I think CDPR got caught with their zipper open from male v not being part of the collab. People were feeling like Male V was getting phased out for female V marketing, and it was alright until Male V fans are not able to get him in the collab. And it’s not like only males like Male V. Male V fans are LOYAL
It is crazy for male v players, even for mods on Cyberpunk 2077 for pc, most are just for female v, a lot more focus seems to be on Female V. I don't play Fortnite, but it is a bit ridiculous to only include one, bad enough we don't have more Male V mods.
Doesn't help the fact that the romance option for Male V and Judy was taken down on Nexusmods, but the romance option for Female V and Panam mod is perfectly okay.. really goes to show the type of agenda being pushed.
@@Accuaro Hmhm even the Cyberpunk subreddit had the pride flag in their profile picture for a while... We really can't escape em no matter where we go lmao💀
@@Accuaro It’s definitely ridiculous but have it noted that these people are the minority. Most people played as male v and most of them romanced panam.
From research I did before starting my first playthrough, (despite male v being in most of the trailers) people found female v voice acting to be better and popularity shifted towards her, so they put her in more of the phantom liberty trailers as well as the Fortnite promotion
the percent of people that romanced Panam is not conclusive evidence on which V most players use. we don't know if it is counting by each copy of cyberpunk (someone that romanced all characters through 2 saves would still count towards romancing panam vs someone that either didn't romance anyone or just did the female V romances, so there may be more people who romanced just panam or romanced both panam and Judy than players that just romanced judy or nobody else ) and we don't know if it counts modded versions of cyberpunk
Where is male V ? If you really want to go down this rabbit hole, I'll tell you... Some time ago Forbes made an article about CDPR's Tweet that 67,3% of players chose to romance Panam, which not only means that at least 67,3% of players chose to play as male V, but even chose to romance Panam in the first place, you can romance Kerry or don't have to romance anyone at all, so more likely at least 75% of players chose to play as male V when the game launched... Some male V haters on Twitter said that "female V was more popular" which was the reason male V wasn't added into Fortnite. How is female V *allegedly* more popular than male V ? How exactly is 25% more than 75% ? When you look at all of the Cyberpunk 2077 promo from 2018 to even 2023 before promo for Phantom Liberty started rolling out, all of it was male V, the trailers, the posters, gameplay footage, almost all of it, the only time I can recall CDPR using female V was the first showcase of gameplay, some of the later gameplay footage and that they replaced male V with female V on an alternate cover art for the physical game. After the trailer for Phantom Liberty got revealed, they didn't even make an alternate cover art with male V, and I don't recall them using male V a lot in the gameplay footage, they've basically only *used him* to show Panam's new romance options when update 2.1 released and in the update 2.2 stream CDPR only showed male V when showcasing the randomizer option, didn't even bother to show new customization options for male V. The Ultimate Edition trailer for the game which released 4 weeks ago doesn't feature male V *AT ALL* the trailer only features female V, both appearance and voiceover wise. Now when you look at all Cyberpunk social media they ONLY use female V, even on all digital stores where Cyberpunk 2077 is sold, it's only female V. At first I thought they were just trying to push for female V to get more attention since she wasn't in a lot of the promo material for the game and I totally understood it, but after a while I've realized they've clearly been slowly but surely transitioning from male V to female V being the canon. Fans have been asking CDPR about this but obviously they've been ignoring it and they're not even trying to hide it when the Ultimate Edition trailer doesn't feature male V at all. At The Game Awards 2024 CDPR showed a teaser of The Witcher IV which features Ciri as the main character and people called CDPR woke for having Ciri as the main character and I've been on CDPR's side cause even though I haven't played The Witcher III, I've seen gameplay of the game and some parts of the game were about Geralt training Ciri for her to take the mantle so it was totally unreasonable to think that The Witcher IV is woke but only then I started to do more research and realized that male V has been left out of any Cyberpunk 2077 promo for a while and that the way CDPR has been treating male V was at least questionable, so I went into this rabbit hole, and only after the Fortnite x Cyberpunk 2077 it came clear to me that CDPR went woke and I hate to admit it because I hate this word so much because it has been overused and misused lot. There really is no other explanation for this, male V was clearly the canon for the game for years but only after the game released they've been abandoning him for a long time, basically ever since to make female V the canon. So while I don't think The Witcher IV is woke I think that CDPR is... And before you come at me for being sexist, I want both V's to have the spotlight, they should both be canon because if they're not, then there really is no reason for the game to have you pick a gender in the first place. I've literally fought woke sexist discriminating braindead people on Twitter who were like: "thank god we only got female V, female V is canon, more people play female V, male V voice sucks, male V perfomance sucks, male V looks like an NPC" like... female V is literally a textbook example of what a lesbian looks like, how does he look like the NPC ? What pisses me the most apart from the clear DEI are people who are so disrespectful to Gavin Drea, his perfomance is great, before I started my game, I've looked at both perfomances and I thought that male V just felt more natural and more badass. Insane amount of copium incoming: I still bought all of the collab items to show that people are interested in this collab and want more Cyberpunk collabs in the future, that's me being hopeful that they add male V and Panam or Jackie even though I know there's a bigger chance of them adding Panam and Judy than ever acknowledging male V exists. They could've done a way better job of executing this collab, and I'm not just talking about them not featuring male V, but the wheels on the Quadra are absolutely ridiculous and the fact that this went through so many people and still got put into the game unchanged is absurd (they are perfectly fine on the collab trailer so idk wtf they're doing), the Night City Lights wrap is lazy, if I saw this without knowing it's from the Cyberpunk bundle I wouldn't even know (I think making the wrap look like the relic or just some cyberware would be way better and fitting), the lack of Samurai songs is embarassing, why would you put Johnny's guitar into the game when you can't even play the Samurai songs to begin with ?
