Hi everyone, this is Michael Dobson the voice of Armada Starscream. I am humbled by all your kind words regarding one of my all time favourite characters that I had the honour to perform. My sincere heartfelt thanks to you all, I’m so proud of this scene and the work all my fellow colleagues put into this amazing series. Thank You 💫 #starscream #transformersarmada
It was always those final words that Galvatron remembers that stuck with me the most. "I tried to gain favor from you, but nothing was ever good enough. No matter how many battles I fought, you always found fault! Then I saw how Optimus treated his men, and I realized he was a leader of integrity. Unlike you..." Those words stuck with me for a long time, and I found myself thinking about them the other day as I was putting on my uniform for the army. A leader of integrity who recognizes those under his command. That's something I aspire to be now.
MegaBrokenstar I guess i can see that but i prefer to think of it as him forcefully ejecting Swindle to save him. I mean hes already gone this far to save everyone else so why would he allow his own Minicon to die? Plus its one final act of heroism that really sets this incarnation of Starscream apart, at least imo.
+XanderNintendofan1993 Look like Japanese really love Starcream, in trio anime-coop The Unicron Trilogy: Armada, Energon and Cybertron. Starcream was introduce as a badass warrior in those.
Fun fact: Starscream planned on his death at Unircron's hands in order to finally drill into Galvatron's stubborn head that Unicron was a real and present threat.
+Yoko Nenshou Yeah. Through the whole fight though Galvatron simply refused to actually kill starscream. Hes not a bad leader so much as a misguided one. Galvatron WAS fighting to be leader of the transformers because he felt Optimus was too weak to lead them and lacked the ability to make hard choices.
MrSailing101 Yeah. Armada Starscream is easily my favorite version out of all of them. And it shows how Galvatron isnt evil at this point because one of his longest serving and most loyal soldiers died in front of him and he immediatley surrendered to Optimus to team up. The fight that happens later also proves that hes not evil
I think it's funny to ever pair "Loyal" and "Starscream" in one sentence. Nearly every incarnation of Starscream (except this one) had Chronic Backstabbing Disorder and Megatron kept him around because he was a coward but a useful coward, who had genuine moments of badassness which would quickly be overshadowed. He's like a slightly more useful Krillin.
When Prime says "he fought like a brave soldier to the end"....that's what Starscream always needed. Not attention like a tantrum throwing child, but recognition, and even friendship. Odd and respectful that he got it from Prime...especially after telling Galvatron that he saw how Optimus treated his side. Maybe the storyline someday could have a Jetfire/Skyfire type arc where he joins them. Imagine that.....
And galvatron changed his opinion on starscream as well, he basically told the other decepticons to not disrespect starscream after he died and called him a true soldier
He didn't attacked Unicron, because he was an idiot or something. He attacked Unicron, because he wanted to show Galvatron what happens if he won't join forces with Optimus.
Considering he ejected swindle I think he knew that his attack would never even reach unicron so he gave his life to finally show galvatron how dangerous unicron really was.
"I tried to gain favor from you, but nothing was every good enough. Now matter how many battles I fought, you always found fault. Then I saw how Optimus treated his men and I realized he was a leader of integrity ...unlike you..."
Prime's version has more personality, is more interesting and also more faithful to how Starsream is actually supposed to be. Though this depiction isn't bad at all, in the end it's a Japanese anime stereotype from head to toe.
Zanji Suzunami A powerful warrior who sides with the bad guys at first, but eventually sees the error in his ways and pays the ultimate sacrifice in order to save the world.
But I look at the character developement and depth. Sure, I really like Prime Starscream, but he lacked depth. Character development was a cycle of him bouncing from the Decepticons and back and trying to take over Megatron. A lot of character events, but hardly any character change. This Starscream, however, did look like the stereotypical Starscream in the beginning, but has had struggles of morals, self-esteem, and acceptance. Something that can make a viewer sympathize with him and watch the character grow and change. What pisses me off about the other Starscream's is the lack of utter character development. Often, he just becomes mostly comedy relief (animated) or any meager development that has been created is just whisked away (I mean, did you see the way he just dies in the original movie??!). Though Starscream might be the embodiment of a stereotype, I feel like it gave him a depth that other Starscream's lack. To me, this Starscream is the transformer's version of Zuko. (Sorry for the rant, but I'm passionate.)
