The rear sights of several guns are mere decorations in the new ones and have way less detail, like on the skorpion evo or the PKM. The final nail in the coffin is what they did to my beloved AN-94. Because every game after vanguard was built with the express intent of porting WZ onto mobile and then scaling THAT game up onto consoles and PC with additional settings. It's why the lighting in WZ2 has been so flat compared to 2019 and why the animations look more rigid because there's less frames between transitions during more animations. They systematically cut down MW19 so MW22 could be made playable on a mobile phone as an alpha. Then MW3 was the final product.
People can say what they want about 19 but it’s unmatched when it comes to adding character to the weapons and the feel. You actually feel like your shooting a rifle without any of the exaggerated recoil.
@@l1xard884 Don’t get mad because I’m right boy. Sales prove it. Only reason new cods *make* more money, is because of MTs, but sales themselves are going down.
2019 was truly ahead of it's time... no CoD since has looked or felt as good. It's a damn shame that Activision destroyed IW's passion in the name of profit. But it's just what happens. If IW were to somehow break free of Activision and announce their own game that they were building from the ground up knowing they're not being pressured by Activision's "vision" and deadlines, I'd be alllll over it
There's no denial that MW19 looks better overall, but I do think some context is neccesary. Aside from lighting, MW19 did not want to compromise performance and graphics in any way. It was made to look absloutely gorgeous on a fully decked out PC, but came at a cost of basic functionalities, like the lack of a console FOV slider. MW2/3 on the other hand was made with console FOV slider in mind, but had to sacrifice performance and visual fidelity to make it work, especially for old gen consoles. MW19 feels like a game made with PC as a priority, and then got sort of worked out for consoles, whilst MW2/3 was made to have similar performance across both platforms.
You can blame warzone for that Game would look better if they didnt have the need to have Warzone look the same as MP and become the core CoD experience Without WZ we would have had better games in the last 3 years
Mw19: Crispier like food, and more crunchier like food also, and more treble boosted Mw23: Sounded our joints, breaking bones, jawline. More bass boosted
Hard disagree, the flat lighting has to have been an intentional decision to improve visibility. Have you forgotten how many people complained about it in 19?
I do like that with the MW3 Kar98k it’s all metal and looks like a newly built model of a Kar98k and as a result the bolt animation is smoother. It could be a coincidence though.
It's because WZ2/MW3/MMW22/WZ mobile were all built on the same engine. In fact WZ2/MW3 were built from mobile first and then ported over onto console/PC so they could make sure bundles and skins could be effortlessly ported between mobile and console. That said in trying to compress a AAA game onto mobile the final product had to get compromised in order to be able to be scalable onto mobile specifically so they can sell the same store bundles and skins.
Bro Fr, MW19 guns (and the game overall) were a masterclass in design. The gunst felt like they had a weight and power behind them, they sounded awesome, they all looked unique cuz of their color, shape, sound and playstyle, there were almost no guns that looked or felt the same. MW2/3 guns all look, sound and feel almost the same, they have no character at all except for some MW3 guns
MW 2019 was the last COD I remember putting a lot of time into. It was the best reboot in this new trilogy. The sounds, atmosphere, and attention to details were spot on! Overall the game felt refreshing as well!
What I conclude from MW2019 is that it was able to create the recoil impact effect when you fire a gun. Its guns are also very crunchy and satisfying to hear. Gunshots also sound like they blend well with the map. MWIII takes all those aspects I have mentioned and lowered it down disappointingly. Yeah, yeah, "it is an arcade game," some will say, but it cannot be denied a majority of us like the ASMR of MW2019.
Imo this isn't a fair comparison, the way weapon details are rendered in both games is in the normals and specular wich requires information from lighting to look correct. In MW2019 the same plasticy smoothed off look can be seen when standing in shade which is what is happening in the MW3 comparison. There are definitely also differences in art style but it would be most fair to compare MW3 with the guns directly lit
Imagine this in 2024 BO6 will be on newer gen consoles and pc while having more development of the game but when its released the graphics will still lose against mw19(kinda)
In terms of graphics alone, I still get the feeling that more love was put into MW19 than into its successors...it simply looks more realistic but plays like a COD....
Man I miss the MW19 era - I would definitely play this game again but the fact that it caused my controller to have stick drift, I have to avoid playing it lol
Well, from my impression the graphics do look semi decent and they’re bringing back actual weapons that existed in the time period, but thats about it.
MW19's only downside was locked fov. Mw2/3 chug even on Series x. Saw an article or vid saying mw19 is better cuz art design, but even sounds are way better on 19 imo.
About half way through the video I realized that this was all on the same map in the same spot. MW19 looked so vibrant and pretty my brain just assumed it was another map.
As a person who has played neither (although i did play mwII) mw 2019 looks a lot better. The animations and sounds are better for MW 2019 on every gun but the Kar
mw2019 looks like they are actual operators who are trained to reload under stress, thus everything looking "panicked", mw3 looks like generic animations that dont have any flavor apart from the inspect animations
The thing is, COD did not get worse in terms of graphics, it just became more realistic, if it was colorful like before then it wouldnt be as realistic Edit: I sometimes dont get how people complain that it doesnt look realistic but at the same time they wont stop talking with how the colors dont look how it used to
The release of MW’ 19 breathed fresh air into the modern warfare formula. We especially got intimate with it during the CoVID-19 Pandemic- nothing like seeing those firearm animations. But it seems things only last for seasons.
Fun Fact: If you look closely during the tac reload of the Famas in Mw2019, the magazine uses steel cased 5.56 rounds due to the Famas having a delayed blowback system. Using typical brass casings would cause the gun to malfunction, something that Mw3 got wrong
The reason why it looks better is the lighting i noticed, it's a lot brighter and vibrant than the recent year cod, still i miss the days before mw2019 where graphics always changed each entry having a unique artstyle from the one before it
WZ2/MW22/MW3/WZ mobile were all built to be optimized for mobile first and then upscaled eith more settings and resolution otpions for console/PC. But its the fact that the game had to be built for mobile first meant compromises had to be made which affected users on console/PC. The reason for all this was so they could sell the same store bundles and skins across mobile/console with minimal loss in perceivable quality rubning on the same platform. Thats why many of the animations have less frames and fewer details. Its why the lighting is just flatter overall. If you think the weapons and maps have gotten downgraded look into the operator animations. Even slide cancelling had more stance changes back in 2019 and there were more details in character animations which made reading their movement easier even though MW3 is trying to bring back 2019 movement it stil looks worse bc of this. Tldr; the resson why things look downgraded is because we're playing a version of 2019 that was specifically otpimized for mobile first in the pipeline with extra console/PC specific features being added afterwards.
Depends on your settings in each game. I'm running 2019 and the PS5 version of MWIII, both on PS5 obviously, and MWIII looks the same. Only thing MWII and MWIII are missing is the lighting.