Yea I'm aware of all this, and you made some fair points! That's why I did the video, it just needed to be asked. I think in this fortnite situation it's clearly fair to ask for male V. It's the holiday season, so I hope to see a response about this after. I haven't been checking right now, I also didn't think this video would get this much attention!
Mills tweet also kinda rubbed me the wrong way, especially with the "dusting off his Twitter". Like I would get just saying "oh we wanted it to be equal with male and female" and that would be fine to just say but, then kinda complaining with the "dusting off my Twitter" like yes some people and could be a lot would prefer the male variant over the female variant and wonder what's happening, don't go saying "you guys are annoying for making me tweet this" like they're the problem, it's not just unnecessary but just to show that he either doesn't realize or just doesn't care about the players that care about the game that use the male V. Imo: I feel like adding a rpg character(with male or female customization) no gender should be canon, that would be up to the player. I see a lot of people saying female v fits more, while I also see a lot of male v fits more. So by saying it's up to the player to decide will make the fans as happy.
I really like female V’s design for fortnite but it does get annoying seeing the nonstop hype specifically for her with all the recent marketing and everything, coming from this being my favorite game and me having a close bond to the canon male version. Really see no reason why there couldn’t have been alternate styles
Hold your horses pal. If rpg games only having one gender as it's face for marketing was sexist. Almost all of them would be labeled sexist towards women. So chillax don't pull the discrimination card now.
I feel like this is intentional on CDPR's part of them consistently excluding Male V from more and more of the promotional materials. I don't like waiving the "Its DEI" flag around but this is exactly what it feels because at launch, there were equal promotions of both male and female V but now its ONLY female V which is annoying for those who like to play as male V
eh not really, at the very first launch of game male V was much more featured, from metro trailer to everything else like posters and stuff as well as promo gameplay, male V was THE face of original cyberpunk there was little bit of fem V too but not nearly as much so now when they fixed their issues and decided to release updates and new DLC they swapped to it being female V as main face i think its fair, they're both getting their spotlight maybe im not that bothered becuse my V is a female but i really don't like the DEI flag waving either and don't think this is the case of DEI at all also a lot of players including myself feel like female V has better voice so if you're gonna put trailers and stuff you'll want a better voice but i honestly think the reason is becuse male V was everywhere at the games very first launch so now they're giving fem V some spotlight.
I’m sorry with all due respect to Female V and her voice actor, I didn’t like her. I loved Male V, tough on the outside but when he finally breaks down you see his true self. It was also revealed a while ago that the majority played as Male V so it’s so weird how they focus on the minority of players. But this isn’t uncommon now especially with the female Shepard in mass effect getting all the spotlight when once again most players played as male Shepard.
Oh, I can answer that: It's the same reason why female V on phantom liberty postcard: CDPR went full DEI and "Male V" is not progressive enough for them.
Hey arent most user created mods for the female version? If the numbers say most people play as female and the literal modding community itself is ignoring the male gender… Then no DEI did this, you did.
@@markedone494 i think is modding community ignoring the male gender because in most you can create whatever you want with you male V. Exept some specific moments. But for female V most chothes, hairstyle etc. look odd, And i dont talking about something like micronano bikini. For example i looking for round glasses for my female V. And game doesnt have that.
Dude, chill out. It's been clear since CDPR released that gameplay demo way back in 2018 that female V was seen as their "canon" choice. It's no different from how you mainly see male characters for the promotional art for games like Fallout 4 or Skyrim. You guys will cry woke and DEI over the dumbest of things.
