ISAIAH 40:31 KJV

Very funny movie
Well that makes sense. After all, what's the point of being the omnipotent creator of the unverse if you get bad restaurant service because the wait-staff are tired?
Exodus 21:20-21
When a man strikes his slave, male or female, with a rod and the slave dies under his hand, he shall be avenged. But if the slave survives a day or two, he is not to be avenged, for the slave is his money.
@@atheistdingo6273
Why is this significant to you? Or are you attempting to use the Bible to justify your garbage views on your pathetic life?
@@atheistdingo6273 uhh that's out of context, or it's a m-metaphor...or something...
This's the movie where Jim Carrey plays a character who puts on a magical mask that makes him act like Jim Carrey.
Beside Ace that was his best Role
Well put
No, you’re way off. He puts on the mask and Jim shows how incredibly talented and versatile he is unlike ANY other comedian is
@@tunez1988gj no it wasn’t
This was a HUGE gamble by New Line Cinema. Up until this movie, they were known as "The House that Freddy Built" with Nightmare on Elm Street being their biggest hit. Trying to dive into new markets, somehow the Director and Producer were able to convince New Line to back a movie with a TV Sidekick (from In Living Color) as the leading man, and a teenage model with NO acting experience as the leading lady. (back then Jim Carey and Cameron Diaz were Hollywood nobodies. Man how times have changed).
To be fair, the comics that were the source material for The Mask (where Ipkiss becomes a murderer) were very much in line with the darkly humorous tone of the Elm Street movies. The production process really lightened the tone of the film, so it ended up being more of a branching out than it was probably originally intended to be in terms of style.
Jim Carrey's 1994 was insane
You're right, they really don't make live-action cartoons anymore. They may make live-action _versions_ of cartoons, but that's not the same thing.
27:01» _"That's a spicy meat-a-ball!"_ 😂😂😂
The real star, is the dog!
This is one of my favorite 90's childhood movies! lol Also they really should STILL be making movies like this today!
The 'Watch it Chunky... Mayor Tilton!' moment gets me every time xD
It's that moment of 'Oh wow am I screwed. '
Mask Dorian still looks better than all the cgi villains in movies now.
His mask looks better than Jim's mask. Cool and dangerous, always liked and rooted for villains as a kid, both live action and animation.
Cough cough Thanos
Thanos looks fake. @@Xscape128
Milo should have won an oscar for this...
The Oscar Meyer
She soo giggly I love it
The Mask was a comic book before the movie, but the comic is MUUUUUUCH darker and more violent than the movie.
You would like *(Who Framed Rodger Rabbit)*
I enjoyed watching you giggle and laugh at my favorite parts 😂
Jim Carrey is a legend 🐐
Jim Carrey released The Mask, Ace Ventura AND Dumb and Dumber all in this same year. Legend
Yes, no other movie star’s career took off that fast. Not even Tom Cruise’s career took off that fast
If you havent already, watch Bruce Almighty, you cant go wrong with Jim Carrey and Morgan Freeman :) Thanks for sharing your reaction!
RIP Richard Jeni
For real.
shooting bullets with that pretty mouth gives me chills babe 😊
Jim Carrey is a genius!
one of my favorite movies ever
This is basically a sixties Looney Tunes cartoon brought to life. It actually started out, as you noted, as a comics series, though the character was much darker. After the movie came out, it spawned a cartoon series with Stanley, Milo and the female reporter
Girl you look like all kinds of fun😊🎉
Cameron Diaz' screen debut!
GREAT REACTION MY GORGEOUS LADY BOO ♥️♥️ ENJOY UR DAY LOVE THIS MOVIE WAS 🎥🍿 WAS SOOO HILARIOUS 😂😂😂😆 GOD BLESS 💕
20:55 » a punch on the stomach over there, lmao 😂🤣😂🤣😂 // we all got caught in this plot twist they did 😆😆😅
Apart from Jim's amazing rubber face, the somewhat impressive special FX, and introducing gorgeous Cameron Diaz to most people... one thing about this movie that made it standout was how they took this super common trope that you saw in a ton of 80s and 90s movies where there was a male protagonist who wasn't great with the ladies, who was friends with or got help from some overlooked female who was usually a bit nerdy or bookish or wore glasses or had mousy hair or didn't wear makeup, but who was lusting after some other female who was typically some busty blonde bombshell type, and the bombshell always turned out to be an evil bitch and then the male lead would realize that he really should have been with the other girl all along because she had a heart of gold and a nicer personality and besides when she took her glasses off or let her hair down she was pretty hot, too... and they turned that on its ear by making Cameron Diaz actually be the good girl and Amy Yasbeck be the evil bitch. It was refreshing and surprising at the time.
