Hi everyone! Just an FYI, if you enjoyed this video and want to see another like this, please comment and let me know. Also give this video a like if you had not already. Stay beautiful my friends!! 😊
Thank you Angela for your inspiring meal ideas! It is wonderful to see how well others are doing on a primarily whole food plant based diet. I started eating this way in Jan. 2017 and have not only lost 85 pounds but solved other problems like terrible heartburn every night before going to bed, rosacea, adult acne, angina and constipation. I’m 69 years old and this way of eating has vastly improved my quality of life. I only wished I had learned of this way of eating many years ago. I could have saved all that money on monthly weight watchers meetings!
Our grand and great grandparents didn't have microwaves, some didn't even have electric ovens, but they grew and cooked their own veg....a lot healthier life!!
Love to see you eat plant-based. Ive been vegan for 15 years. Im 55 and am 5'8 and weigh 140 lbs. My weight pretty much stays the same. I love that you can eat so much more on plant based diet and not gain weight! Its all about calorie density! Love, love, love your videos!!!
Thank you Ellen! Once I gave up meat and most daily, I really never looked back. I never crave meat at all but I will eat a small amount of dairy in some baked goods....those are my downfall but otherwise, I really try to eat plant based! 😊👍🏻
@@desireeclegg794 I love a small steak occasionally. I eat a lot of salads too. I weigh 125 lbs. & have my whole adult life. Whatever works - but my cholesterol is low too.
I do intermittent fasting 16/8 and no alcohol or coffee. I sleep So much better after giving up coffee . I only drank it first thing in the morning but it still affected my sleep. I average 45 miles of waking every week.
Thanks Angela! I needed to see this. I have been advised to get back in the gym and get on the Mediterranean diet. It really helped to see what you do in a day.
I love that you eat so healthy and are meat free. I'm 73 and have not had meat for 52 years and am doing great health wise. 🤞 I think your diet and great mindset really helped your back to heal! XX
Angela- I’ve watched several of your videos, and I love them all! Now while I do feel there’s such a difference between us because I struggle with my weight. I still appreciate you sharing things that you’re eating being over 50!
Hi Angela! What a great video...would love to see you create more of these. It's so inspiring to see that the kind of healthy lifestyle you live is easily attainable. No kooky crazy exercise routines or weird diets...just simple daily habits that add up to big health benefits. I had to laugh when you were fixing Bentley's breakfast...he eats better than I do!! Thank you for sharing this with all of us. I will definately be adding the baked potato/sauteed veges into my regular meal rotation. Wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas and a blessed New Year.
Hi Angela, you inspire me so much. I would love to see some more "what I eat in a day"-video's. You make it so simple to eat healthy food with not so much effort.
Walking is such a great exercise recommendation. Provided you don't try to overdo it on the first day, you are not likely to injure yourself and you are gradually building up useful stamina. By that I mean the next time you have a day out with the family or are wandering all over a large airport, all that exercise will mean you won't be so worn down at the end of it.
I eat what I want - only I intermittent fast 19/5. I believe I have lost around 25 pounds from May to October. I am maintaining keeping the weight off - will remain on intermittent forever. I saw a video of a dr saying women have to fast 18-19 hours a day to lose weight. It works, but you have to be a disciplined person.
Good for you that what your are doing seems to be perfect for you! Everyone is different and that is why there are so many ways people have found to be healthy and still have it work for them
Thank you for putting together such a fun video, Angela! You're a natural! You've inspired me to make a few healthy changes to our meals. I really enjoy your videos!😊 Marietta
I love the salad topper from Costco with pumpkins seed, sunflower seeds, dried cranberries on my oatmeal, salad and yami yoghurt. Such a good crunch and filling.
Hi, Angela! I would love to see more what you eat videos probably almost as much as your fashion videos. 💕 You are just doing a great job with all your videos. Merry Christmas to you and your family! 🎄
You are living such a great healthy lifestyle! 12 yr WW lifetimer here and have found that you can’t be afraid of eating healthy fats! They do keep you satisfied! Loved seeing your meals and yes, always up for more recipes! Tried yoga for the first time a few weeks ago (gentle flow) and loved it! Although it was quite comical!😂😉 I’m very inflexible!!
