Question, what if there are no images of what I need in Placeit, is it possible to upload an image from a site like Shutterstock and use that for my T-shirt design? Do you have any tips or tricks on this situation? I would of course need to pay for the copyright free images from Shutterstock, but wanted to get your input on this... thank you! Nate
@@natron66 On PlaceIt, where you can edit the image, you can upload a design from your computer. Make sure you do have all the copyright issues addressed though!
Guys I’m 17 and I have just gotten into this with literally no idea of online businesses but I want to start making money. I watched this video like 2-3 times 😭 and I’ve just launched my first print on demand product and I’ll try coming back in a week to update and then in a month. I accidentally stumbled upon this video after I had stopped trying Print on Demand due to Etsy banning my store and the youtuber I was following I ended up unfollowing as the advice they were providing and videos they were uploading were no longer relevant to me. Not only have you reignited a portion of my motivation that was tied to Print on Demand, which I now want to give it another go, but you have helped to provide an alternative solution, which many other people do not do. Thank-you so much Greg for your time and this video. I wish nothing but continued success for you.

@@GregGottfried Dear Greg, I followed your instructions and used Placeit to create some shirt graphics, then posted them on TeePublic, but they deleted my online store with the reason "Violation of Terms and Conditions". I don't know why this happened. I thought I could use Placeit without license problem as you said. Could you give me some advices?

Greg, you are the only POD influencer who gives me hope that I can make it in the marketplace arena. Everyone else is telling me I MUST sell on my own website, and spend countless hours on advertising and customer service hassles. Frankly, I just don't want to spend my time and energy on things I hate, rather than the thing I love: creating. For me, it's marketplace... or nothing.
Thanks for taking the time to comment. I agree! I've done it both ways now and the passive marketplace route is soo much more enjoyable from the seller perspective. The day-to-day tasks are more enjoyable and less stressful (frankly when you want to 'work' all you have to do is find more niches, create designs, and upload them). and once the work for the day is done, it's done, there's no monitoring ongoing ads or anything like that. I will say though, that initial niche research is the key to succeeding on the big marketplaces. Thanks again for the comment and if you run into any questions I can help with just let me know!

You are trying to sell the program for checking the products but I'm ok with it.
Also a hint. When you were copying the slogans. you were highlighting the text omitting the " marks.
Just ask Chat to create them in separate line without" marks.

Wonderful!!! I have watched what seems like a million UA-cams learning the POD business to start a shop. This by far, is the best! I can't thank you enough! Just you telling us the websites/programs to use is priceless. I have been floundering trying to figure out which programs and services to use. Unfortunately, I already purchased a few that I now know I don't really need. This is a must-see for all beginners! I was told somewhere along the line that Place-it was not worth the money, but it looks awesome to me - lots of tasks rolled into one program. Thank you so much!

Such a great video! Was curious as to how the copyright works after I upload the listing? For example, if I checked a quote or motto which is free from copyright, but maybe a year later someone else copyrights it, does that mean I have to keep track of all of my designs in case someone copyrights the same quote in the future? Hope my question makes sense. Thanks for sharing.

After watching so many videos on POD and considering all the dos and don'ts I started my business 3 weeks ago. I got suspended from red bubble without any reason and didn't get approved by Merch from Amazon. I hope this actually works for a beginner like me 😢
When redbubble changed her tiers i got susspended too , without any reasons , the truth that redbubble did the suspension to many people wiithout reason , and teepublic when u upload your design it wont be shown up on the marketplace your profil will be apprentice and that would made u invisible
I also watched alot of videos on pod and finally wanted to start my pod business on redbubble. And my account got suspended in the middle of creating my account! 😭

You forgot to mentioned that we first need to apply to the amazon merchant program and it can be challenging. 😃
I'll see if I can put together a new video with the best application tips, but here's the one I made previously and it all still holds true today: ua-cam.com/video/sKP0AOVbiq8/v-deo.html The only main changes are that they've become more selective than years ago, a lot of it has to do with timing of application unfortunately, and that you can reapply as many times as needed by using a different email address (I've spoken to a lot of people now who have been accepted on their 2nd/3rd/7th/etc try applying with a different email address). Once you're in, you're in, and it's well worth it to spend the effort on the front end.

Hi I am a 17 year old guy from India. I have taken all the notes from this video and I want to get started with POD. The problem is all the paid tools that you have mentioned in the video are costing around 17$(1420 rupees) which is not an amount I will be getting any time soon. Can you please help me and recommend some free alternatives, I tried some tools but they are upto some extent paid.

Anyways, I find the POD facts are overwhelming. But I will be watching numerous videos of yours while I go through this process again and set up my POD sites as well as writing and illustrating my second children’s book. how many designs recommended uploading a month?
As many as you can 😀 I'd look at it from the expected earnings side, and figure out how much you want to make. I'd say earnings are average about $1/per active listing/per month (and that goes for all the sites). Hope that makes sense, 100 shirts posted on 3 different sites for example is about $300/mo total (or $100/mo from each site). Every time you make a sale, you'll get between $2-$10 profit depending on how big the margin is set on that product. Teepublic sets the prices for you, but all the other sites let you set your own prices and profit margin. The $1 I'm talking about is to give you an average on overall accounts earnings per month. You may have 100 designs live, but only make 20 sales that month. Not every design will sell every month. So if we are averaging between $2-10 per sale (and we got 20 per month) that averages $100 profit that month. With 100 designs, that comes out to about $1 per active design on the account. I hope that helps!

Thank you for your detailed videos! When you are creating your design on placeit, should the design be centered on the colored rectangle (background) space or closer to the top? I noticed your circle design example takes up much less space than some of the design choices. Ideally, where should the design be in order to avoid awkward placement on the tshirt in the end?