MW2019 just seems much crisper and detailed, with better saturation and shadows. MWIII looks weirdly hazy and flat, and guns looks plastic and too clean. Pretty much the only thing MWIII has on MW2019 visually are some really good weapon inspects.
exactly, i agree that MW2019 looks better but the animation and sound design quality has had a big step-up compared to MW2019 from MWII onwards.

It ain't no nostalgia goggles. The markings and the metal on the guns look way more crisp. The Famas for example, on MW19 looks super crisp and metal, while on MWIII it looks like a sad plastic rectangle. The writings on all the guns are blurrier or eliminated, like on the MG36. The rear sights of several guns are mere decorations in the new ones and have way less detail, like on the skorpion evo or the PKM. The final nail in the coffin is what they did to my beloved AN-94. I still can't grasp how making worse looking games half a decade in the future is worth it.

with every new cod i'm becoming more and more convinced with the fact that nothing will top MW2019 other than MW4 (MAYBE)
At this point I don’t think MW4 will surpass MW19, since that’s what everyone expected when MW2 and MW3 came out (and it didn’t happen)
CODs Now don't think about Gameplay or Story, They just think about how to make Another skin for their game
People can say what they want about 19 but it’s unmatched when it comes to adding character to the weapons and the feel. You actually feel like your shooting a rifle without any of the exaggerated recoil.
Every cod since 2019 has looked and played worse.