Dude's reaching and really judged books by their cover, if anything Phantom Liberty itself is just good Almost like you haven't played Phantom Liberty at all, we literally have Solomon Reed which is one of "literally me" type dude, and don't forget Kurt Hansen, that dude is straight up hardcore, even so that we got whole mission playing as him, then we got So Mi which depicted as backstabbing friend, isn't this familiar? they said that boys circle doesn't care as long you breathe same air, and then girls circle where they talk behind your backs.....
I'm glad this is getting alot more attention, i've been looking around recently and it's actually such a blatant thing they're doing but no one is talking about it
To be fair CDPR showcased a female V in early E3 trailers while Jackie was a default companion. Then switch to male V with Keanu Reeves introduction on E3. Half way both male and female V are featured. Then CDPR fully committed to ESG black rock money and goes back to female V. CDPR is dead, they just panders to feminists and DEI woke cult. The writers are DEI aligned, so I rather trust a clunky 737 max than CDPR.
It’s obvious, male v is associated with the original release of cyberpunk, female v is associated with phantom liberty and updated 2.0… male v is hidden and will never be seen in any promo material ever again lol
Thing is Male V was the more prominent in the initial promotion and then as the game became more popular female V took more leading focus in promotion (especially in the phantom liberty promotion)
I'm ok with that, because it's an RPG with 2 to choose from. Mass effect does it too. Maybe moving forward companies should have both maybe interacting with each other? That'd be cool
male v is clearly cannon V so its just dissapointing imo. i get having female V included, but not having male V is like not putting courier-6 in ranger armour on the box art.
What does this even mean? They're both canon, it's an RPG. They even both have their own covers. And honestly I think Female V is the more popular of the two, I see Male V a lot less.
@@SuzukiBalls you only see female V recently, and by the fanbase. early promotional material, cinematic trailers, story trailers, hell, the exclusive backrounds and bonus content you get all feature male V in the iconic cover shot pose. the story trailer with jackie was male V. the only thing female V had before the ultimate edition and PL expansion was the very early test demo. what i mean by male V is "cannon" is that when cyberpunk 2 comes out, or when the next TTRPG comes out, itll likley be Male V who is canonized into lore. it isnt like fallout where the games change cities or dont need to reference each other, V, his actions and his general appearance including atleast the gender will all need to be canonized. and itll likely look like male V from the 2077 cinematic trailer where jackie dies. sorry that was so long winded, had to explain the logic here. i have nothing against female V, shes cool, but as someone who was hype about this game as a kid, played it on launch thru phantom liberty, everything was male V oriented until ultimate edition, is what i mean.
@@ButchersBoxingShop (Spoilers) V dies in pretty much every ending, the chances of them continuing with the same protagonist is so extremely unlikely and even if it does happen, there's literally no difference in the male/female V story so neither can be canon, they're just V. Yea they might use male V in promo for the next game but...doesn't make it canon. I'm not exactly sure what you mean when you say the game is male V oriented, I guess female V isn't super feminine but that's not really relevant, V's character is basically a hardass both ways. Have you actually done a playthrough female V before? I feel you imagine they're more different than they actually are.
The truth is; They could GreenScreen "Gavin Drea's" Face & look exactly like from the Trailer , (Although they switched plans from not doing it for somewhat reason) - The crew never rlly pictured the Male V Trailer because it might take awhile to develop Male V Trailer - They just left the game like garbage without having an actual Protagonists Face from the Cinematic Trailer except Female V
it sucks bc i don’t want to buy just female v but if this doesn’t do well it’s less likely we’ll get a second collab with male v and other skins. was willing to pay up to 1800 for the skin with both but here we are
Even in the new cyberpunk board game set we got both Vincent and Valerie, I think this comes just to the more "marketable" option rather than "I think valerie is more canon"
I just hope CDPR doesn't do something stupid and try to make female V the canon V in the sequel. Say what you will about modern BioWare at least they had the decency to keep both male and female Shepard canon when they rerelease the original trilogy.
From the dlc on the marketing is way more focused on female V while the prerelease marketing mostly included male V. Just look at the cover arts of the game and the dlc. They also just released the ultimate edition trailer a few days ago where they only included female V. They even took the same look as the female V from the trailer. It makes sense to market that V and take Johnny aswell. Kinda sad there isnt a male V but I'll take either.
Female V was the better voice actor in the game and most people prefer her because had the better emotional range. Male V was muted in comparison. She just took off more due to fan favortism. The people saying it DEI probably never played cyberpunk to even know this detail. They just yapping.
