All protein comes from plants and plant protein will always be more superior spirulina carries over twice as much protein than steak per 100 grams. There's a difference in trying to bulk up the basic American way, then there's the educated all aspect overall strength which gives you higher athletic performance in multiple fields and not just basic mass and bulk
I just discovered this channel and this video really helped me understand the importance of all these macro calories. I just recently got a personal trainer and I was getting so frustrated with hitting all my macros and why I needed to consume so much. Yes, she was helping me understand a little bit of why I need to hit them but you gave a deeper understanding to really WHY I need to hit them. This video really motivated me and helped me! I hope that you keep making videos!
Hi Evan. Big fan from India. Since you love rice, you should try the Sona Mussorie rice which is the daily driver for a Billion people. We don't consume a lot of basmati, not for the price, but the digestability of sona mussorie is much better than Basmati. Also, you should try to rinse the rice after it is cooked. That is when the real texture and taste of rice comes out.

As someone who almost had weight loss surgery 95% of what you said in this video is what my dietician told me. Especially the choosing nutrient dense food. I didn’t do the surgery because I had more success with visits to the dietician + changing the way I eat + keeping track of what I eat and when and exercise. I have lost so far 77lbs. Very informative video. I subbed immediately.
I love what you do for us, Evan, and I love your attitude. You're indeed a great symbol of this sport. There's a lot of vids out there when it comes to exercises but your knowledge in nutrition is more rarely shared which is a shame because this is also what bodybuilding is about. Plus, everyone can take your advices to improves the daily life. I've watched every vid of yours with pleasure, going through the hassle of translating some food stuff because english isn't my first language. Hell I even wrote things down to remember, I never do that. It's kinda frustrating when I can't find here what you show in your videos but I've become a lot more aware of what I'm buying, which is good. He seems rather thoughtful intelligent and super cool and down to earth. But that's how all us CT cats are tho I've relocated out of the nutmeg st. Something I’m experimenting with at the moment is sourdough, lower in gluten than most breads and there’s some evidence that it has some anti inflammatory properties. Not to mention tastes great with some eggs post workout!
This is was really informative video. I started a workout regiment roughly 4 months ago. I also changed my diet. Many diet/nutrition videos and info I have been watching or reading are kind of confusing. This video was black and white straight to the point. Answered many questions I've had. Thank you.

I did iifym for a long time and I made a tone progress and felt great. Especially when I was training for crossfit. But I was eating around 5000 calories a day and most of it was still quality. But ever since I've switched back to this style of eating with my bodybuilding coach. I feel better then ever and my body looks better then ever only 6 months into bodybuilding again. Its amazing what real nutrition can do.
