Needs to have an easy access cell phone pocket, 4+ organization pockets, not look military, come in blue/purple. Having room for a water bottle, a sunglasses pocket, and quick detach strap would be major pluses.
Even before the magnetic loop I’ve carried the Baton II daily. It’s great to get it out of my pocket and onto a belt loop. It really allows such easy access in that moment where I need a light for multiple reasons. So much better that using ones phone as a flashlight.
I love that your review includes internal stitching. That is impressive construction and like color sschemes. I ruin most nylon gear like packs and wallets etc. Even formerly top tier brands like Camel Back can sell shodddy gear that will fail under rough use. I end up adapting tool stuff for edc.
Great minds think alike. I jumped all over that S2R2 deal. I own several baton 3 pros, but I always hear everyone saying that the S2R2 is a much better version. So I figure I will put that to the test. I'm also very excited about the carbon fiber i5r. That will be my first carbon fiber light. I'm glad your channel is blowing up so fast. I picked up the normal size EDC pouch on my order just yesterday or the day before, whenever it started. Although the large size came up as $14 for me not 10. I’ve been experimenting with an EDC pouch to carry my Leatherman wave, AAA, flashlight, 4 inch slip joint pliers, a Kershaw skyline folder, and using the zipper compartment for cards and cash. So far it works pretty good, despite being a bit bulky in a pocket, but I think it might be better than having everything clipped all over the place or gearing up on my belt like Batman. my only complaint about my tailcap button Olight flashlights like the tailcap button, is so damn stiff. I keep going back to my original first generation streamlight microstream.
Thanks for the video. As for me, Olight flaslights are a little bit overpriced. I prefer Convoy and Nitecore flashlights. I have a lot of chargers, so Iused to buy the flashlights with rechargeable batteries. But since last two years I've been buying the rechargeable flashlights (except submersible ones). According to Olight flaslights the only one thing rises interest is the carbon-fiber flashlights. As far as I know, the CF isn't the best heat conductor. How long do these flashlights work before led driver drops the current due to temperature rising?
Bought an i3 based on your recommendation, thought about getting the carbon fiber but decided against it since I think it might affect heat dissipation, especially if juiced up with a 10440
What they need to do with the magnetic charging is make a smaller one for the smaller lights. What I’m talking about is a small charging desk for the smaller keychain lights. If you look at the new I mini pro or the second one that came out whatever it’s called you’ll notice that if you were to plug the USB male portion into a USB a female plug like you normally would to charge it the inside of the housing that charge is the actual light and keeps it from turning on, is itself a miniature charging disc. So why not just cut off the housing part around it and then move the button to turn it on somewhere on the side of the flashlight itself or it could even be a twisty which isn’t the best but I would take it and then make it so that the charging disc isn’t what turns it on and off Like it is now but it’s just a charging desk but a small one. Tell me that wouldn’t be better for the smaller lights? And then those could all have a magnetic tail as well and when you get home, you can just stick them up on your refrigerator or anywhere else that’s magnetic, just like you can with the other ones. People would eat those up like hotcakes. Especially if you only had to spend 20 or $30 for one of them. The reason I bring this up is because of the fact that you’re using the olink on your keychain. Which is a great idea but in my opinion, the flashlight is just a tiny bit too big. For my taste anyway. But I would love to have a larger light that I can just yank off and use really quick. That’s about Jeno 200 lm or 300 lm.
Just a FYI in case you didn't know. (I'm the lowest level member) After the 2 levels of "pre" sales, when the main sale went live, I was able to purchase the Brass Flag Arkfeld. Not sure if they split the limited supply over the 3 different distribution times, but I did purchase one during the main release after all the "pre" sale times.
I'm so glad you brought up the Olink at the end of the video. And I'm going to issue you a challenge!!!! Just like you, I love carrying my baton 3's on an Olink. But I also love my Thrunite W1, T1, & T1S. But I haven't been very lucky with the magnets. Most of them are in reverse orientation, so they repelled an Olink instead of attracting it. I'm wondering if you could come up with some type of solution for this. I don't know if there's any way to get the magnet out of an Olink and flip it over and reattach it? If you could come up with a great solution for this I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance. 😎👍
I have a multitool question I'm hoping you'll see. i work as a welder and I carry a gerber truss and that works fine but I'm looking for something maybe a little more optimized, is there a multitool you'd recommend? if it matters I use MIG so wire cutters are a must
If only they could put a high CRI emitter on their lights I'd be all over them. Those carbon fiber lights are dope, but not with those cool white emitter.
They used to make more of the limited edition ones, and then now they’re making them like limited to 1000. That’s just not enough because more people are into their stuff now than ever before and they’re making less. Personally, I can’t stand limited edition stuff I think it’s dumb and if you happen to be broke at the time when it comes out, you have to spend like double or triple to get one if you really want one. if you’re someone that always has money to spend on extra stuff in life then yeah you’re gonna be able to get one but it kind of edges out people who are living paycheck to paycheck or close to that.
you moan about them running out after a day or so, hell here in the UK we run of anything big and new in minutes. Like if there is something everyone wants it got in 5 minutes and a few more at the begin of everyone sale and that gone in a minute.

No issues because they have a aluminum core with CF on top..that's the clever bit.
The most slept on Olight IMO is the Perun Mini. Have not tested the new version, but the older version is the bomb.
