collection of world class Kentucky rifles, this auction will shine some much deserved attention on these stunning pieces of early American craftsmanship.

Wow very very very beautiful!
Amazing collection
My grandfather , " the Stockdoc " had three of those . Top right stack. I do not know the name . But its unmistakable that its the same. I think the gunsmith was Reed Mills or, mells or something like that. Wish i would have taken more time to learn about them when i was a teenager.
He also did two restores of a 1863 Springfield for a Museum in Wisconsin.
I know one was in multiple pieces when it was found by a basement contractor.
I remember i shot one at age 11, it hurt like hell.
The rings in the wood where so deep, and and cool.
Dating these rifles would have been a bonus to this video, these rifles were the weapons that existed during the ratification of our 2nd amendment December 15, 1791.Nice video :>)
Most of these rifles were from the early 1800s.
Why didn't y'all call up Ian from Forgotten Weapons?
Why do the stocks have such a steep angle?
