For the people working in blender 2.9+ to add volumetrics to the scene with the scaled-up cube 7:59 you have to put the emission strength to 0 on the principled volume node 👍, thanxs to Ankit Sethi.

You can make cool abstract render from it. 2) plug the fac output of any texture to the color ramp as this will give you more accuracy cause it's black and white. If you use color output to color ramp input it'll be lil bit less accurate. Doesn't effect that much thou. #notification_squad❤.

For 2.8 users and on I'll try to offer a fix for the floor texture. I suggest setting up a 'Colorramp' for both the (Height) and (Normal) on the [Bump node]. Run the 'Colorramps' Fac. To a 'Musgrave Texture node' Fac. This will give the Puddle effect. If you follow along and connect the noise texture to the Height [Bump] it will 'Pixelate' the floor texture. GL and happy blending!
Great tutorial, well done! Coming from LightWave to Blender your tutorials are very helpful. Also was stuck on light settings thank you everyone for the comments easy fix.
Is this tutorial outdated? I'm only 5 minutes in and the lighting looks totally different and I've read through all the comments and even set every parameter exactly the same as the video. I notice the nodes are different now, for example I can't connect the voronoi texture to the musgrave texture via color because the musgrave node doesn't have it
Try adjusting the size of your entire scene. Scale it up or down. The lights remain relative so you’ll notice the smaller your scene the more intense the light is