The Mask, is the perfect alter ego?! Is that what you meant when you said today it would mean something different, thats a unique point you bring up, cuz that's quite timeless imo
I always enjoy seeing your Bible verses and your movie reactions...in that order. Excellent job with both.
Exodus 21:20-21

@@atheistdingo6273 this verse has little to no meaning within the context of what I previously said. Other than the fact that it's a Bible verse...the fact that you decided to quote scripture mentioning slave ethics is pretty crazy.
Ezekiel 25:17
"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."
@@dupersuper1938 One of if not the best Samuel L Jackson quotes of all time.
Seriously, your hair looks amazing! It’s so sharp and on point, you got styling skills 💯
I think it's stuck in development Hell, but Jim was supposed to play the Devil in a movie version of the classic musical DAMN YANKEES.😊
YES!!!
Love this movie!
It's based on the comic book series of the same name from Dark Horse Entertainment.
Before Jim Carrey played Stanley Ipkiss, Keanu Reeves, John Ritter, Mike Myers, Steve Martin, Rick Moranis, Nicolas Cage, Will Ferrell, and Martin Short were considered.
Jack Nicholson, Robert DeNiro, Rupert Everett, Willem Dafoe and James Woods were considered for the villain.
This was Cameron Diaz's acting debut. Before she was cast as Tina Carlyle, Anna Nicole Smith, Vanessa Williams, Tia Cararre, and Christina Applegate were considered for the role.
The comics were very different very dark and violent like the punisher meets deadpool
Good catch on the Mask being a comic book property. It absolutely was. But unlike the movie, the comic was EXTREMELY dark and violent. Even gory. The movie was set to follow a similar style but producers felt that the darker, violent movies aimed towards teenagers like the Terminator and Robocop were best left in the 80s. In the 90s, movies started to become more family oriented so that's why they changed up the style of the original source material.
Hopefully someone warned her about the comic before she reads it lol
Oh wow i haven't seen this movie in years lol I forgot how crazy fun it was! Awesome reactions!
That dress outfit combo is fire!!!
I love your reaction videos. Your energy is so refreshing. I have a couple movie suggestions that I think you will enjoy… “Problem Child 1&2” and the “Scream” franchise.
Did you know there is another channel called "Heather Sinclair" that is literally just uploading your reactions? They didn't even bother trying to remove the instagram watermark on the lower left corner of your videos. Just a heads up.
It is based on a Comic Book series from Dark Horse Comics!!!!
perfect movie for gabby, she's already like a female version of the mask XD
One of my favorite quotes. Glory.
@ 26:38 The Mask was referencing to Clint Eastwood's hit movie 'Dirty Harry'. The movie was released 5 years after The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. The Dirty Harry franchise would go on to have four more added from 1971-1988.
Also fun fact the teeth that Jim Carrey was wearing were only suppose to be worn only one time for a take after transforming and never wear again, but he took the time to talk with those big teeth
Strong family resemblance
Good react video :)
Hi from Alberta Canada 🇨🇦 😊
Awesome
Nice to see you back. You've been gone for quite a bit. Hope all is well with you and yours!
❤❤
Sorta random recommendation, but I think you'd like the show Trigun. It came out round the same time as this movie, and it's main character has similar vibes to Stanley.
It's an anime, but it's got a great dub, the main character Vash even sounds just as whacky yet serious as Jim Carrey does as Stanley. Also it has some very well written christian allegory that I think you'd appreciate. I'm not religious myself but even I appreciated how well it seemed to handle it
You so sweet I love your reactions😍
Awsome reaction as always. Movie is funny. And you looking 💯 love the hair. ✌️
Purgatory 1999 that a great western movies
The comic was WAY darker. A lot of people died, and he was not trying to be a hero at all 😂. It's still a great movie. I love Jim Carrey.