Good for you for giving yoga a try Pam! When I first started, I realized how much flexibility I had lost after my back surgery and I could hardly do the folds. Now, I am way more flexible and I see how much that helps keep my minor pains way down! Congrats on your 12yrs of being a WW lifetime also!! 🥳🥳🥳
From one fellow vegan to another, great job. Love the potato idea. I love Violife shredded cheese. My daughter makes her own vegan cheeses. You could also sprinkle some nutritional yeast on top of the potato and veggies. Angela, have you tried making a mock tuna salad? Very easy. I use a can of chickpeas, salt, ground pepper, onion, a bit of relish, celery seeds, shredded carrots, and vegannaise. I mash the chickpeas, chop the onion, season, and add carrot shreds. 1tsp of relish and vegganise to your liking. I add to a 100 calorie bagel, top with lettuce and tomato. I can't live without sweets, so everyday, I have some dark chocolate. I do aerobics (mostly walking), dancing, and yoga about 5 days a week. Not long. 30-45 minutes. If I want something sweet, I eat it. If I deny myself, I'll eat everything in sight. I've not had meat since I was 17, and I'm 63 now. Thanks for the video. 💗💗💗
Rene, your mock tuna salad sounds yummy! I'm not a vegan/vegetarian, but I want to drastically cut down on my meat consumption and incorporate more plant based meals into my diet. I will definately give this a try...TFS!
@@kimswan2942 thank you so much. I hope you enjoy it. I even made it for my 11 month old grandson (I blended it for him, and didn't add onions), and he really enjoyed it. I hope you do too!😊
Hi Rene! That mock tuna salad sounds good! I make a chickpea salad but do not mash the chickpeas. I am going to try it your way also! Thanks for the awesome tip!!
@@angelamasson-fashionover50 you can doctor it up anyway you'd like. Chopped peppers, pickles, zucchini, etc. It's one of my staple lunches. Stick it in a sandwich or add to salad. Enjoy! 😊😋
Thanks for ur tips.. I’m 29.5 and I been healthy most of my life because my genetics and now I noticed o need to workout even more and watch what I eat more than 5 years ago.
I'm from South east Michigan also, I know that store! Just wanted to share a tip I learned about cooking bananas into oatmeal that are really creamy. Use really ripe, frozen bananas. They just break right down when you cook the oats. Blessings!
Angela, thanks so much for this video! My husband and I have been eating mostly vegan for many years (salmon once in a while, eggs rarely unless eating out). Oatmeal most mornings, and vegie soups for lunch, then a vegan/vegetarian dinner. I've really gotten to like all those faux meat products from Beyond Meat, even though some can be a bit fatty! Their meatballs especially are so delicious! ALSO -- the word is Espresso NOT 'EXpresso'. There is no 'X' . Thanks!!
LOVE this video! I have been plant based for a year now. 70 lbs down! I eat all the time and NEVER get hungry. I am definitely trying that cowboy caviar. Looks delish!
Wow, you could go grocery shopping for me and I could go for you. I guess I've been eating similar for years. I'm 74 years young. Keep it up and you'll be flying around when you're 74 too. My in laws moved to Lady Lake right by the villages years ago. I know exactly where that video was shot. You are a real joy to watch. so glad I found you. You have great tips for us older gals that we can sure use. I've been using pickles for my sweet tooth cravings for years. Sometimes I just cut up a bunch of cucumbers with vinegar and a little stevia.YUM Happy, Healthy Holidays to you!!
OMG! You could be my clone! I am a creature of habits. I walk 2-3.5 miles or ride my bike 5-8 miles most days of the week and I do resistance training 2-3 times a week. Oatmeal with blueberries, bananas, cinnamon, nuts, grd. flax for breakfast is pretty much daily. I was pescatarian for 30 years then switched to a whole food plant based lifestyle about two years ago. At the beginning of this year I totally eliminated fish, dairy, eggs and oil and I rarely eat processed foods. I just turned 66 earlier this month and I have to say I am probably the healthiest (and thinnest) I have been in 50 years! I have more energy than I have ever had in my life! My favorite UA-cam channels are Chef AJ as well as The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine. Favorite documentaries are Forks Over Knives and Game Changers.
