GG. Great video.
Big help. Thanks.
Glad it helped! Thank you 🙌
awesome detailed and thorough video. thank you for sharing
Glad it was helpful!
Hey Greg, great vid! Do you recommend trying out several niches and sticking with the one that hits, focusing from the start, or remaining broad? Thanks!
👍Great info Greg! Are you using Zazzle? Gonna keep applying to MBA to get accepted. I've been referencing your previous MBA tutorial. In the application, do we use our name or the name of the POD store? Any advice? Also, its so frustrating seeing so many designs being copied. Thanks for all you do and share.🙏
Thanks for posting another great, and informative video Greg.
I do have a hypothetical question though......
Your t-shirt example had a date on it (1970), but I'm curious if there's an easy way to allow that date to be customizable? So, then that way it could potentially broaden sales.
Thanks again Greg
I think this specific issue was well addressed in the video.
I understand that Greg mentioned that "one" can create the same design, but with a multitude of different years. However, I know there's a way to set it up (can't remember if it were Amazon or a different POD platform) a way to customize certain things to order...such as a specific year, name, etc.
Pure gold as usual.
Thanks Susan 👍🙌🙏
Thank you! Great info!

Excellent video! Thank you so much!
Hi Greg! Thank you so much for such a nice step by step tutorial on POD! I wanna ask a question. Can we run paid ads for our t-shirts to bring sales quickly ? if yes, tell me te process please!
Great information. You should cover how insane it is to actually get accepted. If you don't get accepted you can NEVER reapply. Maybe make a video on how to actually apply the to not get denied.
Thanks! I'll see if I can put together a new video with the best application tips, but here's the one I made previously and it all still holds true today: ua-cam.com/video/sKP0AOVbiq8/v-deo.html The only main changes are that they've become more selective than years ago, a lot of it has to do with timing of application unfortunately, and that you can reapply as many times as needed by using a different email address (I've spoken to a lot of people now who have been accepted on their 2nd/3rd/7th/etc try applying with a different email address). Once you're in, you're in, and it's well worth it to spend the effort on the front end 👍
@@GregGottfried I was denied for the second time on Amazon using a different email each time. All the information entered (bank account, ss#, etc) are all the same so don't they flag you as being the same person re-applying? How long do you recommend waiting between applications? Thank you!
Thank you Greg for the information/tutorial. Super helpful! One question, if you already have a seller account on Amazon do you still have to apply to sell print on demand?
Thank you! I wish you could use the same account, but you do have to create a separate account in their merch on demand department.
Thanks for this great content!! I am ready to get started with print on demand. What kind of business would you suggest creating to get started?
Nice! You don’t need a business entity at all to get started. POD is treated more like freelancing so you just add the profits to your normal income as other income at the end of the year 👍

