Came back to watch this after a few years. One of my favorite games. +This shows the difference between Autobots and Decepticons. Metroplex had a choice, and he chose to sacrifice himself so the remaining Autobots could escape Cybertron. Freedom is the right of all sentient beings.-Optimus Prime
Wesley Scott that’s why we won that war right the decepticons won on cybertron however the space battle was a stale mate and the reason trypticon didn’t have any freedom as u say because he respected megatron he was his greatest weapon he had the most important job however he failed he let a few Autobot a board his station and nearly ruin him megatron punished him by making him The nemesis because he failed to destroy Optimus and he did that to remind the decepticons that megatron isn’t gonna tolerate failure and it’s to boost morale in a tough way like if u don’t want to end up like him someone better deliver me some Autobot deaths

For those who know he’s probably not dead, this still counts as a heroic and tragic sacrifice. Because Optimus, The Autobots, even Metroplex thought he was going to die.

I know bro. Seeing that the first time I played it back in July 2019 made me really sad. I saw Metroplex as a cool city size Autobot that really helped turn the tide of the war for the Autobots in the early part of the game, giving the Autobots time to prepare to leave Cybertron. Then after clearing the dinobots mission, seeing the cutscene that we all are sad about to this day. Metroplex's sacrifice will never be forgotten.

This explains the difference of autobots and decepticons, metroplex sacrifices himself while trypticon was forced to sacrifice himself leaving him no choice
I cried when watching this video and optimus prime tells metroplex that his sacrifice will not be forgotten and metroplex says til all are one before he died
It was already lost. Primus has told himself to Optimus, that the dark energon has poisoned him, and the only way he can save himself is by going into the deep stasis, leaving Cybertron cold and lifeless. That is why he gave Optimus a portion of his own spark: the Matrix of Leadership, so Optimus would guard his life essense. In other words, the Autobots has won the battle, but the war for Cybertron was lost. Metroplex knew, the Autobots couldn't take him with the Ark because of his size, that is why he chose the ultimate sacrifice: transfering what's left of his own energy into the Ark, therefore the Autobots will be saved. This sacrifice would be done by any Autobot, Prime or no Prime.
сергей Курмыза wait wasn’t fortress Maximus in the G1 Cartoons? If so he would be the same size as metroplex in WOC And FOC, so maybe Metroplex could do the same as fortress Maximus did
Strategically it would have been disastrous for the autobots. Since the deception warp cannon bought him down for a time. Concentrated fire would have destroyed him and the autobots would have been overstretched by their success and thousands of autobots would have died in the retreat as well as shockwaves insecticons being unleashed to cut off retreating autobots. That would have cost them the war.
It's quite sad to see that the strongest and biggest autobot has decided to sacrifice himself for the better, If it wasn't for him, Optimus and the Autobots wouldn't be able to get to earth, All they can rely on now is Omega Supreme. This is yet different than the decepticon campaign, Trypticon didn't sacrificed himself for Megatron, but he was betrayed by Megatron himself, which makes it sad and cruel at the same time. Both Titans have yet fallen, well not really for Trypticon, he's just turned into nemesis, but how that both of them have fallen is quite sad
hmm technically couldn't Metroplex still be alive? he wasn't grievously injured and his spark wasn't extinguished (at least it isnt specifically mentioned that ones spark is extinguished through lack of energon), he could of just entered a form of stasis lock because of his lack of energon.

He went into stasis and is severely low on energon to move so basically hes still alive its just dust, debris, weather, and corrosion have made him look beat up and worn. Metroplex is alive but in stasis until he gets his supply of energon.
Till all are one! I looked up what it meant since the saying comes up so often I never gave it thought until metroplex said it until the day autobots and Decepticons are one or one when the war is over and their doesn’t have to be sides. Such powerful sentence from few little words
Brilliant. Metroplex was always depicted as Earth's Guardian as there was no ship big enough to transport him coupled with his lack of a flight mode. I was iffy about him being on Cybertron pre-Ark launch but it is used to the same effect. He can't go with them anyway and what is there to stay for on Cybertron after the Ark launches? Top stuff! Nothing bad to say about it.