Awesome! My husband and I are also whole food plant based vegan. Been doing it for 8 years now. It is the best thing we ever did! I love those channels too! Love chef AJ and PCRM! Saw Game Changers in theatres when it was released! Everyone should see Forks Over Knives! Both are on Netflix.
If u have teeth problems whole nuts or nut peices and any raw vegetables or hard too chew items are out for me because I can’t chew them. Instead I use nut butters , cooked vegetables which are easier to chew
I use steel cut original (not instant, which I’m told is better (not so processed) for us in the instant pot on the porridge setting. Takes maybe 15 minutes which is when I shower
Hi, cute video! I'm glad I'm not the only one (on my days off) who takes my time in the morning. I also make a lovely coffee and snuggle with the cat downstairs on the couch. This relaxation ritual helps me prepare for the day.
Great video! One healthy meal daily at 5 pm ,2 coffees in the morning from my Cuisinart or DeLonghi espresso maker.Fruit, nuts, yogurt, cheeses are our usual snacks.Keeps us healthy and fit.👍
Good for you!!! We also are vegan, Whole Foods/plant based..no oil! Congrats on your healthy lifestyle! We live at the beach, in Yucatan state, Mexico!
Thank you so much for sharing!! I love your breakfast but I also have a no sugar added blueberry almond crunch cereal that I get in double pack at Costco for when I don't want a hot breakfast. I start my day with cardio on my elliptical. I would walk 2 to 3 miles if I was in the Villages too! We have our lifestyle coming up soon so I'll try it. Can anyone with a guest pass go to yoga? How do you know when it's scheduled?
I LOVE popcorn! I grew up with at as my dad used to make it. I eventually bought him an air popper (and later one for myself) and I still think it makes great popcorn with no oil. But recently I've learned that it's easy to pop popcorn in the microwave, in a paper bag or bowl. And there are tasty things to add for taste, like a tiny bit of salt, salt-free seasoning, or even something sweet like artificial sweetener and cinnamon. Since I love pickles, too, they can be a salty (good Kosher dills) r sweet treat as well (sweet or bread & butter). And some veges do the trick as well - celery's a bit salty on its own.
Okay, if you think your oatmeal topping is weird how about mine. I don't like sweets (no sugar in my coffee, no sweet foods, I rarely eat desserts, etc.) but I like oatmeal. I cook it in chicken broth, then drizzle it with a teaspoon of olive oil, add some freshly ground black pepper, and sprinkle it with parmesan cheese. DELICIOUS!
We make steel cut oats every morning in our Instapot. We add a fruit in while cooking (bananas or raisins). We also add fresh fruit )blueberries or strawberries. Of course, after our coffee. (A low acid coffee). ✌️
Do you have any videos with your recipes listed? I enjoyed seeing the meals you made because they are quick & easy. My husband moved to Heaven in April 2022 , so now I cook just for me. I've never been much of a meat eater. Your vegan meal recipes would be appreciated. Thank you so much!
I am so sorry about your husbands passing Jan!! I put a video on the screen at the very end of this video that gives more healthy eating options. Click on that and I will take a look at making another video like this as well for the end of Dec if I get enough people who seem interested 😊👍🏻
Really enjoyed the video.. I usually just use some different veg's tho. Sometimes i just put a tbl of jar salsa on my potatoe instead of butter and its delicious. I also ad chia seeds to my oatmeal for protein. Keep it up!
this is a wonderful video. I could cook once and eat the same dinner all week! will your husband eat what you cooked multiple times? Mine will eat for dinner and then take for lunch the next day..🤦🏼♀️ i’m definitely interested in more meal ideas!! what are your other options that you rotate?
