Take some Tennyson, add some Bent, mix in a bit of AFX, a dash of Tom Middleton, a smidge of portishead, and a healing cup of Red means Recording and you have the always talented Jeremy Blake. Amazing stuff Jeremy, thank you for the music you bring into the world.
I do a thing on deluge live where I resample an outtro from the end of a track and then have it loaded and running on the next track I load, allowing cross fading between tracks and a continuous set. But it does need to be set up.
Or run it into something like a Kaoss pad. Sample your outro while cueing up your next tune. You can manipulate it in real time and have it fade out. Kaoss pad should be on everyone’s master bus for live performance. It’s so flexible.
Just received a Deluge as a gift from a friend. This video is very inspiring. And here I thought your OP-1 stuff was good! Really impressive composition, arrangement, and masterful live performance. Hælo is a an absolute banger.
Dude, "Wander" made me nostalgic as fuck. I listened to Pretty Lights on repeat for most of the late 2000's and this song brought all of that smooth lofi breakbeat from those original releases right back to the front of the brain pan. I love this dude, you nailed it!
I’ve just gotten more work done today than I have in the last two months, and I believe that this lil mix gave a lot to that. Need more, Jeremy, but no rush man
I hear some cypress hill here. Off the temples of boom album. I forget the song. Tell me I'm wrong haha song intro @ 9:18 cypress hill song is illusions
DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE, I fucking love Hælo! Probably one of my favorite OP-1 vids to rewatch. I was so stoked to hear you perform it. I love it. I love your music. Have a fantastic day.
Google sheets on a tablet with color coded reference for the different clips? Brilliant! I love watching you perform with the Deluge. Great music, and very inspirational. Thanks so much for sharing this.
I'm working on a very frustrating project right now, one that I have given up on before, and suddenly 45 minutes have gone by and its working and I don't feel angry...this is pretty magic stuff.
Man ! That's huge stuff ! So convincing from A to Z. What a brillant setup and what a brillant way of performing it. I think I have my new mix for my romantics nights ;)
Oh man this is absolutely awesome. I should've tuned in, an excellent thing to listen to (and watch, always adore the filming style you employ) while locked up. Keep up the amazing work!!
This is such a great performance!! I come back to this one all the time when I need some deluge inspiration. I love what you did with excel to put this together, great stuff!!
Good job on your Lo-fi! However, your electronic music, you more traditionaly make, is top of it's class and I want to encourage you to make it whenever possible! Always looking forward to your work.
Oh ya, that Twilight Zone sample is great. Had to replay right after listening through the first time. My deluge is shipping out the 19th and its fun to see all the different styles and all the different creative ways they are used.
Hi, first of all; amazing work you do. Thanks for the input you gave me so far. Do you have any video of how to build sub bass lines with the Deluge like you got for instance in "Wander". Or are those samples?
woaaa, it ended before I knew it : Suddenly, silence... ho wow ! that was good ! replay ! more ! moar ! also, nice synth, first time I hear about this one

awesome set! thx for putting up timecodes!
@@7177YT It seems to even have visually separated them out when you hover over the timeline - that's quite neat! Never seen that before on YouTubr
Oh my, already gorgeous and it's not even a minute in

@@RedMeansRecording love what u did with em, sounds real ethereal
i'm not even trying to internalize what i've just witnessed in this thread
This is the best lofi Ive ever heard. So rythmical, So moving; This is chill electronic music at its finest
Word to that!
This whole set is insane. How.
Damn man this is really good. By far one of the best Deluge performances I've heard.
I do a thing on deluge live where I resample an outtro from the end of a track and then have it loaded and running on the next track I load, allowing cross fading between tracks and a continuous set. But it does need to be set up.
That's smart!
tried doing this on the SP-404A with the digitakt, but the amazing sequencer on the SP didnt want to help with perfect loops lol was almost there...
damn, that's a great idea. Going to start doing this.
Or run it into something like a Kaoss pad. Sample your outro while cueing up your next tune. You can manipulate it in real time and have it fade out. Kaoss pad should be on everyone’s master bus for live performance. It’s so flexible.
Glad you are using your deluge again. Your videos are reason I bought one :)
sad that i missed it, thanks for uploading the set here!

Listening to track 3, such a tune. Serious the drop. Loving it! Cool how the timeline is set up like this 😎

Truly fantastic use of the Deluge! I love your focus on performance.

Yeh that tune is amazing. Not that the others aren't but it hits hard like some old school moby
listening to this over and over again, especially the 3rd track
Had the pleasure to watch live, thks for uploading it. Truly beautiful
hælo is my absolute favorite song from you. Jesus Christ I’ll never grow old of it.

This is lovely and is such a great way to perform live with a deluge ♥️

I'm so late to catching up on this set after being unable to see the actual performance, but this is absolutely lovely.
Might have this as my work soundtrack now! Incredible work on this.

thanks jeremy, you're the best
"Wander" sounds like it might be sampling the Fantastic Planet soundtrack, which I need to do myself ASAP!
Hey there! Hello from Germany! Love your videos!
Awesome concert! It was a great listen!
Hi, first of all; amazing work you do. Thanks for the input you gave me so far. Do you have any video of how to build sub bass lines with the Deluge like you got for instance in "Wander". Or are those samples?
Those are samples. But sub bass is about sine wave sub oscillator or using a sub sample layer.
@@RedMeansRecording Thank you very much!

Very nice live, good job 😊👍
Loved the set but in the Deluge, dont you have a way to mix between projects without stopping the sound ?
No, not really.
@@RedMeansRecording Loved the way you used the Heat as a compressor , did not know that one !
