Sofa here, for those of you who end up playing Overlord, here are some tips to make it fun: - Check the workshop description for mods you can use. - Set bots to 140 at maximum, otherwise attackers won't be able to get everyone to the beaches or landing zone and those who do make it will be outnumbered. - Set game length to Long or Epic, or use the Point Match gamemode. - Pause the game while selecting your weapons, or just spawn in immediately. The planes leave on a timer, and may leave without their passengers if you take too long to spawn in. - Put on the Medal of Honor: European Assault or Frontline OSTs.
Hey Sofa, I wish you could make a different version where they were more boats so we can try out more bots. I honestly feel like it was too barren when attacking. maybe add a couple more. Obviously this will be more intensive but that being said only systems that can handle it should download it. More power to you good sir!
It would be nice if there was a version that focuses on the trenches and city fighting, skipping the landings? Similar to your previous large maps being split into smaller maps
"Hand delivered Sherman's." Who remembers the Raven Field video where Baron said there needed to be more custom tank models from the WW2 era. (The big bridge battle video). This is basically a one up of that video.
Normandy is a province in France. A province is like an American state, Five more or less adjacent beaches were attacked at the same time. Their names are Omaha, Utah, Gold, Sword and Juno. The nations that attacked the beaches were America: Omaha, Utah. England: Gold, Sword. Juno: Canada. The heaviest resistance was on Omaha beach which is the one in Saving Private Ryan and pretty much every game, book, TV show that focuses on one beach, though I am sure that would vary based on country.
I love the depiction of the gloomy vibe whilst in combat. It reminds me a lot of Band Of Brothers where they were heavily dependent on the palette of dullness. Sofa, you've outdone yourself, sir.
At 4:45, the “suppressor” is a flash hider meant to help the soldiers keep their night vision. Also, the reason you can’t get a Tommy Gun with a drum mage is because the Tommies issued to soldiers didn’t accept drums. The reasoning behind this is because the U.S Military needed to make Tommies cheap and fast, so they didn’t include a groove needed to use drum mags.
Baron, if your flight controls are inverted, go to the settings and change your key bind options to old flight controls, that is what I use and I think this will help.
I'd say medal of honor above and beyond did a very good job at d day. It is obviously better for the fact that the graphics and price are freaking JACKED UP
Loved the video @BaronVonGames! Can't wait for the next Normandy Invasion Ravenfield video man! A few things I would quickly like to point out for you in this video. • The Ships you were spawning on were the Landing Ship Tank Mark 2's (LST 2's), from what I could tell, they looked like a Cross between the LST-1 and LST-491 Subclasses. The LST-1 Subclass had the Forward Elevator that brought the Tanks or Vehicles down to the Tank Deck from the Main Deck. This was Changed to a Ramp that was Hinged at the Main Deck in the LST-491 Subclass. The LST-2's had a Top Speed of 12 Knots (13.8 mph) and carried 2 to 6 LCVP's and About 140 Officers and other ranks. They were armed with 6 40 millimeter Guns, 6 20 millimeter Anti-Aircraft Guns, 2 .50 Caliber Machine guns and 4 .30 Caliber Machine Guns. • The Landing Craft bringing the M4 Sherman Medium Tank to the Beach was a Landing Craft Tank, Either a Mark 5 or a Mark 6. These 2 models are kinda Similar in size but they still can carry either 5 30-ton, 4 40-ton or 3 50-ton Tanks or 9 Trucks or 150 Short Tons of Cargo. The Main Difference is that the Mark 6's were designed with a Gate at the Stern/Back to act as an Improvised Pontoon Bridge for Vehicles Making their way to the Beach from the Larger Vessels, however, this was a lot more difficult when put to practice as strong currents in the Uncharted Tidal Shoals of the Pacific rendered this method only be used for the Heavy Tanks. The LCT Mark 5 was 117 ft. 6 in. long, 32 ft. in Beam/Width, and 2 ft. 10 in. at the Bow/Front and 4ft. 2 in. at the Aft/Back in Draft (also spelled as Draught, Either way, it's how much of the Boat or ship is under the Waterline) when Landing and had a Top Speed of 8 knots (9.2 mph) and armed with 2 single 20mm AA Guns. The LCT Mark 6 was 119 ft. 1 in. long, 32 ft. 8 in. in Beam, and 3 ft. 4 in. in Forward Draft, They had a Top Speed of 7 knots (8.05 mph) and armed with 2 single 20mm AA Guns and up to 4 Single .50 Caliber Machine guns. These Craft were organized into Flotillas of around 24 to 36 with each Division having between 6 to 8. The Larger Versions of this type of Vessel is called the Landing Ship Medium or LSM. It's Basically an LCT but it's built more like an Open-topped LST. The most Iconic Model is the Basic LSM-1 class which is the Transport variant. These were 203 ft. 6 in. Long, 34 ft. in Width, and when Landing had a Draft of 3 ft. 6 in Forward and 7 ft. 8 in. Aft while Fully Loaded these were 6 ft. 4 in. and 8 ft. 3 in. Respectively, they had a Top Speed of 13.3 knots (15.295 mph) and armed with a Pair of 40mm AA Guns and 4 20mm AA Guns. The LSM's could hold either 5 Medium Tanks, 3 Heavy Tanks with 150 tons being the Max payload when Beaching, 6 LVT's or 9 DUKW's. • The Bomber that Eagle/The American Forces was using was an A-20 Boston/Havoc by Douglas Aircraft Corporation. It wasn't really a Medium Bomber when Compared to the B-25J Mitchell, but more like a Fast and Hard-Hitting Light Bomber. This plane proved very useful against Japanese Convoys in the New Guinea Theatre in the Pacific and as an Attack Bomber in Europe with the Royal Air Force. In any case, Huge Props to @Sofa for creating an Awesome new Normandy D-Day Map. This kinda looks like the Morning After the Paratroopers Landed to Capture the Main Roads and Bridges leading to the Beaches. I do, However, have a Few ideas or Tweaks that might make this even more Immersive short of praying that SteelRaven makes the Game eligible for Multiplayer. 