I‘m actually not sure. Alyssa really didn‘t had any winner like storyline; her only ones being her relationship to Tessa and her doing mediocre for half of the season. Recently they have always crowned the fan favorites, even when the rational winner of all stars 8 obviously was roxxxy (looking at track record and the Finale lip sync)

I think Ru intended to crown Alyssa from the start, and then make her the host of a franchise. Perfect way to close out 23 years of competition and touring. I hope it's Nelly up there with her as runner-up.

I absolutely love Nelly and would be overjoyed to see her win. However, I think suggesting that Alyssa’s win is undeserved or simply handed to her is just hater energy. I think they both performed beautifully in this season and would equally be deserving. Alyssa has demonstrated just how much she has blossomed as a queen and refined her talents. Nelly has shown amazing resilience and is such a sweetheart. No matter how you feel, these queens put their heart and soul into this and it showed. So I wish success for both of them ❤❤!
I would also like to add that I’m one of the few people who actually liked seeing the queens this season. Was this season my fave? No. But I don’t think it was as bad as everyone is complaining about and I would love to see more international queens get the opportunity in another season. I would have never known about Nelly, Gala, Vanity, etc. if it wasn’t for this season. Also many of the queens did not even have a chance at cash prizes in their own countries so I love that aspect too. ☺️

The judges have their opinions and so do the fans. I still think making it seem like she did nothing to achieve the win is insulting to her craft. I just think about how I would feel if I worked really hard for something and everyone keeps saying it was handed to me. Personally though, I’d love to see Nelly win bc of her growth but I won’t boycott the show or be super upset if Alyssa won either. 🤷🏽♀️