I really liked your suggestions. I’m now just one and haven’t had desire or ideas as to eat or make meals. You’ve given me a lot of healthy ideas. Thank you
Hello Angela, thanks for sharing how you stay healthy. This has come at a great time for me and will help me get it together. I would love if you would have the time to do another one between Christmas and New Years. Thanks for sharing.
Looks like you might live in NW Florida? I lived in Destin & Pensacola for 40 yrs and really miss the beautiful Live Oaks (but not the rain and storms!) Your video was encouraging...I used to ride my bike 10 miles/day alternating w long walks. I have eating a Whole Food Plant Based Diet for over 10 yrs. I try to avoid packaged and canned food due to excess salt n sugar. I have done Yoga since I was 17 and living on the West Coast. I just turned 71 and still practice Yoga/Meditation daily. I have little arthritis and remain very flexible. I subscribed and will be watching more of your videos...Thx!
Hi Victoria and welcome!! 🤗 We have a home about an hour northwest of Orlando in the Villages. Wow, good for you that you have done yoga all those years!! 🥳👍🏻
Just found you and love your videos. I also eat plant based and my family still eats meat/dairy…although we do have meatless dishes a few times per week. Would love more videos on plant based meal ideas.
I made a similar set of changes about five years ago. I do eat meat occasionally, but mostly it's fruits, grains, nuts, veggies and healthy dairy like hard cheeses and yogurt. One of my best discoveries was the one you found - proper portion control. If the chip bag ('cuz I like potato chips, too) says that one serving is 14 chips, I try to eat just that amount, in its own dish, with the main bag reclosed and put back into the pantry. My favorite TV snack is actually fresh-cut veggies and hummus - I get the spicy variety because the spicy heat helps curb my appetite, and even using portion control I have plenty for dipping my saucer of carrots, bell pepper strips, radishes and cuke slices into! Oh, and hey - I use plain yogurt on my baked potatoes instead of sour cream. It's way healthier, and with black pepper (I almost never use salt on anything) it tastes perfect. Plain yogurt is also great on vegetarian tacos. Oh, and if you go out to eat? Set aside the amount of food you will eat (usually that's a third or a fourth of the plate - depends on how generous their portions are) and eat only that, then ask for a to-go box. When you get home, immediately divide the leftovers into separate containers. Or, if you and your hubby like the same kind of food, order one entree to go and share when you get home! Like I said, I mainly cut out the salt...but I really ramped up on the potassium. (Doing both can really get your cholesterol numbers into balance!) Potatoes and beans you know about, but there's also lentils, avocado, bananas, berries (frozen are fine), and eggs. If you feel bad about "eating baby chicks," remember that hens lay eggs whether or not there's a rooster on the premises, and eggs are also rich in protein and good cholesterol (but in moderation, of course - one or two a day). Of course, I exercise. I walk everywhere I go, and I also do resistance training. I maybe weigh three or four pounds over my recommended BMI, but my BP and cholesterol numbers were in great shape last time I got a check-up, so I think that's pretty darn good.
Loved this! For those who don't have a microwave, night before u can toast 1/4 c. steel cut oats in tsp coconut oil in small saucepan, add 1 c.water bit of salt and boil for one minut. turn it off and it sits overnight. I put in whatever dried fruit I like and the whole thing just sits overnight. Perfect next a.m. very low effort, lots of yum!
You are just the cutest!! I have just "found" you and have been enjoying your video's. Yes, watching "what I eat in a day" is very helpful as we all get bogged down trying to make it more complicated than it should be!!! I live here in FL too, in a small town, Dunnellon and it is fun seeing you enjoy the Villages....Merry Christmas to you and yours, and thanks for taking us along for the day!!🎄❤
Welcome Fredrica! That is what I think too, just try to keep it simple and make better choices more than we make the bad...Lol. Loving this weather down here in FL and not missing the cold and snow up north!!
Great ideas - a lot of what we do too! It's a little more difficult just because we still have a young teenaged son at home, so we have to cater to his tastes as well... The cowboy caviar is something I do too, but we don't call it that, and I always make it with quinoa. Such a great source of all the good things with a little protein kick from the quinoa :) A little fresh lemon squeezed on top.. YUM!!