Hi, Firstly, I want to say many thanks for such an informative Video. A lot of people are on You tube and other media, trying to make money or by putting out trainings that really don't say much. This and your earlier Video has been super informative, as I am really new to 'Print on Demand'. I have designs online just struggling to get people to buy, please can advise how you market your material.
Many Thanks, CK
Thanks for the insight. Can you tell us what printing process they use or is there a choice? I prefer screen printing over all others. The last tshirts the wife ordered me from Amazon the print wore off in a matter of months normal wash n wear. Other silk screen shorts are still going strong after years. Quality would be high priority under the business name. Thanks again.
Silk screen shirts** big thumbs
Hey Greg do you have any tips on how to get more sales because i haven’t been getting any
When downloading designs can you store them on google so that your icloud storage doesn't get full on your phone! What other places besides google would you recommend for storage for large lists of designs other than icloud!!? Thanks Greg
Excellent question! Google Drive is my go-to actually. They charge $9.99/mo for 2TB of storage. I've never come close to filling it, but it's nice to have a ton of storage. They even start at 15GB for free, and only $2.99/mo for 100GB I believe. It's actually a really good deal in my opinion. Just as a side note, I've done actual physical hard drives before and it's too much of a hassle and inconvenience compared to just being able to upload directly to Google Drive.
after I click the download of my design, and click download again, the Save to file pop-up doesnt appear. also on a previous tutorial you said that we could click on the top of the design to rename it. I cannot see how to do this either. When you get to the saving the file part, I cant clearly see how to do this.
Let’s see the results✌🏻
great videos greg how many designs should we create a day and how many designs in each merch informer niche should we create to hit 10k a month
Thanks! As far as earnings, over a long stretch of time it averages out to about $1/per active listing/per month (and that goes for all the sites). Hope that makes sense, 100 shirts posted on 3 different sites for example is about $300/mo total (or $100/mo from each site). Every time you make a sale, you'll get between $2-$10 profit depending on how big the margin is set on that product. Teepublic sets the prices for you, but all the other sites let you set your own prices and profit margin. The $1 I'm talking about is to give you an average on overall accounts earnings per month. You may have 100 designs live, but only make 20 sales that month. Not every design will sell every month. So if we are averaging between $2-10 per sale (and we got 20 per month) that averages $100 profit that month. With 100 designs, that comes out to about $1 per active design on the account. So for $10,000 per month, that's about 3,333 designs total (uploaded to all 3 sites). It sounds like a big number at the start, but once you start cranking out designs, you can get to 50 designs per day pretty quickly. As for how many designs in each sub niche, I aim for 20-40 before moving on to the next. I hope that helps!
Thanks for this video. Do you have any design marketing videos? If you do, may I please get the link?
Thanks for asking! I don't use social media anymore because the sites do a good job with organic traffic (I think the time is better spent designing and uploading) but I still have a video showing how I used to do it! Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/DvWFwKSEByw/v-deo.html
Hey Greg, love your videos and this is a niche I want to do more in so thanks! My issue is that when I design a shirt and upload it to teepublic, when I search it doesn't come up in the results? Any idea why?
Hey thank you and no worries! It's just because it's a brand new account. They have a label called Apprentice, and it automatically changes to Artisan once you upload enough designs. They do this so brand new accounts that use bots to upload thousands of designs automatically don't all show up on the marketplace as spam
How accurate can the copyright and trademark infringement tool in the software be? What database are they using for that and how updated is it? Seems risky.
Thanks, Greg, for explaining every step. However, I have a question: what is the purpose code required to open a Payoneer account?
So useful!!! Can you recommend some suppliers that have different types of T-shirt?
Hello Greg...when uploading a design, is it a good idea to offer 2 options... the design on the front of a tee or on the back of the tee?
Great question. I’ve seen the best results from front only designs. I hope that’s helpful 👍
In a previous video, you mentioned that if you upload too many designs too quickly, an account can be flagged. Would this likely happen if I made a shirt with years and upload multiple different shirts in the same day?
TIA
Hey Greg. You have mentioned before to create 10-40 designs per niche, what would be a better strategy, staying at the lower end 10-20 getting through more sub niches or the higher end 30-40? Thanks for the help.
Great question Patrick, and hope you're doing well! It's going to come down to the specific sub niche because some of them have so many good slogans and design templates that you're going to end up wanting to make every bit of the 30-40. Others many be super small but still a good niche, so getting to just 10 may still be a challenge. I think you'll get the feel for it the more you start going into. I know that's not a direct solution, but I hope that's helpful to break it down a bit more.
Hi Greg. After watching a video of yours about 1 month ago I opened my Tee Public shop. I've been working on it for a month but I'm still in the "apprentice stage" and they don't answer emails in that stage. Their F/Q's say that they randomly recheck accounts for upgrades and to not contact them about it and that's all. In this apprentice stage my store isn't visible for site searches!( I can share my live link but that's all and that's not passive, lol) I've made my site look professional, I have a banner, a store name and a bio. I've created designs the way you suggested and even have made my own. I'm using chat GPT and Place It and Merch Informer. Also I've created albums to serve as my categories, and I make sure that on my store front my Tee's are still in an organized manner. I'm trying to let Tee Pubic know that I'm serious. HELP!! How do I get out of Tee Public jail, lol?
Hello?😢
Hey no worries! I'll see if I can put together a designated video on this but it's just because it's a brand new account. Essentially, they label every brand new account as "Apprentice" but it automatically changes to "Artisan" once you upload enough designs and they see you're not a bot spamming the platform. They do this so brand new accounts that use bots to upload thousands of designs automatically don't all show up on the marketplace as spam.
Thank you so much. I feel better about it now. I only have 24 designs up now because I remember you said to upload kind of slow. I'm up to 2 a day usually. Thanks again!!

