How Flamethrowers Bring Biggest WWII Reenactment to Life
Вставка
- Опубліковано 25 сер 2024
- Every year, thousands of living historians and history buffs gather in Reading, Pennsylvania, at the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum for the country's largest World War II reenactment. Dressed in period attire and using the weapons of the era, they give spectators a taste what life was like for those on the front lines and at home. Charles Hobson is one of the WWII enthusiasts. Hobson is a flamethrower expert and helps the Parris Island Living History Detachment recreate Marine Corps battles. #InsideEdition
Imagine a random WW2 Vet walking by dont know this and he sees all this stuff thinking he travel back time
chill 🤣
He gonn die of flashbacks
@@GeorgeWBush-be8xq lol😂😂😭😭😭😭
Or had a panic attack and passed out.
Visits this re-enactment once: *You know I’m something of a historian myself*
I want to be a civilian running around screaming. Don't they need people like that for the reenactment? I think that would be pretty good. Then I can make my acting debut.
Lol
Eobard Thawne 😂
It’s actually more of a risk if we have people running around in front of gunfire. Because what some people don’t realize is even tho we use blanks they can kill a person blowing a nice sized hole in their chests from 10 feet away.
That a good idea
@@KingGojiFan54 true
Such an expensive hobby but its definitely worth it
Arthur Morgan yes
I love seeing reenactment of ww2, I'm a teenager but I always wanted to be a reenactor
You don’t have to be in your late 50s to get into reenacting. Start doing your research and collecting now, so when you’re old enough, you can really get stuck in.
(Also have fun that’s important to)
Thanks for the help, I really mean it
@@HydraHolden
Well, we all know 50 year old guys reenacting is inaccurate anyways.
Lmao
@@Abigail-rv3rw Oh yeah it's hilarious watching 50 year old fudds hobbling across the battlefield!

If you're over 16 you could be in the home guard and if you're younger then be apart of the volksturm in the battle of Berlin

Veteran walking by not knowing it’s a re-enactment and thinking he’s gone back in time: THEY’RE IN THE TREES ROBBIE!
lol that’s me on the second far left.
I am mildly interested in ww2 but it's weird to call it enthusiasm that's legit saying I'm an enthusiast of recreating ww2 battles where multiple men died..
FNFDude45 I’m sure it’s for the practice of honoring those who have fallen in the battles, and for those who have fallen in the war in general.
This actually looks really fun what does it take to be someone that helps with this.
Elaborate please.
Vigilance Productions To be honest I don’t know how to elaborate so idk.
@@Zach-dr7jv Just say what you want to be.

Wasn't flamethrowers a big part of ww1 also?
yep they were, mostly on put on Mk 1 tanks and infantry, but they were also used in WW2
@@kamikazeHND really? They were put on british tanks. Never knew that. I only thought it had on the german side with it on A7V and the western front.
Ww1 flamethrowers were more scary then ww2. The germans were using it against the french at the trenches. So the french were terrified any moment they can be set on fire when they charge
Flammenwerfers