They NEED to add a male V. A male V, panam and Adam smasher pack would be awesome. And if they wanted to include more they could add johnnys car to the game too
I like how when cyberpunk first came out make V was the poster child and then at some point they completely forsook him in favor of female V out of the blue. But it’s cool I just see it as Male V doesn’t like working with corporations 😂
Im not suprised they have been queitly removing male V from the promotional material and cover art, heck CD project red has no problem changing established lore to push a certain message in Ciri becoming a witcher. Its not hard to put two and two together
The only explanation is CDPR wants to put forth an image that matches their progressive predilections as a company so they’ve shifted to femV as the postergirl. Neither is canon and if someone says either is they’re baiting. It’s not fair to the fans that prefer male V that all promotional and collaborative material going forward only showcases one V.
I assume it’s an “Eivor” situation, where the female version of Eivor is the one considered canon in the Assassin’s creed universe, and for this reason Fortnite only added female Eivor. So probably the “canon” version of V is the female one
Female V was chosen because Johnny Silverhand (Keanu Reeves) was always going to be the more marketable option, and Rogue from CP2077 - the true waifu - is an old woman (eww, gross). Also - I don't think the Fortnite kids have caught on that YOU CAN"T MAKE ENDLESS, PERFECT UPDATES TO A SINGLE ONLINE GAME FOREVER...These tie-ins and deals are time consuming for the development team and cost a lot of money to get you to want to shell out more. I'm surprised they even included Female V, honestly.
I feel CDPR has always kinda preferred female V, that was very apparent in the promotional materials leading up to the game and other stuff too. I think her VAs better too imo. Still weird they didn’t make it a second style tho
@@holmboy Yeah, but now you can't have male V in fortnite. Therefore we need to cry like some hoes. Even tho 99% of people on twitter genuinely are only doing this to be performative. None of these people actually give a fuck about this shit lol.
l legit don't get were people say female V is better at all they both have their ups and down i like male V because i think he best capture V's hopelessness and don't say u like her cause of her VC we all know the real reason
Out of all the skins in that bundle, I'm basically gonna use Johnny and just Johnny. Keanu is great in pretty much everything, except for things like Constantine, though people still enjoy those movies. They definitely should add a male V skin.
Male V is the goat for me I like fem V don’t get me wrong but male V is what got me into the cyberpunk universe seeing that E3 2019 trailer, I’ve played a lot of female V Great actress and performance but male V is the embodiment of V period, whenever cdpr decides to make V canon it’s definitely going to be fem v cause the credits to phantom liberty only show female v regardless of playing male…
Its whatever but they very clearly couldve made a male V. Theres a skin where this guy puts vr goggles and becomes a girl. I can't remember the name but I have the skin.
!!! CONSPIRACY THEORY !!! The new patch for cyberpunk had new cyberwear in character creator One was light blue and pink Fortnite collab had a cyberpunk camo that didn’t really look cyberpunk like It was light blue and pink Cdpr updated female Vs look throughout the years and made her look masculine and ugly The trans flag is light blue and pink 🏳️⚧️ This might’ve been caused by the woke mob They new male V would sell more
@@ControllerLyfe I already knew that. That's why I said most players might romance nobody but play as Valerie. That would explain the dev with all the stats we don't get to see catering to Valerie players despite a male V only character being the post popular romance. Edit: why would I have even made that comment if i didn't know Panam was most popular? That's obviously the premise I was nullifying.
@@thebadwolf3088 We don't know that. They only revealed the romance stats. The modded game doesn't even get included, right? So the stats are missing everyone who may have used mods to romance a character meant for the other gender
Whats funny is that if they remove the woke locks on the romance you would see lots of Male V players romance Judy since they have voicelines for a romance between Male V and Judy
Yeah i am really sad about this, i know they said "male V was marketed early on and they switch to fem V now" but CMON bro! Why do they have to completely shit on Male V now and basically forget about him even tho he should be exactly as important, both genders should have the same importance since it's an RPG, i never really liked Fem V because i didn't like her Voice (yes a lot of people glaze the va but i disagree), i thought she sounds like she tries to hard and it's kinda cringy and unnatural to me, i thought male V sound waay more natural, plus his friendship with Jackie and Johnny seems more natural and believable too
I feel like a lot of people weren't around for the Mass Effect days when Fem Shep became as popular and eventually more popular and then finally the default character over Male Shep. Largely due to the fact the voice over work was just DRASTICALY better with Fem Shep. I think that's the case here. The other thing is the default looks. Fem V just looks cooler. Male V looks like insert male lead form any game in the mid 2010's. Like seriously there was an old pic of every shaved head white male character and fans were getting bored of it. It was the "Killmonger locs" for white leads. To double back on the Fem Shep thing the ME team went as far as to completely redesign base Fem Shep for ME2 and 3. Taking away the bland blonde her and giving her a new red hair style. Giving her look more originality when compared to her male counter part. You add these two things and all the edits done on tik tok and youtube of Fem V and you see why CDPR went with Fem V as the face of the franchise.