Hi Greg. Thanks for det video. Do you change the price on your amazon shirts? What price do you recommend? Also how many designs do you need to upload to reach the goal of 10000 dollars a month? Do you think it is possible to reach this goal without doing ads in 2024?
Thanks! Alright a bit of a long answer but here it goes: Once you're accepted to Amazon, put your best 10 shirt designs up first. Set the pricing to just a dollar or two above cost to entice the sales early on. Once you start tiering up, bump the pricing up another couple dollars to between $17-$20 as the sweet spot. It sounds like a big number at the start, but once you start cranking out designs, you can get to 50 designs per day pretty quickly. Lastly, you definitely do not need ads to get to this amount of profit in 2024. I hope that helps!

@GregGottfried of that $10,000 you make a month, What percentege comes from Amazon Merch on Demand??
Thank you. Well on teepublic, there is account category section. Artisan account and apperentse account. Can you make a video on it? Any impact of account category on teepublic seller?
Hey thank you and no worries! It's just because it's a brand new account. They have a label called "Apprentice" for all brand new accounts, and it automatically changes to "Artisan" once you upload enough designs. They do this so brand new accounts that use bots to upload thousands of designs automatically don't all show up on the marketplace as spam.
@@GregGottfried okay, thank you for this clarification
Hi Greg can you make a video explaining on how to get an Artisan account on Teepublic? I have been running my Store in TeePublic and still on a Apprentice mode. Hope you can explain this. Thank you.
I have the same question. I'm classified as an Apprentice on Teepublic. Will that affect my sales?
I'll see if I can put together a designated video on this but it's just because it's a brand new account. How total designs and number of platforms using those designs is required to reach the $10,000 a month goal? I know this will differ depending on the situation and design decisions, but I just wondered if you had a rule of thumb we could follow to gage progress.

No worries! You can upload designs in any niche and you don't have to stay specific to any single niche. The strategy shown is for finding the opportunities within niches, and then creating several designs in each one of those before moving onto the next niche.
Great video. ❤ I live in the UK will I have any issues receiving the profits?
No issues! If you run into any other questions just let me know 👍

I don’t believe so, but you can use PayPal, Payoneer, or direct deposit to your bank 👍
What do you do if one of the merchandisers blocks you after researching for copyrights, etc.? How do you get on the site? Tee Public had blocked me and I do not know why.
In UK Amazon has restrictions as to the number of designs you can upload. It starts at 10 and there is no information as to how you move to the next tier which is 15 designs. This is so frustrating