1.) The Introduction of More Modded Warships to Ravenfield. So far, we've seen only the American Fletcher-class Destroyers, Brooklyn-class Light Cruisers and Iowa-class Battleships and the Japanese Yūgumo-class Destroyers, Agano-class Light Cruisers and Yamato-class Battleships. But these two Navies had so much more to their Strength and Ranks and yet, Where's the Royal and Commonwealth Navies or the Deutches Kreigsmarine (German Navy), Where's the Royal Netherlands Navy or the Polish Navy or the Vichy and Free French Naval Forces or the Regia Marina d'Italia (Royal Italian Navy) or even the Soviet Red Navy? For this expansion, we'll keep it Focused on Normandy. The Eagle/Allied Forces will have the American Nevada-class and New York-class Battleships, All 3 Designs of the New Orleans-class Heavy Cruisers and the more Modern Baltimore-class Heavy Cruisers, The Latter Production Ships of the Gleaves-class Destroyers that Preceeded the Fletcher's and the More Modern and Equally Iconic Allen M. Sumner-class Destroyers, The British will get the Various Modernized Queen Elizabeth-class Battleships, The R-class or Revenge/Royal Sovereign-class Battleships, The Renown-class Battlecruisers/Battleships and the More Modern Nelson and King George V-class Battleships, The County-class Heavy Cruisers from the Kent, London and Norfolk Groups, the Leander-class Light Cruisers in the Main Leander Group, the Dido-class Light Anti-Aircraft Cruisers from both Dido and Bellona Groups, the Town-class Light Cruisers from the Southampton, Gloucester and Edinburgh Groups, and the More Modern Crown Colony-class Light Cruisers from the Fiji and Ceylon Groups and the British and Commonwealth Ships of the C and D-class and Tribal-class Destroyers, the J-, K- and N-class Destroyers, the S and T-class Destroyers and the U and V-class Destroyers. The Raven/German Forces will have the iconic S-boats and the Type 39 Torpedo Boats/Elbing-class Destroyers along with the M1940 Flak boats and Various Auxiliary vessels like the Dithmarchen-class General Stores Ships (like Altmarck, Nordmarck or Dithmarchen) or Merchant Raiders like the Atlantis or the Kormoran. 2.) The Addition of More Modded Factions in Ravenfield. The Only Modded Faction in Ravenfield is the Falcon Faction with their Neon or Lime Green Uniforms. They would also have a Tie to the Historic Factions of World War Two with their Colors. • Orioles (Orange) would be the Dutch, orange like the House of Orange. • Bluebird or Blue Jay (Dark or Royal Blue) would be the British, Bluebird being a reference to Dame Vera Lynn's Song "They'll be Bluebirds over the White Cliffs of Dover" or Blue Jay since Eagle (Blue) is going to be the United States. • Brown-Headed Cowbird or Canada Goose (Brown) for, Obviously Canada. • Boat-Tailed Grackle (Medium or Dark Blue Gray) for the German Luftwaffe Felddivision (Luftwaffe Feild Division), Sea Crow (Dark Grey) for the German Army, and Blackbird for the Infamous Waffen-SS. • Vulture (Dark Purple) for Vichy France and Maybe tone down the Green on Falcon and have them as the Free French. • Kookaburra (Khaki Green or Medium Brown) for the Australians, since this is a Bird native to Australia. • Kiwi (Russet or Slate Gray) for New Zealand, again a Bird Native to New Zealand. • Raven can be the Soviet Union, The Red Army. • Still working out how to bring Fascist Italy, Imperial Japan, Poland and Possibly even Greece or Norway into this as well. But you should get the idea here. 3.) The Map seems a bit Sparse for it's size as well as too little assets in use, though that might be likely to Performance Issues since not many people will have a Top-Teir, let alone God-Teir, PC on hand so it'll be fine, that and it's Ravenfield; it's Low-Poly. But More Ships in the Invasion Fleet like American Bayfield-class Attack Transport Ships (APA's) and/or British Landing Ship Infantry (LSI's) for the Troops to Spawn in and go into the Respective LCVP's and LCA's (Landing Craft Assault's) and make their way to the Shore. The LCT's should Spawn either By Themselves or have an Animation where they are On-board the LST's and then Launched over the Side by Keelhauling the LST while Another LST carrys the Sherman's, Wolverine's, Priest's, and any other Equipment or carrying the DUKW's and Launching them off the Coast. There should also be a sort of Delay for the Landing Forces where they won't start Moving until the Airborne Forces have Completed their Objectives in the Battle plan. The Airborne Forces should also have some more Aircraft at their disposal like C-47's with CG-4A Waco or AS.51 Horsa Gliders either Carrying more Troops (13 and 25 respectively) or Jeep Willys MB's and M1A1 (Now M116) 75mm Pack Howitzers or M1 57 millimeter (British 6-pdr) Anti-Tank Guns including an Animation where the Doors and Vehicle Hatches Open, while the C-47's not Towing Gliders each drop up to 24 Troops and even then, there should be some distance between the Rear of the Beaches and those of the Airborne Landing Zones as well as the Airborne Fighting becoming kinda like a Wave Survival Mission with Various Counter Attacks. "Hold Until Relieved" am I right? Also, there should be B-17E and B-17G Flying Fortresses, B-24D Liberators, B-25J Mitchell's, B-26G Marauder's, Lancaster B.1's and Halifax Mk. V's Bombing the Beaches prior to the Landing Craft Coming up to the Beach. The Halifax Bombers could also help with the Airborne Forces as it actually could Tow either 2 AS.51 Horsa Gliders or a Hamilcar Glider and Carry supplies; another Aircraft for the Airborne Forces is the Armstrong Whitworth Albemarle which could Tow a Single Horsa Glider. Hopefully, this gives you some idea's to play around with or look into for any D-Day style map. Hope you guys like the ideas, I spent about 3 hours typing this up! It's almost quarter after 3 in the morning where I'm from so I'm going to bed now and I'll catch you in your next video man!