Honestly, I actually prefer Female V character design, Male V is cool and all but he kinda just looks like a "guy" (Which makes sense since you're supossed to make your own character) and honestly I don't know if there is any shady reason for the female V being the focus for a while (Other than her being almost non-existent in the first trailers and promo material for the base game)
I don't think they're pushing female V at the expense of male V, I think it's largely because the majority of the Cyberpunk community just prefers female V. Maybe it didn't start that way but it sure became that way. That's why all the latest trailers of any Cyberpunk content future fem V. I don't know why she became more popular, but I'm guessing part of the reason is the amazing and IMO better voice acting and line delivery by fem V's voice actress as well as the huge modding community overwhelmingly making more mods for fem V. Most of the streamers that play the game also pick fem V. A similar thing happened with the Mass Effect trilogy where it started with male Sheppard being the "default" but over time players just grew to like female Shepard considerably more (Jennifer Hale's exceptional voice acting made it easy to prefer female Shepard). I don't think it has anything to do with DEI even though the company is infested with is now, but some versions of certain characters are just more well-liked than their opposite gender counterpart and companies take notice of that and market accordingly.
There is a status check reveal by CDPR back in 2021 that 67% of players romanced Panam meaning they played as male V so that more people pick female V is not true .
@@duykhanhcloud6866 Yes, of course, because the majority of gamers are male, so it's easier to identify with a male character. But if you look around in community forums female V is overall the fan favorite. Also, in 2021 female V wasn't as popular as she is now. A lot of people also do multiple playthroughs of the game and they usually play male V first and then want to re-experience the game with female V.
@starsiren9592 still dont change the fact that the Cyberpunk fanbase are mostly male and male V is the most pick just like Mass Effect Male Shepard is still the most pick no matter how popular female Shepard gotten so at the end of the day if the fanbase have to choose which gender they stick with im sure 100% of them gonna pick male V cuz most of the fanbase are male no hell most of gamer are male female is just a small fanbase in the gaming world so if these game devs want to get money they better treat the male character in games better.
I played on day one on PC too, and I was one of the lucky ones that were able to play it well and experienced no jarring bugs. However, it can't be denied that the game launched horribly on old gen consoles and while it released on a 70%+ Mostly Positive reviews on Steam and maintained that until it became Very Positive, the conversation in the gaming community at that time were just drowned out by negative comments about the game. My experience was real, and I did enjoy the game, however, I'd get dogpiled on whenever I'd say even a little bit of positive towards to the game. The point is, the image of Male V has been meme'd to oblivion because of the launch. If I had to guess, that's why starting from 2.0 and Phantom Liberty, the promotional materials for CP77 have always featured Female V. They wanted a fresh start away from all that. Sucks for Male V fans though. I prefer female V, but contrary to what others said, I think Male V's voice acting was also good.
I am more angry that they even collabed with fortnite and yes i think fortnite sucks and its horrible videogame and i do not care if this collab “helps people discover new games” cus it wont because they do collabs just so they can get most people of different fandoms of games, its just for the money besides its disrespecting games by putting it in the same game that stupid little brainrotted kids play that does collab with a fricking skibidi toilet and it shows that companies that collab with fortnite dont care about fans but just about money, games are art and fortnite isnt, its garbage, it shows if companies sees their work as art instead of just some moneymaker or cash grab if they are really that desperate for a quick buck and as for why there isnt a male V is probably they did a quick research on which V is more popular and because more people prefer female cause they like the VA or just for dating options and also the developers were lazy enough to do actual work and just put one V that was more popular which was a female one and also maybe cause of woke epidemic, man i dont know i just hope there will be one franchise which will resist and will never collab with fortnite
@ControllerLyfe no, like the story and dialogues seem more fitting when applied onto the female V and obviously heavily female centric promotion of the game, male v is still there but is given less importance in contrast to the female counterpart
I gotta tell you this i've been noticing CDPR for a year now and i've come to the conclusion that CDPR went Woke , DEI is running gaming, male v was the canon v back then in the trailers and promos but after Phantom Liberty everything changed , i hate the fact that people think that Female V is the most used by players where CDPR actually themselves announced that 67.3% officially have romanced panam , which brings the fact, Male V is the most used character by players but the MFs of UA-cam and everywhere using female v in their videos to bring attention from the simps , just look at their Thumbnails it's obvious, mfs putting characters with massive stuff if its like a hentai game or so , so yeah , good video man ❤
Why do you think that? The game was originally marketed with Male V, and he plays really well into the story. Other than feeling is there anything that Female V does that the other can't?