You can tell how much more work was able to go into MW2019, as opposed to MWIII which was rushed out the door.
I knew I wasn’t crazy. MW19 has the BF3 effect of just looking amazing despite the newer games technically being higher fidelity.
looks like MW3 has a fog filter over the top of it or something
2019 was truly ahead of it's time... no CoD since has looked or felt as good. It's a damn shame that Activision destroyed IW's passion in the name of profit. But it's just what happens. If IW were to somehow break free of Activision and announce their own game that they were building from the ground up knowing they're not being pressured by Activision's "vision" and deadlines, I'd be alllll over it
*a certified Nemskussy classic* 😮💨
you’re the goat
You can blame warzone for that
Game would look better if they didnt have the need to have Warzone look the same as MP and become the core CoD experience
Without WZ we would have had better games in the last 3 years
Console FOV slider wasn't a compromise, it was an oversight that they refused to fix. 2019 is less demanding than MW3 dude.
Mw19: Crispier like food, and more crunchier like food also, and more treble boosted
Mw23: Sounded our joints, breaking bones, jawline. More bass boosted
MW23: Churned out and made for shilled money

"yall got soul and fun?"
Mw3(2023): we got reload and inspect animations
They really did a number on this games engine.
Hard disagree, the flat lighting has to have been an intentional decision to improve visibility. Have you forgotten how many people complained about it in 19?
Its not the games engine its the fact that they pumped out the game for a paycheck
I do like that with the MW3 Kar98k it’s all metal and looks like a newly built model of a Kar98k and as a result the bolt animation is smoother. It could be a coincidence though.
I still dont know, why mw19 looks better than cw, trashguard, MW2 and mw3.

MW 2019 was the last COD I remember putting a lot of time into. It was the best reboot in this new trilogy. The sounds, atmosphere, and attention to details were spot on! Overall the game felt refreshing as well!
I miss the 2019 days
What I conclude from MW2019 is that it was able to create the recoil impact effect when you fire a gun. Its guns are also very crunchy and satisfying to hear. Gunshots also sound like they blend well with the map.
MWIII takes all those aspects
I have mentioned and lowered it down disappointingly.
Yeah, yeah, "it is an arcade game," some will say, but it cannot be denied a majority of us like the ASMR of MW2019.
Is it me or do the firing sound effects seem more unique to each weapon while mw3 uses the same generic sound?
No
@@Ahmed97855 full powered .308 marksman rifles sound like a peashooter.
Yup. No uniqueness to the sounds in mw3. Just same old BASS.
In terms of graphics alone, I still get the feeling that more love was put into MW19 than into its successors...it simply looks more realistic but plays like a COD....

theres still lots of people that still play mw 2019 and its great now
As a person who has played neither (although i did play mwII) mw 2019 looks a lot better. The animations and sounds are better for MW 2019 on every gun but the Kar
mw2019 looks like they are actual operators who are trained to reload under stress, thus everything looking "panicked", mw3 looks like generic animations that dont have any flavor apart from the inspect animations
Sledgehammer modeled their Kar98 similar to the one in Vanguard. That's why it looks and feels so different.
Been watching since the OG warzone stuff keep up the good work Nemsk
The thing is, COD did not get worse in terms of graphics, it just became more realistic, if it was colorful like before then it wouldnt be as realistic
Edit: I sometimes dont get how people complain that it doesnt look realistic but at the same time they wont stop talking with how the colors dont look how it used to
The weapon inspect is absolutely the most awesome thing ever added to a first person shooter in my opinion
Kinda funny how the player looks shocked by the recoil when the first shot was fired in MW3
The reason why it looks better is the lighting i noticed, it's a lot brighter and vibrant than the recent year cod, still i miss the days before mw2019 where graphics always changed each entry having a unique artstyle from the one before it
Water vs H2O
They made MW2019 as a high effort hail mary to get us back.