Nicole Zhang Prime's Starscream may have lacked other things, but depth is absolutely not one of them. The problem is you're mistaking shallowness for faithfulness to the original character. Prime's Starscream is a conniver, a coward and a traitor, like the original Starscream is supposed to be. He starts the show as the leader, intends to terminate Megatron to keep his post, tries to control dark energon for himself, is eventually punished and forced into exile, attempts to force his way in again and manages to make a deal with them, and in the end he actually becomes loyal to Megatron after being saved from Dreadwing. In addition, he offers comical moments alongside Knockout. This Starscream has a better personality, a better design and a better voice than Armada's who, despite how different he is in his own lore, is still a completely predictable anime stereotype. That alone doesn't make a character deep. And Zuko's actually a more refined and well driven case of this stereotype. He has a greater backstory, and overall the character is just more interesting.
Even years later, this clip is still gold. Starscream trying to get through to galvatron. Galvatron trying time and time again to get Starscream to just back down. Starscream's final speach about leadership. So good
Who would've thought Starscream's final moment would be so legendary that Galvatron acknowledged him as a true soldier and Alexis sheds tears for him in the end.
It's so tragic... She loved him and he will never remember her and the others... The second series could have been a masterpiece if Alexis and the others, slowly make starscream the person he was in armada
@@giuliadei03 Agreed, since that Starscream was revived without his memories, would've been great to see him slowly regain his lost memories and become the Starscream we all knew and loved.
I just realized one extra tragic part about Starscream's sacrifice: he'd never know if his sacrifice actually meant something. He gambled his own life to convince Galvatron that Unicron was a threat, without even knowing if it would work. For all intents and purposes, Galvatron could have stubbornly ignored what happened and continued to wage the war, and the Autobots likely would have failed to stop Unicron from fully reviving.
"There are so many stories where some brave hero decides to give their life to save the day, and because of their sacrifice, the good guys win, the survivors all cheer, and everybody lives happily ever after. But the hero... never gets to see that ending. They'll never know if their sacrifice actually made a difference. They'll never know if the day was really saved. In the end...they just have to have faith." --Church, Red vs Blue
I just realized something after watching this again, Galvatron doesn't seem like he really wants to kill Starscream. He keeps offering him chances to just back off. For as much as he disses Starscream, Galvatron seems to actually care about him quite a bit. Him being harder on him than on the other Decepticons I think is his way of showing that he respects him.
edward18517 I see kind of a father and son relationship between them in a way. He was just being an ass but secretly wanted the best for Starscream and while Starscream was being a bit of a kiss ass, he just wanted Galvatron's respect.
edward18517 that is true. in the next episode i remember the other decepticons insulted his death and thought about continue to fight the autobots till a pissed off Galvatron punched one of them and tells them that even though everything that Starscream has done he was a true soldier to the end unlike the rest of them. prob one of fave scene next to this one.
Yeah but then in episode 51 when Optimus and Galvatron are about to start their final fight in armada Alexis says what did Starscream die for if they were just going to fight again and Galvatron replied because Starscream was a worthless fool
Yeah but then in episode 51 when Optimus and Galvatron are about to start their final fight in armada Alexis says what did Starscream die for if they were just going to fight again and Galvatron replied because Starscream was a worthless fool
And that is why he is my favorite incarnation of Starscream! Starts off like any typical villain, but is revealed to have struggles of self-esteem and moral conflict as the show progresses, joins and leaves the good side, and ultimately ignores such divides for the sake of the greater good! Such a step up form the usual sniveling coward! Though I must say, IDW Starscream is another one I really like.
