The announcement of the Dodge eMuscle electric pony car made a striking entrance.
Critics of EVs immediately label it a failure, mentioning the old Barracuda as a vehicle that would be more warmly welcomed.
With Challenger's departure, one spot opens up in the lineup.
It was enough for us to research speculations about the Dodge Cuda comeback!
We hope you'll enjoy the video...

I know they're both Chrysler, but a 'cuda SHOULD be a Plymouth.
Dodge is still out (maybe not for too long) and Plymouth is done ☹️
Plymouth got dropped YEARS AGO and became Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep. Chrysler Corporation was starving the brand to death. Nov. 3, 1999 was it's official Death Day. Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth were all similar to Ford/Mercury/Lincoln. Mercury was also dropped. GM had GMC (trucks) Chevy, Buick, Pontiac, Hummer, Oldsmobile, Saturn, and Saab. All after Buick Died off in 2009 when GM begged the US Gov't to save em. All the while 5 Executives arrived in 5 separate Private jets. They were asked why not sell off the JETS to raise capital.....The look on their faces was PRICELESS. They are trying to save the Hummer name with a new EV but, they aint sellin and a 9000 lb vehicle has a HUGE insurance bill. Probably DOA much like a lot of GM stuff.
@@LetsDriveYTCorporate may still own the rights to "Plymouth" name and then can use it as a model designation instead of the car make. In this case we have the make as Dodge and the car model as Plymouth Cuda. Advertise it as "the new Plymouth Cuda by Dodge."
@@johnmcmullen456I know business is business, but I just wish a classic, revered, and highly coveted muscle car could die with dignity without its legendary name being cloned in cheap overpriced plastic. True originals only come around once. The "real" Chrysler Corporation disappeared long ago, but the name still has value. The modern day challengers and chargers have certainly been built for more years and in far greater numbers, but I've gotta wonder how many of them will still be around in 50 years or if anybody will even remember them. I spoke I'm just an old fool from the old school.
@@burtonholmes2096Really can't predict the future and I'll be long dead 50 years from now. However my guess is if car shows are still a thing in 2074, will have more 2023 model year Challengers, Camaros, & Mustangs displayed than Chrysler Pacifica, Chevy Equinox, & Ford Escape 2023 models. LOL.
I will never forgive dodge for putting 4 doors on a charger. Good thing Chevy didn't follow and make a 4 door corvete.😂 Anyway, How can the Dodge Baracuda make a comeback when there were never any Dodge Baracudas?
There is no reason to upset the Mopar God's by introducing a "Dodge Barracuda/'Cuda"! JMO as a 69 383 "s" Owner and Lover!
Strong Engine bruh. And was a backbone of the brand.
Looks terrible. If it does not even remotely resemble a 70 to 74 Cuda I have no interest in it at all.
anything less then a V8 will lose.
They better hang on to those hellcat motors. I think there is gonna be a bunch of fools looking for 'em.
You just wish some company would propose to take over production of the Challenger/Charger platform and continue production.
With a fresh look and a V8, think people will be cool with that!
@@LetsDriveYT Absolutely. During the pandemic the Challenger outsold the Camaro and Mustang combined
Interior pix seem to hint that a manual gearbox may be offered. That would be welcome news. Top speed suggested at 200 mph - but where in heck can one drive that fast? For me, Quarter Mile ET is more important.
Used old photos, but such a car without stick sucks! 200 mph is for showing off and drawing attention.
if theres no chrome, I cant condone
Chrome don't get ya home. And honestly is a waste. I bought a blinged out Ram with loads of Chrome and I can tell you it is a GIANT PIA to keep clean and shiny
@@anonimous2451I was born in the 50's. if theres no chrome, I cant condone
@@gordonmohr2268 Whatever that means, I was born at the tail end of the 50's and one learns life lessons BEST the HARD way. You do You.

Cuda is a Plymouth not a dodge.
If it comes back, it won't be Plymouth. Stellaris will use Dodge ☹️
Cuda woulda shoulda
Dodge Barracuda doesn't even sound right. They killed off Plymouth, let it R.I.P. Come out with a new name for the new vehicle. How about Dodge road runner? Sounds just as stupid.
With Charger and Challenger out, they need sth to draw attention... And Barracuda seems to be the perfect solution.
. Sorry , I don't agree. The name is awkward. Like having a Pontiac Camaro. It's doesn't roll.
Not interested in piece of crap electric cars 👎👎👎.
Not too many drivers are ☹️
@@LetsDriveYT they'll find out later that's a big scam 👌👍
👍
CUDA NOT BARACUDA
Barracuda was shortened to Cuda but was never an official offering. To TRY and bring this out now is simple conjecture, considering there are NO MORE V8 Engines being manufactured by Stellantis.
Same car diffrent dress.
@@Popsallen-z1k That's what the uninformed say. There are unique differences outside of the drive line.
I'll believe it when I see it.
