The Pixel 6A is a fantastic phone. I took my SIM card out of my Pixel 6 Pro for my 6A. I like the flat screen better and the smaller sized phone as a whole. Still prefer one handed use and the camera overall won the 2022 MKBHD challenge. #TeamPixel
While I prefer the smaller size I couldn't go back to a 60hz panel after using a 120hz one - It just feels so sluggish once you're used to the faster refresh rate. The Pixel 7's 90hz isn't a bad middle ground while maintaining a flatscreen but still feels like a downgrade. Here's to hoping they make the 8 Pro flat. I know there's rumours of them making a smaller Pro too but I believe that's not until the Pixel 9 lineup unfortunately, so 2 years away still.
@@DanWalshTV im fine with the 60 Hz as long as the software is stable and smooth.. I have Vivo X80 Pro which has 120Hz screen, as my daily driver, also i have been using previously S22+ with 120Hz.. I still have LG Velvet 5G which is 60Hz screen as my secondary phone.. For me, its not a deal breaker to use a 60Hz vs 120Hz. Iam sure the stock android on the 6a is smooth and fast enough that in couple of hours using the phone, i will forget about the 120Hz thing. Btw, i still ordered the 6a and will pick up tomorrow.
I ditched my very old iPhone 7 for a 6A on black Friday. I love the phone. I take most of my photos on a DSLR so don't care much for phone cameras. Though the 6A certainly is not bad for when I'm not carrying a camera. What I discovered is that I can plug my portable solid state hard drive into the 6A. I know flash drives are compatible with most phones, but I didn't expect to be able to use my hard drive plugged into the USB C socket. I did try it on an IP 11 and it was no go. Just formatted to EXFAT and it works on the 6A and computer. I paid £299 and got a free Google case in the John Lewis sale. So 2 year warranty too. I'm a very happy customer.

@@gamerpulok5502 I'm still loving my 6A after 6 months. Only thing I can criticise is the finger print reader is a little slow. I also learned that it works best to change the setting for touch sensitivity once fitting a temper glass protector.
Just go it delivered today, replacing my Mi9t Pro after 4.5 years. for close under 300$ the Pixel 6a is amazingly good for it's price in 2023 specially if you come from a older device of any brand... I have recently bought 6a and honestly it's the best phone(Android) I've used. 60hz doesn't even matter after using it for like 2 days. The fingerprint scanner is good, not as online reviews say. Camara I don't have to say anything about that just amazing. When it comes to battery performance it's decent but not for heavy gamers and it charges fast as well in 30 min it charges up to 60%. Honestly guys this is the phone I always wanted. There are so many negative reviews abt it and I don't experience any of them on my 6a. You'll experience how a true Android phone should look like.
Right away though, with a 5 year support life on these phones, the 12 MP camera has had years to refine so for now it looks great. Meanwhile, the 50 MP camera is new but where all their future focus for software improvement will be going. What I'm saying is that the 6a is 99% refined so even if they gave it attention, there's not a lot of room to polish whereas the new stuff is only like 50% so it has tons of potential to dust the 6a. I understand that futurism can bite you back but in this case I think the odds are in it's favor for success.
Google knocked it out of the park with the 6a. For the price they were selling it for during their November sales they were practically giving them away. 299$ for the tensor processor and the guaranteed software support is so good. Despite the negativity surrounding the tensor platform because of the tendency to run warm, it is still an excellent flagship grade processor.
Totally agree. I ditched apple for the 6A. I took the risk as I purchased on a deal for £285 including the official case and 2 years warranty. It's fantastic. I also have a IP 11 for work, but it's nowhere near as good as the 6A.

Purchased through Google Fi for $199 recently (my Pixel 4 had a motherboard issue and will not power on or charge anymore). I was considering the 7a, but it was out of my budget and I didnt want to finance it. Bought a Qi wireless receiver to mimic the wireless charging feature and it works surprisingly well. The Tensor G1 chip definitely helps make the phone feel smooth/fluid even if its only locked to 60hz (coming from the Pixel 4's 90hz). Overall, it's a really great phone for the price.
Maybe for extra phone pixel 6a works. But not for daily drive especially if you're a hard user like playing games that charging time will kill you. Taking pictures is the main point of that device.
I have only used pixels since the first one and I’ll never use another brand I was checking out the google store for pixel buds and seen the 6a was $150 off so I bought it outright since I was using the 4 XL and was needing a new one anyways. I was going to wait and get the new one when it came out but when I seen the price I couldn’t say no and I’m so excited to receive it!

Just purchased one from target for $299 with 2 year allstate warranty for just $85 dollar due to me having previous generation of Google pixel which I loved so much but one day stopped working all of a sudden the screen went black even tho it was fully charged. insurance covers crack screen,liquid,damage,touch screen,battery,charging port, speaker & sound failures .not a bad deal in my opinion
i work for an internet and mobile company in the denver area, the google pixel 6a is regularly only 199, and regularly given away for free if you port over just a phone number and stick with us for at least 2 years. it's NOT sold for nearly 500 anymore, not even close.
I bought 6A a week ago for 235 euro, new. Holy shit. This is the best phone I have ever had. I used to run Apple/Samsung flagships for years. I am probably gonna stick with Pixel A device for a long time.
$100 for a Pixel 6a on Ebay. Perfect condition locked to T Mobile which is my carrier anyway. Retired my s22 which is supposedly a flagship, but the 6a camera craps on anything Samsung. Plus I love the stock Android and so many other features that Google has that I am never going back to Samsung. Plus I think the 6a takes better pictures than the Pixel 8. Once my contract is over in August, I am selling my s22 and Galaxy watch 4 and going to keep the 6a for as long as it is practical. No need for anything else. Great phone, and for $100, even better.