Eugene Lau Antiheroes are always the ones with the most complex stuff with them! (I mean, I consider Starscream one.... kinda... ok maybe not really but he really does tow the good/evil line)
Nobody gives idw starscream credit he was loyal to megaton the entire time when megatron was destroyed starscream took command by normal means but no matter what he tried he couldn’t get respect or anyone to listen to him not with fear, not with respect, the decepticons cannibalized eachother so starscream became depressed and megatron when he was revived who starscream had saved a issue before beat up starscream physically and mentally starscream just wanted megatron just to kill him. did I mention most of this came from one comic
@@Yolobro2 not a fan of that version. Just depressing & takes Starscream down a dark path. He's too prideful to be someone's bitch, which is why Armada Starscream set the tone of what Starscream is supposed to be. A young, eager but prideful warrior who kept his loyalty to Megatron for so long until he found out about Megatron's plan to destroy him & finally *stood up* for himself. I think IDW made multiple issues on Transformers but the one with Windblade & Starscream being ruler of Cybertron was dope though
Yes armada starscream is one of the best starscreams I just prefer IDW starscream especially when he was ruler of cybertron because he finally realized the error of his ways or whatever but I just feel bad for Megatron Spotlight Starscream
The Unicron Trilogy Starscream is easily the best Starscream. Armada: Honorable warrior with a tragically heroic death. Energon: We don’t speak of that series Cybertron: Threatening badass who GAINED THE POWER TO CHALLENGE A GOD.
Armada Starscream will always be the best version. He was an hounerable warrior, a soldier with heart. He only wanted to please his commander, and be a good warrior. You can tell when they plotted to destroy him, and left him to be destroyed how hurt he was. To be betrayed by those he swore allegiance to, man... But the part i liked most, was after this, when Cyclonus mocked his sacrifice, the anger Galvatron showed towards Cyclonus. Galvatron realised just what Starscream did, and honoured his sacrifice, even leaving his sword where it stood in tribute. Armada was an amazing show, full of some really great character development.
And it is a very nice attempt of giving Starscream some backbone and character development, compared to the original bratty and bland version of the character, but it ultimately fails to actually represent who Starscream is supposed to be (though it doesn't really try to), not to mention it's a complete stereotype of a "Japanese honourable warrior who becomes good and sacrifices himself to save the world and so on".
The most memorable scene that will never be replicated even by Michael Bay's live Transformers movies. When Starscream defiantly and bravely yells 'IT'S TIME TO FINISH THIS ONCE AND FOR ALL, ACTIVATE PROTON CANNONS, YOU'RE ALL MINE UNICRON!!! He goes out with guns blazing in the ultimate blaze of glory. That's a true and honorable warrior and soldier. Salutation to Starscream.
Everybody that watches the scene in the video where he goes out guns blazing, salute him on that scene. He's a true hero. #MakeStarscreamanAutobotinthenextTransformersseries.
Well yeah, of course it won't be repeated by Michael Bay's Transformers movies, aside from the 1st those were terrible and you could barely tell any Decepticon apart, never mind most Autobots
One little detail I've never seen anyone mention in this fight is that, Megatron/Galvatron is using the Star Saber, a mythical weapon said to cut through almost anything... And Starscream fought a duel against this legendary, incredibly powerful weapon with his own wing sword. Think that one over.
Not only that, he would've won if he hadn't deactivated his sword at the last second. He was quicker in the final exchange and could have beheaded Galvataron.
@@SnakeEater776 True, but you could also chalk that up to the three Minicons making up the weapon being very attached to Starscream, and the blade not being held by Galvatron at that point. Maybe they powered down in their friend's hands.
Out of all the other Star-screams of the past that were cowards and manipulators but this one was an honorable, brave and loyal soldier who lived a soldier and died a hero. Not only that, he shouted his words towards Unicron as a way showing his defiance against tyrants and shows the Autobots and Decepticons that they must work together to topple this tyrant and bravely stared at the face of death himself. We miss you Armada Star-scream, you deserve followers and a statue with your strong sword to be remembered forever.
The thing that really pissed me off is the fact that they brought him back in Energon just to make him evil again. They gave him so much character development and emotion in this show and I was sad to see him die. By far they best version of Starscream.
The truth is that Starscream did try to remember what happened to him and he does have glimpses of this moment and moments before that, but the grip Megatron and Unicron had on his mind was too powerful, it is a shame though Starscream was never able to remember but at least his death here paved the way to peace for a while.
+Chris Joseph the reason they brought him back because of his name if they never used him and energon and cybertron we would of never saw starscream again this is my fav version and it is sad they brought him back evil
The real reason why he loses that development? In Japan where the Unicron Trilogy shows originated, each show was completely separate, but in the localization and dubbing process, Hasbro decided to make it so that Energon was a sequel to Armada, and Cybertron to Energon. Therefore Energon's version to Starscream is not ACTUALLY supposed to be Armada Starscream, but the dub writing forces it to be so
To be honest, I dont think Galvatron was actually gonna kill Starscream at all.....but Starscream let himself be fatally wounded because it was the only way to make Galvatron understand
Jericho Strayker that's why galvatron was shocked that starscream let him stab him. He expected starscream to dodge but starscream purposely took the hit.