Doesn’t even come close to Medal of Honors D-Day from 2003. I still remember the the opening quote before it’s starts! But it does look like a fun game 👍
Hello, Baron It's me, one of your fans, I come with a suggestion for a ww1 strategy game called pixel soldiers the great war. You've been looking for some good ww1 pixel strategy games and i believe that Pixel Soldiers:The Great War would make a great fit. Keep on making videos, we support you!

I wish I had Ravenfield, I would probably spend most of the time making mods/maps for it though... What I do know, is that I would abuse my excessive Star Wars: The Clone Wars knowledge to make mods perfectly Clone Wars!
Doesn’t even come close to Medal of Honors D-Day from 2003. I still remember the the opening quote before it’s starts!
But it does look like a fun game 👍
“Is it Omaha or Normandy?” *yes*

Hello, Baron
It's me, one of your fans,
I come with a suggestion for a ww1 strategy game called pixel soldiers the great war.
You've been looking for some good ww1 pixel strategy games and i believe that Pixel Soldiers:The Great War would make a great fit.
Keep on making videos, we support you!
Lol, there are alot of Dday maps out there, but none that put Rommel's Asparagus facing the proper direction lol.
You need to increase the length of battle. You have a lot of bots. But only 300 total lives that each can lose. Increase it to Epic for 1200 lives.
This is one of the best Normandy invasion
Its a free shooter for xbox and pc platforms you can be in a tank or plane
That would be the best multiplayer map to play on
Brig that p-51 mustang is op

While on the carrier you should have said “THAT AINT **** ITS MOSTLY MUD! SO LETS COVER IT UP IN OUR ENEMYS BLOOD!”

You should post links to the mods you use in the description.
Another great video!

Have you ever played Medal of Honor or the vr medal of honor both great games with best D Day
Paratroopers jobs with a flank the Germans and get rid of fields and Bridges so German reinforcements couldn’t come.😂
I downloaded this and this got in my recommendation
Can you please do another Roblox D-Day video? I really want to watch you discover more about the map