This was his first year doing movies since "In Living Color" Appearance,he released 2 movies in 94' they were both instant Classics,2 movies in 95' and was the Highest Paid Comedian that Year. This was also a cartoon character before they made it into a movie.
Check Out; "Charlotte's Web"(1973)
"Popeye"(1980)
"Batman"(1989)
"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie"(1990)
You should check out The Truman Show too
Gtreat reaction
The Mask: gets a movie
The Mystery Men: get a movie
The Flaming Carrot: "Ut!"
the mask was not chessy to me i think it was hailarious to me in my honest opinion i think this movie was a great underrated movie one of my favorite him carry movie of all time this movie is also relatable to me and i do love comedy live action shows and movies and i also love cartoons too that's why i love this movie so much
0:53...NO way..dont wanna go with me? Then Me and MY pal will be glad to go!! When I look back at this flick I realize no one but the rubber faced/body of Jim Carrey could have pulled this one off-He was literally the comic come to life!! LOL the way u imitated The Mask moves!! If u wanna see Carrey dance some more, watch his funny imitation of Micheal Jackson on the "Living Color" show
If you want more real life loony tunes then check out Who Framed Roger Rabit
Great reaction!!! May I suggest in the same vain as live action cartoon type movies: Kung Fu Hustle (subtitled version)
You have a beautiful smile, hard to pay attention to the reaction
Ah yes movie that made me a villaom lol, well as someone named Dorian it was one of the notable times my name appeared in pop culture so i was def referred to as this.guy lol
Next one: react to peewees big adventure (1985), Pretty silly if your interested from the peewee show.
If you like the crazy looking sets and characters or makeup, you’ve gotta check out Dick Tracy from 1990. The cast is insane, stars Warren Beatty, Dustin Hoffman, Al Pacino, Madonna, Mandy Patinkin (Indigo from Princess Bride), Paul Sorvino. The costumes and mskebb CNN up are out of this world. It has the most comic book feel of any movie I’ve seen. It’s really enjoyable as a fun movie but certainly not serious film making. There is an album from Madonna called I’m Breathless, it features several songs fom the film and one not in the film that will make you dance like a crazy person. IT’S BANANAS! 😉
Dick Tracy is great. They went out of their way to design the sets and costumes to mimic the comics as closely as possible, right down to using fabrics that wouldn't be preferred for suits, but that caught the light and displayed their colors perfectly for that comic feel.
Please give STAR TREK a chance. 🖖
Watch Jim Carrey vanilla ice parody in living color 😆😆😆😆
Cool movie I was hoping for Mask 1985 one lol that’s really good movie too
I also liked the 80s cartoon.
30:11 I guess LeBron James's Spacejam 2 might be considered a recent movie with similar style? Dunno though, since I haven't watched it.
The TVA missed this Loki variant
SSSSSMOKIN!!!!
i would love for you to react to the movie sarafina. this movie is so underrated
Awesome reaction, can you please watch a movie called LADDER 49.
You must react to the godfather trilogy
One of my favorite Jim Carrey movies (another is How The Grinch Stole Christmas). He's got some soul for singing. Only Jim Carrey can do justice to the green face and horse teeth. Damn you Jamie Kennedy, for giving us the rancid garbage pile called "The Son Of The Mask".
Liar Liar is a great Jim Carrey movie, if you haven't seen it
Casablanca
You're so beautiful. You should be a model...
New subscriber. You are very beautiful. 👍
0:49. The late, sometimes great, Richard Jeni
Smoked himself, when Carrey, and others, in the comedy world, left him in their professional dust☠
Richard had depression and paranoid schizophrenia. Other comedian's successful careers didn't make him end things.
The sequel was terrible ( not Carrey)
This one and Once Bitten were fairly weak, but Ace Ventura 1 & 2 and Dumb & Dumber are 10x funnier than this.
First of all, why are you comparing a movie that he was in before he was famous to all of his starring roles? Once Bitten was way before he was famous. And secondly you’re dead wrong, if you don’t think that the Mask was the best comedy ever (or at least one of the best comedies ever) then there’s something wrong with you. It was equal to both Ace Venturas, Dumb & Dumber and Liar Liar
Have you seen the movie Sleepers?
21:28 you're funny @Californiablend