Considering he made repeated offers for Starscream to just back down and go away, a sign of mercy I don't believe we've ever seen from him before that, you're probably on to somethig.
David Kaye is a fan of transformers so he really enjoys his work Kate is like the dude who will sit in with the crowd and will ask ciullen .and Welker about how they feel about beast wars
My favourite part of this episode was that during Unicrons attack, Starscream ejected Swindle. Considering how much Starscream cares about his Minicon, it’s sweet to see that in his final moments his last thought is to make sure one of his friends didn’t have to go down with him…
He initially fought for conquest, but then he fights for the future and ultimate peace between the Autobots and Decepticons. A pure demonstration of exceptional courage and selflessness.
Even after all these years, this scene still hits my feels hard. How we saw the evolution of Armada Starscream's character development. How he went from being a mere soldier, to a key figure that prompted the Autobots and Decepticons to join forces against the greatest threat to the universe. How he had formed bonds with a few characters, even with the humans. He lived his life as a warrior, and died a hero. (At least until Energon, but we don't talk about Energon here.)
It's such a mesmerizing scene. His cry of "You're all mine Unicron!", to his cries of pain as he's being turned to ash. The struggle he has at pulling the sword from his chest, and the realization of what he must do. I'm sad we don't get more Anti-Hero Starscream, but in a way, it helps us see how amazing this Starscream is.
This is what I remember Armada for. To this day, Starscream's startlingly heroic death in Armada is probably one of the coolest moments in all of Transformers, despite the show being poorly written and badly animated most of the time (at least in America)
+SkyFire7557 Yeah. When I saw Armada I was already in my 20s and I didn't see the Unicron episodes until waaaay later. I can see why people like it so much despite the flaws. Armada Starscream got a re-release!
I was 8 years old when I watched this scene.. 18 years later, tears still come out of my eyes. Armada was my first introduction to The Transformers franchise, and therefore will forever be in my childhood heart.
Lived life a villian, went out to be a hero. He was a coward but you have to give Starscream props here. He knew he was gonna die but he wanted to prove he wasnt weak to Galvatron and prove he wanted to be a hero for Optimus when he had to show his true colors.
Starscream was never a coward in Armada, he was a brave, valiant & honorable soldier who was respected amongst most. It's why Optimus, Megatron & the kids felt sadness when he died. And his death was catalytic in the *RARE* truce of the Autobots & Decepticons to bring down a common enemy.
The Starscream of Armada was anything but a coward. This version of him was a soldier that desired for nothing but to be a good soldier and was spat on, betrayed, and punished for his loyalty. Mocked for his integrity. When he does betray, its completely justifiable and even honorable as he saves lives. It's why when he finally dies, it's not seen as the death of a coward and a traitor, but of a hero and warrior. Humans and Cybertronians alike grieved his death because he was nobler than he ever had to be, kinder than he should have been, and better than what Galvatron deserved. And Galvatron knew it. A Decepticon with an Autobot's honor.
@@Hot293wildcat I'm STILL crying, ffs. There is something that hits home seriously hard with him pulling out the sword with all his strength left, activating the proton cannon and ejecting Swindle so he can survive.
I only watched Armada, Energon and Cybertron and because I watched Armada first, I really liked Starscream's character development and loved it even more in Cybertron. Energon's Starscream made me so confused though, at that time I didn't know he was always a jackass in almost every incarnation.
ARMADA Starscream will always stay loyal for Galvatron and that little speech made me cry when I watched it Rest In Peace Starscream We'll miss you in the Hall of All Sparks
Dank Starscream starscream in armada reminds me of jetfire in rotf when he was originally a decepticon and then helped the autobots....... wait a second.......... what if starscream took out his spark and Optimus has starscream armor instead of jetfire armor in rotf?! *O M G !*
Every time I see this and it gets to the part where he's shouting "activate proton cannons!" I start tearing up, he knows it ls over and thats all he can do. He put his soul into that attack.
