I love your style, you realy make the combo pocket 6k + Leica shine. I would love to try theese lenses. I love the composition, the light, the way you play with theese fantastic flares, the textures... It is always a pleasure to travel on Matteo Airlines ✈️
Hi Matteo. When you grade in Rec709 you have to choose the HDTV profile in system preferences -> display. In Resolve Color Management to Rec709-A and make sure "10bit display" and "use display profile" in user settings is on. Works for me. Have the same MacBook and fell in love with the HDR grading possibilities. Absolutely insane!
Nah that never worked for me. If I select mac display users everything looks horrible. I did hundreds of test using rec709a and nothing ever changed in Quicktime nor on UA-cam. Same terrible desaturated crap!
@@matteobertoli That's weird. These settings save my daily work. In the early two days I had some trouble using the XDR profile but then I set the display to HDTV and the image looks exactly the same from DaVinci to UA-cam/Vimeo...
Do you power your camera and monitor from the same battery when you use the bmpcc rigged up? I keep reading about people burning out their hdmi ports from doing this because of some weird “power loop” issue, but on the other hand it seems like lots of people do it and never have an issue.
The night scene on this one is just *chef's kiss*. Some shots are a bit too shaky for my liking but it's your film not mine. Nonetheless, awesome as always.
Looks great, I've used that Leica lens myself and it really is beautiful. I wonder how the sigma art series lenses with say a black satin diffusion on it would compare to say the Leica, I don't have the Leica lens anymore but it'd be an interesting comparison. If I had to guess I think it'd close the gap between the 2.
Can you post a photo of the camera with the lens and anything else on it the way you shot this? I’m always amazed at your handheld shots without a stabilized sensor or lens. Beautiful! I suspect you had no rig with this either.
I have a 6k BBPCC but I don’t use IR filters. I also rely on the internal ND. Noticed some colour shift with internal ND. Any advice as to WHY I could use an IR cut filter?
@@matteobertoli yes but is it bad enough that it can be easily corrected with grading or even just adding a LUT? Is it worth it in your professional opinion?
Nice video! I wonder how you managed not to blow up windows lights completely in those night shots so I can actually see inside the buildings. Did you use any filter for that, or you just underexposed and brought shadows back in post?
super impressive images as always! Graet work! What aperture did you mostly shot at? I can't see any chromatic aberration on the trees - when I am shooting with 28mm I always fight with it :D
@@matteobertoliI have L r 35mm and Matteo is right.. the back of the lens will hit the speed booster glass before infinity. Is it happen to all Leica R Matteo ? 24mm? Thanks..

Come do this in CT so I can meet you and you can show me some tips for my BMPCC 6k 👀😅. I'll show you around, plenty of great places to shoot here
Wow! Beautiful! Its like you perfected your Original bmpcc video in London all those years ago. Beautiful cinematography, your style is mesmerising.
I love how you captured the look and feel of Boston in this video! I used to live there and this brings back lots of good memories. Thank you!
omg.. amazing... how many videos you created with the Leica R Lens?
i am totally IN LOVE WITH THOSE LENS.. NOW...
you don’t have to know anything about cinematography to appreciate this level of work. Props man, this is about as good as it gets
Beautiful. Thanks for that🙏🏽❤️🔥🦾
looks great Matteo. I looooove the contrast. Deep, rich and moody colors always do it for me. Keep it up man.

Great grading and beautiful pictures -as always. Thank you for the fine video.
Love how most of the shots are in traffic bc that’s most of what the Boston experience is 😂
Beautiful! Especially liked the twilight shots.
Beautiful, looks like movie🎥 best seen from bmpcc 6k. 28mm is very beautiful.
I was literally in boston few days ago and was I filming with the 6k pro!! Wish I had run into you. Posting my video soon!
Amazing work!!
This is awesome!!!
this is motivation to start shooting travel films!
Lovely footage! Interested in those circular NDs, have you messed with the freewell magnetic NDs?
Parts of Boston really remind me of Amsterdam, how I miss it so!
Wonderful video man! That Leica really is something else! Hoping to acquire one in the future!
Awesome video man! 🔥
Back at it again with the Leica R videos! Do you find a need to use a mist filter with ur Leica R's?

Great stuff Matteo! Come back in March for St. Patrick's Day parade, and we'll take you to the Eire pub for a real Boston experience.
I am moving to Portugal!

@@matteobertoli Oh, the same one you posted about a week and a half ago? Sweet! Thank you.

Very nice love it … do u break de 180 degree shutter rule?
Would you recommend a 4K owner looking to upgrade to get the 6k or 6k pro?

You need IR cut because the BMPCC6K doesn’t have them inside

Spettacolare comlimenti Matteo.
My hometown. Nice work! If you’re ever back in Boston, let’s collaborate. 👍🏻
Beautiful work! Was this handheld or did you rig it?
Thanks! Just the camera with the cage on it
sorry for the dumb question, but which Leica r are you buying exactly? Summicron, elmarit,... Thanks!
Summicron

Beautiful images Matteo!
Nice video! I wonder how you managed not to blow up windows lights completely in those night shots so I can actually see inside the buildings. Did you use any filter for that, or you just underexposed and brought shadows back in post?
Thanks! No filters used! It’s pretty hard to clip those lights with a Pocket 6k. Plenty of dynamic range!

Thanks! 2.8!
This is gorgeous! Do you shoot 180 degree SA?
What was the iso for the night time shots ? They are so clean !!
1250 and some 2000!
beautiful as always ❤ did you do any denoising to the night scenes?
Thanks! Nope!
What aspect ratio and frame size is this export? I love how it fills up my entire phone when rotated horizontally!
21:9
Is the leica R 28mm expensive?
Man every video of yours is inspiring, I wanted to ask you , what adapter do I need if I wanna use this lens with the bmpcc 4k? Thank you😁👊
Thanks! speedbooster for leica R ;)
Bmcc is a m4/3 sensor/ mount. So if it’s Leica R glass to a m4/3 camera search on Amazon ( or wherever for that mount)
Also keep in mind, modded EF leica R won’t work with ef speedboosters

Sempre TOP, Maestro Bertoli.
Posseggo lo stesso 28 R su BM 6K Pro. Come lo giudichi? I flare come li trovi, eccessivi?
Per me è stupendo!
Ciao Matteo, mi hai fatto fare un giro suggestivo a Boston stando seduto al computer, mi piaciono le ombre "chiuse" orgoglio italiano ❤️🎥
Is this the v1 or v2 28mm?
I like golden/blue hour part the most. I do not like when she's on her phone at all (unless it's cellphone commercial).
Beautiful work as always man!
What aspect ratio is this?
Great footage but the music made it a bit daggy.
omg...