I’m curious as well because to me a female V feels super unnatural to the story with the way she talks, how her and Jackie become friends (in the intro they are literally living together which would be weird for a man and woman to do who are not dating and his mom is ok with it 🤣) and my biggest problem is not feeling like I can bro out which I guess is more of a guy thing but most players are guys so 🤷♂️
I always believed Fem V to be the canon character for some reason. Even outside the game world the voice actor narrates the Cyberpunk: No Coincidence Audiobook
Idk it depends how you played 2077. I personally feel like Johnny and male V had way better chemistry and it felt like 2 bros taking on an evil corpo. Either way however you headcanon it it’s frustrating how they (CDPR) are kind of discarding male V when he was the original poster child. Not that having either one as a poster child matters but when you actively forget the other one it’s just weird and feels disingenuous.
Female V is the more canon option. She is cdpr's clear preference. Her voice acting is way better too imo. Not saying male v is bad tho. He does his job well, but female v steals the show. Cherami Leigh is just so fantastic. I've heard her for years in anime dubs, and she always brings a nice tone to everything she does.
@MasterMike_ male v is just 1 note imo. He sounds kinda gruff and says all his lines very well but kinda boring. Female v has more personality and adds dimension to the character
@@tsivilsඞ because he's supposed to a tough guy for male gamers, Female V has more personality because she's intended for female gamers, she's strong and tough but she's still a woman that has to express her emotions, Male V could do the same but his voice is always the same since they want to keep that tough gimmick on him
@@tsivilsඞ fem v is really annoying while the male v sound much more badass like a true blade runner protagonist and let's not forget 75 percent of players choose male v
I have a strong feeling this is the same people who complained about the next game's sequels being a female like Ghost of Tsushima or the new Witcher female protagonist
Dude, if you really think that Ciri is just some sjw bullshit you haven't played the Witcher. They announced way back that Geralts story is over and his story ended perfectly in the witcher 3. That Ciri would be the new protagonist could have been guessed since the release of the witcher 3. She had the perfect set up for any new protagonist and has some unique power that would add on to the gameplay. She is literally the most obvious and perfect pick for the Witcher 4.
Nope not a chance in hell , Shepard are always male and 68% of ME players played as him the same for male V 67% of players played as him in Cyberpunk .
my preference has always been female v so i don’t understand all the uproar with male v BUT it makes sense why some people are kind of mad 😓 it would have been better to add both male/female v so everyone can be pleased
Sorry but the female VA is better, has a cooler hairstyle and the careless badass persona with the plus of being a woman is just badass all across the board, no competition rly. He is very basic in comparison tbh
Wtf are you on about? they are literally the same character and same person! They act the same too😭🙏🏻, and imo fem V sounds like she tries to hard to be cool and is pretty cringy very often
Not true, there's no canon gender. "Funny story, when we were working on Cyberpunk we made the conscious decision that the quest designers were going to think of V as a female character, while the writers think of V as a male character," Augustynek said.
it seems like for most settings, CDPR favors Valorie as the MC of cyberpunk 2077. fem V does have better dialogue imo but im personally a Vincent player. it is weird they didnt have them both as one skin. Johnny would flip his cyberlid if he saw this collab though
I don't understand this argument that female V is a better voice, like i completely disagree, her voice was one of the main reasons i didn't wanna play fem V💀🙏🏻

obviously mods are focused on female v when most mods are literally just turning v into a porn character.
Female V is canon
Gigantic L there’s no male V especially since he was the face of Cyberpunk and they only used female V around phantom liberty’s marketing.
If they had a David Martinez skin that would be fire ngl
Justice for my boy Vincent
💯💯💯💯Justice ! 😤
I know straight women who look like V but no lesbians who do 😂
@@KajesmithI think the players play a multiverse of Vs but the game's trailers universe is a female V one
Then you are a rare case, default fem V is what most ppl would picture as a lesbian(appearance wise ofc)@Godzilla_Star_Eater
I really like female V’s design for fortnite but it does get annoying seeing the nonstop hype specifically for her with all the recent marketing and everything, coming from this being my favorite game and me having a close bond to the canon male version. Really see no reason why there couldn’t have been alternate styles
Active sexist discrimination in gaming, plain and simple.
That is weird that they didn't include him
it made sense because of the marketing for the ultimate edition in which they only featured the female V with the exact same design.

Oh, I can answer that:
It's the same reason why female V on phantom liberty postcard:
CDPR went full DEI and "Male V" is not progressive enough for them.
Hey arent most user created mods for the female version?