The end of the Armada series was sick, with a very strong story. Minicons causing the war so Unicron could feed the hate of the Autobots and Decepticons, then the hint of fate with High Wire. As a child, this moment made me fall in love with Transformers and have been obssessed with all things Cybertron ever since.
ikr..........that moment when he explains all he wanted was Megatron's approval of his skills..... and then how he ejects Swindle so that he wont get fried by Unicron along with him....... DAMN YOU ONION CHOPPING NINJAS.........
I never imagined that Mega/Galvatron would have such deep anguish in his voice for the likes of Starscream. For only just this moment, I feel that Galvatron did feel a great deal of regret after Starscream's death.
Starscream even though you were a Decepticon, and your traits of being a, coward, suck up, liar, and a maniac, no offense, but your rebellious side made you a true Autobot, when Thrust planned to use you as a diversion to get the Requiem Blaster you saw the Truth that Megatron uses his Decepticons as expendable minions but those close to him live. As A solider under Optimus Prime's command you found out that he leaves no man behind. And your brave sacrifice for your home, your people and the Galaxy will not be forgotten. Rest in Peace. TIL ALL ARE ONE!
I think the saddest part of this death scene is that the last thing Starscream does is try with all his spark to destroy Unicron and his attack never even hit Unicron.
In the whole armada serie, the only thing Starscream ever wanted was to be acknowledge by Megatron and gained his respect. But when Galvatron said to him that he was to weak to ever gain his respect, I think Starscream got tired of living, and even if he knew that he could never destroy Unicron with one attack, he just tried to serve his leader one last time by sacrificing himself.
Starscream's always been my favorite in any continuity (well, except for ROTF and DOTM, in which they fucked him up badly and his death was IMO the worst death you could give to any character). Unicron Trilogy Starscream is my favorite out of all of them. Michael Dobson was a tremendous voice for him and he was a badass in combat.
+PFM719 He is a none character in the Bayformers movies. The only movie where I actually remember him doing things was the first one. And they fucked his head up too, he just looks like Megatron but smaller
I would kill to see a multiverse Transformers cartoon series that focused on a team consisting of Armada Starscream, Beast Wars Dinobot, Prime Arcee, and Animated Prowl all being led by Rodimus Prime.
ah that would be interesting, but go ahead and throw Prime Megatron into the mix as a fellow fan said Prime Megatron and Armada Starscream will either be best friends or bitter enemies
MegaManDBZX So we Have Rodimus Prime ( G1 Starscream and Swindle (Armada Dinobot (beast wars Arcee (Prime Crosshairs (AOE Prowl (Animated What about Car Robots/Rid 2001
...Despite everything, Galvatron continued to refer to Starscream as a soldier, no matter what came with it, he was still a soldier to him. His soldier, constantly giving him chances and refusing to cut him down with conviction. Aside from constantly calling him a fool, coward or weak, he was still spared and at some extent even a father of a foolish son.
When Galvatron thought about what Starscream said to him. It made it a lot sadder for me. Part of the reason why this is personally my favorite incarnation of Starscream.
This Starscream died fighting not for the Autobots, not for the Decepticons, but for ALL of Cybertron. This is why Armada Starscream is the superior Starscream.
Seen this scene several times. And only just got that it was a slight homage to Starscream's death in G1 Unicron kills Starscream here by disintegration. Unicron makes Galvatron in G1 and Galvatron destroys Starscream by disintergration
I loved this cartoon so much. Next to the original Starscream from G1,this incarnation comes very close. I remember watching this at a very young age and thinking how profound it got at moments
I loved Starscream so much, standing against a litteral Transformers God without any fear of him neither his imminent death. The greatest Starscream and Transformer i've ever seen in my life. I cried at this scene when i was a kid.. And Megatron's character was great too in Armada, he was powerful and crual, Yet did really cared so much about Starscream in the show, this made me feel bad for him. They seemed being old wars-comrades and friends but in conflict each other for a long time.. Armada was very tragic.
Starscream shouting as he fires the Proton Cannon and also when he gets hit by Unicron, that's deep. That's honestly some epic voice acting we all know it. It's sad but you know he's suffering in pain in that scream.
2019. Still chills. One of the top all time deaths in a cartoon. And while I love G1 one as well, this Starscream is thr best. A lengthy full arc redemption.
