I had a '48 Universal. It had a 1/2 cab (steel) with a useless heater, which warmed my right foot , but just barely. The good news is that I learned about vehicle maintainance from that thing. 48 grease fittings, it needed tie rod ends, brakes, and brake cylinder rebuilds all the way around, a new master cylinder, and a whole lot more. It was my first set of wheels and at 16, was as old as I was.
Thank for watching. I had 49 3A sold in the early 80’s I had done a frame off restoration, was strapped for cash and you know the rest of the story, but I still have the pictures.
Thanks for sharing and your work appears excellent! We have a completely stock 1946 and I was with my parents when they bought it, though I don't remember as I was only three! LOL We live in Idaho and drive the Jeep daily, but not in the winter as we worry someone might run into it! It's not a vehicle you want to be in if you are in a hurry! Best of luck!
Great you still have it. I have been hooked on Jeeps when I was with my dad and his hunting buddy when his buddy bought a 1944 GPW I was 7 at the time. If you like I have 2 videos on my channel of that 1944 and yes the original owners son now owns it. We did 2 videos this past summer. I told him it needed to be documented. You need to do a video on yours,I know I sure would love to see it. If you decide to do a video please let me know. Thank you for watching and sharing your story.
Thank for watching, I had quite a few CJ-5’s in my day. Had my first ride in a WW2 Jeep back in 1955 I was eight and have been hooked on Jeeps ever since.

Nothing like a flat fender, a real JEEP, I wish my kids or grandkids had some interest in it. As long as I can get in her she ain’t going anywhere.