If the numbers say most people play as female and the literal modding community itself is ignoring the male gender… Then no DEI did this, you did.
No dumb@ss, male V isn't cannon. Thats it. DEI?? Get a life.
Dude's reaching and really judged books by their cover, if anything Phantom Liberty itself is just good
Almost like you haven't played Phantom Liberty at all, we literally have Solomon Reed which is one of "literally me" type dude, and don't forget Kurt Hansen, that dude is straight up hardcore, even so that we got whole mission playing as him, then we got So Mi which depicted as backstabbing friend, isn't this familiar? they said that boys circle doesn't care as long you breathe same air, and then girls circle where they talk behind your backs.....
Exactly , the developers/artists from CDPR are feminists than professional game-developers .
(And they would just ignore Male V for no reason)
It’s obvious, male v is associated with the original release of cyberpunk, female v is associated with phantom liberty and updated 2.0… male v is hidden and will never be seen in any promo material ever again lol
Female V is just dei woke bs that's why cdpr devs are leaving to a new studio
I got that bundle with Johnny and Female V, they should’ve let you be able to swap V in game

Female V is not the reason the game is popular, they fixed the bugs and added content that's why it's popular
@@wrathofnile1094 Notice how I never said that the game became popular because of female V
male v is clearly cannon V so its just dissapointing imo. i get having female V included, but not having male V is like not putting courier-6 in ranger armour on the box art.
What does this even mean? They're both canon, it's an RPG. They even both have their own covers. And honestly I think Female V is the more popular of the two, I see Male V a lot less.
@@SuzukiBalls you only see female V recently, and by the fanbase. early promotional material, cinematic trailers, story trailers, hell, the exclusive backrounds and bonus content you get all feature male V in the iconic cover shot pose. the story trailer with jackie was male V. the only thing female V had before the ultimate edition and
PL expansion was the very early test demo. what i mean by male V is "cannon" is that when cyberpunk 2 comes out, or when the next TTRPG comes out, itll likley be Male V who is canonized into lore. it isnt like fallout where the games change cities or dont need to reference each other, V, his actions and his general appearance including atleast the gender will all need to be canonized. and itll likely look like male V from the 2077 cinematic trailer where jackie dies.
sorry that was so long winded, had to explain the logic here. i have nothing against female V, shes cool, but as someone who was hype about this game as a kid, played it on launch thru phantom liberty, everything was male V oriented until ultimate edition, is what i mean.
The truth is; They could GreenScreen "Gavin Drea's" Face & look exactly like from the Trailer ,
(Although they switched plans from not doing it for somewhat reason)
- The crew never rlly pictured the Male V Trailer because it might take awhile to develop Male V Trailer
- They just left the game like garbage without having an actual Protagonists Face from the Cinematic Trailer except Female V

Ah yes I was excited but now I will be keeping my money since no male v.
Even in the new cyberpunk board game set we got both Vincent and Valerie, I think this comes just to the more "marketable" option rather than "I think valerie is more canon"

I liked the 2018 e3 male v model
I really hope they keep a male playable character for the next cyberpunk game it would really suck if there wasn't the option
I just hope CDPR doesn't do something stupid and try to make female V the canon V in the sequel. Say what you will about modern BioWare at least they had the decency to keep both male and female Shepard canon when they rerelease the original trilogy.

To me the bromance between Male V and Jackie is more immersive. Also weird when you are dating Rogue on Johnny’s behalf.
Well Rouge is bi so is not weird at all.
I was not expecting cyberpunk and Fortnite to do a collab

cd project doesnt care about male v. when was the last time they used him for anything. like 2 years ago
The real question is why not David and Lucy pack..? V regardless of gender is non canon to that games lore.
They NEED to add a male V. A male V, panam and Adam smasher pack would be awesome. And if they wanted to include more they could add johnnys car to the game too
Na they should put David Martinez
I like how when cyberpunk first came out make V was the poster child and then at some point they completely forsook him in favor of female V out of the blue. But it’s cool I just see it as Male V doesn’t like working with corporations 😂
Im not suprised they have been queitly removing male V from the promotional material and cover art, heck CD project red has no problem changing established lore to push a certain message in Ciri becoming a witcher. Its not hard to put two and two together
male V would be dope to get, maybe in a pack with Adam Smasher

My dude!!! You finally got your views! About time! 🔥🔥🔥
The only explanation is CDPR wants to put forth an image that matches their progressive predilections as a company so they’ve shifted to femV as the postergirl. Neither is canon and if someone says either is they’re baiting. It’s not fair to the fans that prefer male V that all promotional and collaborative material going forward only showcases one V.
they are WOKE is why
no, you're just schizo
I assume it’s an “Eivor” situation, where the female version of Eivor is the one considered canon in the Assassin’s creed universe, and for this reason Fortnite only added female Eivor. So probably the “canon” version of V is the female one
which means CDPR went woke and pulled a fast one on normal people by having male V in the ads alot before PL
@ pretty much
@@solidvault3698not really it’s just that female v did a better job than than male v in voice acting
The entirety of the One piece, Dbz, Mob Psycho, and One Punch Man verses would be needed to unsheath my sword from its stone (Rouge)

It mostly favors male, and 67.53% chose to romance Panam.