This Transformers universe is very much different from any other, with a very different Starscream. This Starscream was more badass then any other, and follow the path of the warrior. Even more of a twist this Starscream even becomes an Autobot for the time being. Crazy right?
Starscream in this series was the original Prince Zuko, albeit without a happy end. Rather than having the typical boss/servant relationship, his dynamic with Megatron/Galvatron is that of a son trying to earn the approval of his abusive father figure. He nearly joins the heroes, but his selfish desires win out and he rejoins the villains. But in the end, Starscream calls out his leader for his failures and does the right thing. Ironically, in death, Starscream finally earned Galvatron's respect.
Hands down-the best version Starscream ever!! The Unicron trilogy may not be the best thing about Transformers but I really love Armada for what it did to the characters. They were soldiers-loyal to their cause and very different from their original self. The deaths in this show were very sad and mattered even if the roboots were later resurrected(Optimus).Yeah,Energon may have ruined the story for many people but I like to see Armada as its own thing and I respect the writers very much for such good character development thru out the series. RIP Armada Starscream. You made my childhood awesome.
SuperNitro Nick it's named Robots in Disguise, and it featured Bumblebee leading a team of young autobots on earth against a new decepticon faction: there will be 4 new autobots characters who are Sideswipe, a minicon, an elite guard member, and a dinobot.
Such is the fate of those who followed the ways of power, fearfulness, and destruction. Once one realizes the truth, about how much blood was shed with one’s own hands, and how there were always better ways put in place, isn’t the universe at least righteous in giving the courage to admit when one did wrong? In this case, isn’t the memory of going out with honor comforting to someone whose whole life was misled?
Starscream not only grew a spine, he actually had some common sense. He knew Unicron was the bigger threat, and he tried to force Galvatron to see that by fighting him. I never thought I'd say it, but Starscream has my full and complete admiration.
This proves what so many just don't understand about the character: that Starscream's personality is such much more nuanced. He can be a villain, a soldier, a coward, a hero, even a lover; unlike Prime and Megs, Screamer can be whatever he wants.
There are so many stories where some brave hero decides to give their life to save the day, and because of their sacrifice, the good guys win, the survivors all cheer, and everybody lives happily ever after. But the hero... never gets to see that ending. They'll never know if their sacrifice actually made a difference. They'll never know if the day was really saved. In the end, they just have to have faith. Ain't that a bitch.
Starscream is the best transformers charater ever for me and to see him die makes me cry I saw this vid as a kid and I cry for hours cause of starscreams death r.i.p. Starscream a noble solider
I missed out on armada and finally gave it a watch....my god.....I can see why people had said this was one of the best Transformer series. Cybertron was where i started and I kept going but didn't look at the previous ones, but now I have new respect for Starscream, THIS version of him. Noble, a fighter and someone who was evil but just wanted respect.
No way…
You’re a true hero!! ❤️
You did great as Starscream my friend. Wish you could come back as him in a future Transformers series.
It was always those final words that Galvatron remembers that stuck with me the most. "I tried to gain favor from you, but nothing was ever good enough. No matter how many battles I fought, you always found fault! Then I saw how Optimus treated his men, and I realized he was a leader of integrity. Unlike you..."
Those words stuck with me for a long time, and I found myself thinking about them the other day as I was putting on my uniform for the army. A leader of integrity who recognizes those under his command. That's something I aspire to be now.
Awsome
I like how Starscream already knew he wasn't going to survive his desperation attack and as a result ejected Swindle to save him.
ikr this starscream was so much more honorable than any other incarnation of him.
I LOVED THIS STARSCREAM..........Torn between honour and duty to Decepticons........
Rosh-EXP not gonna survive don't know bout that
I always figured the force of this blast from his Narrow Laser Cannons was so powerful that Swindle was blown off him by the shockwave
This was a moment of total redemption for Starscream. He probably had the best character development in the series.
Why can't Starscream be a good guy all the time?
@@smt3 ikr
Only other transformer with this redemption is dinobot
@@jerrytorres5771 technically, he was the starscream of the beast wars but had honor as a warrior.
In my opinion this will always be the best Starscream
Starscream in every other series is a slimy irredeemable coward.
Starscream in Armada is an honorable badass warrior who died for what he believed in!
