I went there once, I only speak english , and it went just fine, all the stores that I visited, people spoke English to me. Even the street performer spoke English to me. The street signs are in French and English, so I guess it is fair to say that a visitor like myself would think that if people speak 2 languages, there might be 2 dominant peoples around. I'm from Indonesia, we have 137 languages. In cities with more than one language, you will find different groups of people on different parts of the cities. i don't mean to disagree, just trying to explain my point. peace.