Its not that big of a problem

If they did 3 we wouldn't be having this conversation 😂

It really ain't that deep most of Y'all probably don't even play fortnite like that or never did. Y'all crazy smh😂
What does this comment even mean? Is it wrong to want a character that was left out? Lmao bizarre bro
@ceTarnity it mean stop bitching about it
No one said it's "deep" we just want to play male V, because we like him more, why y'all so offended because someone prefers the other gender option
Ig theyve always consider female v to be more canon
I haven't read that but if they did why even make it an RPG lol
@ControllerLyfe no, like the story and dialogues seem more fitting when applied onto the female V and obviously heavily female centric promotion of the game, male v is still there but is given less importance in contrast to the female counterpart
@@shadow-of-sundered-star1105how? How does female V "fit mote"?
is simple, having Fem V just adds more to the marketing strat.
I gotta tell you this i've been noticing CDPR for a year now and i've come to the conclusion that CDPR went Woke , DEI is running gaming, male v was the canon v back then in the trailers and promos but after Phantom Liberty everything changed , i hate the fact that people think that Female V is the most used by players where CDPR actually themselves announced that 67.3% officially have romanced panam , which brings the fact, Male V is the most used character by players but the MFs of UA-cam and everywhere using female v in their videos to bring attention from the simps , just look at their Thumbnails it's obvious, mfs putting characters with massive stuff if its like a hentai game or so , so yeah , good video man ❤
not really sure why but imo male v isnt a very good actor and female v fits more in the story
Why do you think that? The game was originally marketed with Male V, and he plays really well into the story. Other than feeling is there anything that Female V does that the other can't?
@@AccuaroExactly
Interesting! I thought they were both good
Male V is a great voice actor, he sounds way more natural and believable than fem
There is *no canon* V.
It makes sense for them not to include male V considering all of the newer trailers and marketing has been female V
We should still have male
@gtmo55mack20 why does it matter that much to you? Its just a virtual cosmetic female V is fine and maybe they will add a male V later on
Another L
Female V is the more canon option. She is cdpr's clear preference. Her voice acting is way better too imo.
Not saying male v is bad tho. He does his job well, but female v steals the show. Cherami Leigh is just so fantastic. I've heard her for years in anime dubs, and she always brings a nice tone to everything she does.
Please someone explain how fem V is the better VA! I don't understand that
@MasterMike_ male v is just 1 note imo.
As far as I'm concerned Commander Shepard and V are canonically female.
Nope not a chance in hell , Shepard are always male and 68% of ME players played as him the same for male V 67% of players played as him in Cyberpunk .
my preference has always been female v so i don’t understand all the uproar with male v BUT it makes sense why some people are kind of mad 😓 it would have been better to add both male/female v so everyone can be pleased
wdym you don't understand it lol? Because a lot of people prefer Male V
Sorry but the female VA is better, has a cooler hairstyle and the careless badass persona with the plus of being a woman is just badass all across the board, no competition rly. He is very basic in comparison tbh
I know a lot of amazing women, female V is legit for sure.
Wtf are you on about? they are literally the same character and same person! They act the same too😭🙏🏻, and imo fem V sounds like she tries to hard to be cool and is pretty cringy very often
The glaze is insane
V is cannodically a female. its not just an RPG. when they wrote the story they intended the main to be a Female lead.
Not true, there's no canon gender. "Funny story, when we were working on Cyberpunk we made the conscious decision that the quest designers were going to think of V as a female character, while the writers think of V as a male character," Augustynek said.
@@ControllerLyfe This is indeed correct, both are valid, no matter how popular either is.
Show your source because from what I've seen it's the players choice and left ambiguous.
Complete lies
it seems like for most settings, CDPR favors Valorie as the MC of cyberpunk 2077. fem V does have better dialogue imo but im personally a Vincent player. it is weird they didnt have them both as one skin. Johnny would flip his cyberlid if he saw this collab though
They both fit incredibly well
Johnny would for sure lol
I don't understand this argument that female V is a better voice, like i completely disagree, her voice was one of the main reasons i didn't wanna play fem V💀🙏🏻