But after a tons of market research, I got some good accessories that are good at its price segment. 1- Back cover- I'm using a back cover which comes with silicon material integrated with a google logo. This case is also capable of protecting camera and provide you a good grip also power buttons and volume rockers are perfectly working. I got this back cover at 549/- . 2- Tempered Glass, I'm using "Kyosei Tempered glass which comes with Military-Grade Anti-Explosion Edge-to-Edge Coverage Screen Protector Guard" I must say that its perfect with precise bezel with strong quality also come with 3 months warranty . I got this tempered glass at 299/- 3- "Croma 3.5mm to type C connector" I have tried various connector from 29/- to 299/- But If you do want to extend it's life, you can use the spiral wire protectors available online. IMO, I'd rather buy "Croma 3.55 mm to type C connector" than have to buy the local connector 29-249 rupee counterpart every two months. Great investment even as a backup even if you primarily use wireless headphones with your phone. @@Himanshh_29 I'd suggest you to go with the Pixel 6A. This is the best phone that exists in the market under 30K. Talking in terms of design then I'd give 4/5 in the ram management system. Also the camera provides you another reason to consider this phone. Also it has 5 years of software updates. Everything that exists in this universe has some cons. Same with this Pixel 6A. Fingerprint would be an issue but these days I'm getting better accuracy after the last update. Coming to battery backup, I'd say it has an average battery backup. Like you have to charge two times in a day. Basically it depends on your application and use. Use can boost your battery backup by using a feature called "Pause app". If you have any doubt then let me know. I wish I could provide you with more insight but these days I'm occupied with some projects. So, I won't be able to elaborate in details. But trust me the Pixel issues 6A is worth it every single amount you're investing.
Orrr, now hear me out..... You could transfer some photos/video to a hard drive/ SSD instead of storing them all on your phone 😊 That way, if your phone is ever damaged/lost/stolen, you don't lose all your important photos! Oh, and I forgot to mention that it's cheaper or on par with a storage increase cost on a phone.
I just bought mine for 346€ 2 days ago And I'm really happy with it. Kamera is amazing. It's fast as fuck boiii. Bought it mostly for good integration with Google home which I can't say much about so far but it works better than my old phone already
I'm gonna pick up this phone. I don't mind 60hz, higher refresh rate on phones are overrated anyway. I had a razer phone 2 and hardly any use of the 120hz screen.
I bought a 6a for 349 euros this black Friday sale. And it's cameras just can't go wrong. If you're a gamer then I highly recommend to not go for a pixel device.
The camera is the best part of this phone, the pure OS is another selling point, the size of the phone is smaller than 6/7, and the worst part is the slow charging speed and no wireless charging support.

Not like the iPhone smoothy 60Hz.. but it's close.i have been using the 6a and its quite smooth tbh.. been using multiple android devices in the past that are 60Hz, but nothing came close in terms of smoothness to pixel 6a. Back to the comparison, Vs the iphone 60hz, I can say in terms of speed, the Pixel 6a's 60hz is a bit faster in animation Vs the iPhones 60hz but iPhone is a tiny bit smoother. you won't notice it unless u have both phones side by side. In android world, no phones running the 60hz display that can beat the smoothness of pixel 60Hz phones.

If we open camera, then mobile application freeze and mobile gets restart. Can't record the vedio more than 2 mins. Because mobile gets heat and stucks and restart.
The lowest I have seen it here in europe was 290€ for a refurbished phone. Otherwise it is a bit higher than 300€. The google store sells it for 459€ though.
I find it to be an ugly phone, but I liked the experience the Pixel 5a gave me, so it's a bit tempting, since the price is ok. But since Pixel 5a had an extremely sensible display (lots of people broke it from the smallest shocks, including me), I'm affraid to buy another Google phone again. Mine was in the sturdiest case that I found, had a glass screen protector, and a small fall from the bed (not on a hard surface) was fatal to the screen.

@@Himanshh_29 I'd suggest you to go with the Pixel 6A. This is the best phone that exists in the market under 30K. Talking in terms of design then I'd give 4/5 in the ram management system. Also the camera provides you another reason to consider this phone. Also it has 5 years of software updates.
Everything that exists in this universe has some cons. Same with this Pixel 6A. Fingerprint would be an issue but these days I'm getting better accuracy after the last update. Coming to battery backup, I'd say it has an average battery backup. Like you have to charge two times in a day. Basically it depends on your application and use. Use can boost your battery backup by using a feature called "Pause app".
If you have any doubt then let me know. I wish I could provide you with more insight but these days I'm occupied with some projects. So, I won't be able to elaborate in details. But trust me the Pixel issues 6A is worth it every single amount you're investing.

That way, if your phone is ever damaged/lost/stolen, you don't lose all your important photos!

Using it as a secondary phone is fine but I highly doubt you can use it as your main one. The battery life is subpar and it cannot last for long

Not like the iPhone smoothy 60Hz.. but it's close.i have been using the 6a and its quite smooth tbh.. been using multiple android devices in the past that are 60Hz, but nothing came close in terms of smoothness to pixel 6a. Back to the comparison, Vs the iphone 60hz, I can say in terms of speed, the Pixel 6a's 60hz is a bit faster in animation Vs the iPhones 60hz but iPhone is a tiny bit smoother. you won't notice it unless u have both phones side by side. In android world, no phones running the 60hz display that can beat the smoothness of pixel 60Hz phones.

I find it to be an ugly phone, but I liked the experience the Pixel 5a gave me, so it's a bit tempting, since the price is ok. But since Pixel 5a had an extremely sensible display (lots of people broke it from the smallest shocks, including me), I'm affraid to buy another Google phone again. Mine was in the sturdiest case that I found, had a glass screen protector, and a small fall from the bed (not on a hard surface) was fatal to the screen.