And as all the transformers leave cybertron, it becomes abandoned, and slowly the planet starts to rust, and break down during cybertron’s Cleansing, metroplex is also effected and he starts to rust as well to the point his joints on his body start to break and fall off
I see everyone still questioning if Metroplex is dead or not, but let's be real, he may as well be dead. Even if he's in stasis, that is in essence a Coma. He's not gonna just wake up on his own, he's stuck in this eternal slumber, his spark not returning to the Allspark and being at peace. He's in essence an eternal slumber, basically dead. He could potentially be revived, but not only would that require a stupid amount of energon to do, but the Autobots HAVE NO PLAN TO COME BACK. They don't know if they'll ever return to Cybertron and fix things up. They don't know if they're going to win the war in the long run. All they know is Cybertron has fallen, and they need to hide from the Decepticons. There is no plan to come back for Metroplex. Metroplex knows this, and chooses still to make this sacrifice so that the others have a chance of living. This sacrifice isn't overshadowed by the fact that he could return in the future, because for all intent and purpose, he's gone.
Cybertron’s not getting restored for a LONG time. By the time Metroplex went into stasis, there was still MILLIONS of years of waiting for Primus to rid himself of the Dark Energon that corrupted him
Teros haven’t they brought metroplex back from the dead before?I mean yeah a millions of years with no life can affect him but they brought him back to life before.
Teros well didn’t they have a rust epidemic in the space colonies? With cybortron with no energon,I don’t think metroplex will survive the millions of years till Cybortron is able to restart
Megatron had already that ship planned in Trypticon in case things went south, Optimus more or less found Metroplex by following his matrix, there were no time to rebuild Metroplex when the ark was almost done and not enough energon to try in the 1st place
I played when I was 17, my interest in Transformers resurfaced back then, thanks to AoE and I found out about this game. rust is a problem and transformers are more the just machines, if his spark died threw lack of energon they wouldn‘t be able to bring him back.
Maybe still, I don't think it will be possible until the war is over. Since before that the decepticons will prevent such efforts.
Teros well didn’t they have a rust epidemic in the space colonies? With cybortron with no energon,I don’t think metroplex will survive the millions of years till Cybortron is able to restart
This moment, and green mile man...
Seriously, I was crying my first play through...
Rip Metroplex Till all are one my friend
He didn’t die. he just froze because of energon loss.
Exactly I guess they didn't watch season 3 of g1
@@drew4564 not the same continuity
TILL ALL ARE ONE, METROPLEX
When they find metroplex: hell yeah we got a fighting chance
When he makes the choice: Shit and I was just celebrating about the victory
Metroplex might be gone physically, drained to fuel the Ark. But so long as the Ark is alive, so is Metroplex's spirit inside it. 'Til All Are One!
Metroplex isn’t dead, just out of energon. When Primus is healed someone just needs to pump him full of energon and he’s good as new.
;(
Personally I like to believe that they could power him back up again and "revive" him that way
Wars are won by those willing to sacrifice everything to ensure victory. - Kratos
Rest in peace, Metroplex...
😢😭
'Till all are one.
I could never understand why they didn't transform him into a ship, like what megatron did, he would have been a battle ship then
Megatron had already that ship planned in Trypticon in case things went south, Optimus more or less found Metroplex by following his matrix, there were no time to rebuild Metroplex when the ark was almost done and not enough energon to try in the 1st place
When I was playing this game, I cried so hard on this part rest in peace metroplex
Your sacrifice will not be forgotten my old friend metroplex...
metroplex es mi Titan favorito y jamás será olvidado 😭😭😭😭😭
till all are one
This is like Noble 6 "Lone Wolf" in the final moments of Halo: Reach
0:49;OUR CHOICES DEFINE WHO WE ARE,NOT OUR POWER.METROPLEX MADE HIS CHOICE.
Okay maybe if you're a human But a walking city? Come on
☹🙁😡😠😭😭😭😭😭😢😢😢😢😢😢😠 Megatron will pay
Till All Are One Metroplex. You may now rest in the Allspark
Till are one...
We will Unite Till all are One
You're sacrifice will not be forgotten... till all are one...
Till All are one
Thats so sad...( Metroplex voice is showing us how hard it was for him to choose this way....
But later Autobots revive Metroplex in G1 animation
Rest In Peace metroplex, the walking city
Surprised how Grimlock survived that
I played when I was 17, my interest in Transformers resurfaced back then, thanks to AoE and I found out about this game. Understanding that the game is quite serious in its tone, still, when Metroplex sacrificed himself and the final “Till all are one” - I think I shed a few tears. The character was in the game for less than an hour and left such an impact afterwards…
It´s called having empathy for great storytelling. Not everything has a relation to sex you know. I know you were just trying to be funny, but belive me, you weren´t
arcenstone who are you talking to
@@sebas6191 I think he's talked about Michael Bay
Metroplex heeds the call of the last prime
He's only in sleep stasis
But he can be revived if you refuel his spark
His sacrifice saved countless cybertronian lives, so he will never be forgotten, till all are one