Hi Angela, thanks for sharing what you eat with us. I especially liked the sweet pickle idea to curb sugar cravings. I will definitely be doing this! Nancy from Northern California

And some veges do the trick as well - celery's a bit salty on its own.
thank you very much ! good to see you and thanks for great tips as usual Angela xx
DELICIOUS!
Love this clip. Thank you for inspiring me!
You are my kind of girl!! Love your routine and simple, tasty, easily accessible ingredients.
Thank you Carol! 😊
We make steel cut oats every morning in our Instapot. We add a fruit in while cooking (bananas or raisins). We also add fresh fruit )blueberries or strawberries. Of course, after our coffee. (A low acid coffee). ✌️
Your oatmeal sounds good to Lorena! 👍🏻
You eat exactly like I do, and I love to walk every day! New subscriber, great channel Angela!

Thank you Bonnie! You too!
Yes please! Show more of what you eat in a day.
Love watching you. The baked potatoes n veggies looked so good.
You shared that you walk and yoga and any activities?
Do you have any videos with your recipes listed? I enjoyed seeing the meals you made because they are quick & easy. My husband moved to Heaven in April 2022 , so now I cook just for me. I've never been much of a meat eater. Your vegan meal recipes would be appreciated. Thank you so much!
I am so sorry about your husbands passing Jan!! I put a video on the screen at the very end of this video that gives more healthy eating options. Click on that and I will take a look at making another video like this as well for the end of Dec if I get enough people who seem interested 😊👍🏻
I just found you thru Jerry and Linda! Love the meat free options!
I love that you make food for Bentley!! I’be made my our dog food for years!! So much better for them.

Hi Angela, I loved this video, please do another one soon. I'm definitely going to try the meals you made.
Love this video!! Can you give us some more recipes and a cookbook you use ? Maybe more items you buy on your shopping list ?! Thank you !!
Great video, so motivating, would love more recipes and what you eat for snacks and salads. Thank you!
Sweet Bentley... So cute💗
I love the atmosphere of the village. I would love to see anything you post🎄🎄
Really enjoyed the video.. I usually just use some different veg's tho. Sometimes i just put a tbl of jar salsa on my potatoe instead of butter and its delicious. I also ad chia seeds to my oatmeal for protein. Keep it up!
I used the link looking for the Espresso machine and a hair dryer/ styling tool came up
Hi Jen! Click the hair styler tool and it will open up all of my favorite products and you will see the expresso machine right in the top row 😊👍🏻
Your skin looks gorgeous!! Would you please do a skincare and makeup video. Thank you so much!!
this is a wonderful video.
Great Ideas! Yes, I would love to see more.
Looks like you might live in NW Florida? I lived in Destin & Pensacola for 40 yrs and really miss the beautiful Live Oaks (but not the rain and storms!)
Your video was encouraging...I used to ride my bike 10 miles/day alternating w long walks.
I love almond milk did you ever taste the chocolate almond milk or the coconut almond are both really good
I made a similar set of changes about five years ago.
I loved this video Angela!! You gave us such helpful and healthy ideas! I would love to see more videos like this from you! 😘🤗
Loved this video. Please do more. Gives ideas of things to eat. thanks.
Loved this video!! Yessss please more of what you eat!! Thank you for doing this, helps me!!
Yes, please!! Loved the food, lifestyle, and exercise ideas. Inspiring!!!🫐
I enjoyed this video, and I kept looking at your skin. It is beautiful! That cowboy caviar looks delicious.
Thank you Terri! 😊
Great tip!! 😊👍🏻
Thank you for giving me a good start. Easy healthy meals
YUM!!
Love these recipes going to try all. My BFF mom lived in The Villages many years..love the shops there 🥰
Hi Angela, thanks for sharing what you eat with us. I especially liked the sweet pickle idea to curb sugar cravings. I will definitely be doing this! Nancy from Northern California
I got so inspired, I’ll try from Tommm can plz plz vlog for the entire week routine
Just discovered your channel and love your videos! I’m new at plant based. With all the talk about protein, do you worry about not getting enough as we age? Thanks so much!!