In India merch on Amazon is unable to connect a Indian Bank account... What to do
I believe you can use Payoneer's free US Payment Service to get US banking info for the application 👍
Fantastic strategy for leveraging AI and keyword research to excel in the print-on-demand market! 🌟 Focusing on low competition niches can indeed be a game-changer, allowing for targeted marketing and better visibility in crowded marketplaces.
Do they pay monthly or per purchase?
They pay monthly 👍👍
one thing you don't mention... if your application for amazon merch gets rejected, (which happens quite often), you can never re-apply!!!
You can reapply as many times as you’d like with different email addresses. I’ve spoken to a lot of people now who have gotten accepted on the second or third try just by using a different email address.
Any sales stats or PROOF at all?
How I can put my items price?
In regards to setting the price, on Teepublic the price is set for you (so they can run sales and promotions). However, on all the other sites we are able to set our own prices and therefore determine how big our profit margin is per item.
how many T-shirt designs do I need to upload average per day to reach the $10,000 a month income from this? Is it 50 designs per day or what amount do you think is enough? I’m looking for a benchmark to budget my time with. thanks.
F
Hi Greg, I do have this same question
You need to have 10000 listings so if you are uploading on 3 websites you need to create 10000/3= 3333 designs
There's no easy answer to that. It's going to depend on what your products are, who your niche is (are they big enough, over-catered to, big spenders, upsellable etc) are your designs good enough, do you pay to promote, what site fees and subs you pay for, costs or commission for each sale, etc etc. Making 10k a month and having 10k income/profit at the end of that are two *very* different things.
@@pikapikavibes6837I think within a year I'll have about 200 designs..
How much do you make with that?
If you want to put a name of a song on a t shirt should you get permission from the owner of the song or not???
I don't recommend it. The song title itself is technically not copyrighted, but once you put a graphic or association connecting the title of the song to the 'likeness' of the song, it becomes the song creators protected work. Essentially, they can claim we are trying to profit off of their work or reputation.
What do you do if you get rejected from Amazon merch on demand?
You can always re-apply as many times as needed with a different email address. I am interested sir
Why did you chose woodworking? How about other niches?
Any of the niches will work so they can all be treated equally. The key is putting them into merch informer to find all the sub niches. I chose woodworking just to use a good example, but you can go through the entire list, and then search for 50 more to have unlimited opportunities. Another good tip is you can switch hobbies to occupations or locations or many other things, and then use all of those results in merch informer to find low competition sub niches. I hope that helps clarify!
@@GregGottfried I got it. And what about 10k$ a month? How long time it may take if you just started?
Can you use your own designs on place it?
Yes you can! If you click the add element button in the bottom left, you can add a graphic and select it from your computer.

In regards to setting the price, on Teepublic the price is set for you (so they can run sales and promotions). However, on all the other sites we are able to set our own prices and therefore determine how big our profit margin is per item.
can you make a video how to promote my teepublic design on social media
Thanks for asking! I don't use social media anymore because the sites do a good job with organic traffic (I think the time is better spent designing and uploading) but I still have a video showing how I used to do it! Here's the link: ua-cam.com/video/DvWFwKSEByw/v-deo.html
How do you get approved for merch by amazon
I'll see if I can put together a new video with the best application tips, but here's the one I made previously and it all still holds true today: ua-cam.com/video/sKP0AOVbiq8/v-deo.html The only main changes are that they've become more selective than years ago, a lot of it has to do with timing of application unfortunately, and that you can reapply as many times as needed by using a different email address (I've spoken to a lot of people now who have been accepted on their 2nd/3rd/7th/etc try applying with a different email address). Once you're in, you're in, and it's well worth it to spend the effort on the front end.
What about Etsy ?
I'm not a huge fan of Etsy for POD. Here's a video on why: ua-cam.com/video/m2v5bifoIX0/v-deo.html
@@GregGottfried Thank you!
I kinda feel there's not enough info in this video on how to make 10k a month. This is how to design and upload a basic tshirt from scratch, which is great and all but....not. Comments here show you failed to address what people would watch this for; how many designs, what platforms are better, costs involved, gross vs net, traffic boosters etc.
That feedback helps! I’ll make an extended version for you with all these addressed. If you have anything else specifically you’d like to see covered in that video let me know 😀👍
I can help to print on demand
Hi sir
Hi!
What if someone copied your works.
Step one, hit like...
You're a legend!
Does this actually work? 🥺 I need money
As long as you're going into the sub niches, I think you're going to be surprised by how well it actually works. Things change every couple years, but right now this strategy is crushing it.
is it possible to earn $2,000 a month?
Absolutely 👍
Where is the calculation for $10k? 🤨🤨🤨🤨
If starting a business is this easy, why isn't everyone doing it? I'm not being a smart a ss I am just so mind blown.......
I agree with you 100%. I think it’s because nobody typically shares it this openly. I had to learn it all with my own research and trial-and-error. It does truly take a lot of hard work though and continuing to pursue the business even when it doesn’t start making money on day 1. A combination of a couple things I guess, but I still agree with your point 👍