If hasbro didn't go nostalgic aligned starscream would be as bad dad as Amon from avatar.

MrSailing101 Yeah. Armada Starscream is easily my favorite version out of all of them.
Fist-of-doom NOBODY CARES KRILLEN!
He lived a warrior, died a hero...
no... the clone was more quiet...
And Jetfire finally being a triple changer, where he turns into a firetruck but colored like an ambulance vehicle.

He didn't attacked Unicron, because he was an idiot or something. He attacked Unicron, because he wanted to show Galvatron what happens if he won't join forces with Optimus.
Or he noticed Unicron was about to fire on Optimus and Galvatron so he diverted it's attention to himself
@@ideeyes4054 I think you are right as well.
Further proof it was a suicide move is he ejected the minicon as soon as he fired so it wouldn’t die with him

srarscream knows how to throw shade
The best version of Starscream in any series. They don't get harder then this.
Prime's version has more personality, is more interesting and also more faithful to how Starsream is actually supposed to be. Though this depiction isn't bad at all, in the end it's a Japanese anime stereotype from head to toe.
Of what or rather WHICH stereotype aka trope?
That was the old starscream I remember growing up
I just realized one extra tragic part about Starscream's sacrifice: he'd never know if his sacrifice actually meant something. He gambled his own life to convince Galvatron that Unicron was a threat, without even knowing if it would work. For all intents and purposes, Galvatron could have stubbornly ignored what happened and continued to wage the war, and the Autobots likely would have failed to stop Unicron from fully reviving.
He put it all on the line...and it worked
"There are so many stories where some brave hero decides to give their life to save the day, and because of their sacrifice, the good guys win, the survivors all cheer, and everybody lives happily ever after. But the hero... never gets to see that ending. They'll never know if their sacrifice actually made a difference. They'll never know if the day was really saved. In the end...they just have to have faith."

+edward18517 Galvatron is the ultimate Yandere.
I still can't believe it, hardcore Decepticon but died like an Autobot?? This Starscream had more honor than anyone could imagine!!
This is terrific for Starscream!!
Eugene Lau Antiheroes are always the ones with the most complex stuff with them! (I mean, I consider Starscream one.... kinda... ok maybe not really but he really does tow the good/evil line)
That's really surprising to learn!!
Eugene Lau This Starscream looked like G1Thundercracker in colors and personality.
Armada will always hold a special spot in my heart, mainly because Starscream as a badass anti-hero was my *favorite* character from the series.
I think this was everyone's favourite version of him, especially as most others were whiny cowards
@@joelrobinson5457 yup. 🎯👌🏾💯
Energon: We don’t speak of that series
Cybertron: Threatening badass who GAINED THE POWER TO CHALLENGE A GOD.
+SilverHairedFreak25 Cybertron starscream was cool though, I mean, he basically had fight with a planet.

o7 to Starscream
Fought like Dinobot..
Saw this and, was thinking. "Come and, have a go if you think you are hard enough."
Yet he barely does any damage to galvatron at all
Armada Starscream will always be the best version. Armada was an amazing show, full of some really great character development.
indeed, this Starscream is my favorite
And it is a very nice attempt of giving Starscream some backbone and character development, compared to the original bratty and bland version of the character, but it ultimately fails to actually represent who Starscream is supposed to be (though it doesn't really try to), not to mention it's a complete stereotype of a "Japanese honourable warrior who becomes good and sacrifices himself to save the world and so on".
Everyone's entitled to their opinion...I prefer G1 Comic Starscream ultimately.
okay
I actually liked this Starscream as well.
Really hits me hard that his attack didn't even reach unicron

The most memorable scene that will never be replicated even by Michael Bay's live Transformers movies. When Starscream defiantly and bravely yells 'IT'S TIME TO FINISH THIS ONCE AND FOR ALL, ACTIVATE PROTON CANNONS, YOU'RE ALL MINE UNICRON!!! @@PeterHKwok Peter wel the movies did make transfomers far mor popular thsn it hsd even gren in 23 yaerscat that
Point
Michael Bay's CGI is cool. But the script writing is just eh.
Then we find out that neither of them had the intent to actually kill the other.
Very symbolic of the uphill battle he was facing towards the end of the series
My issue with this is that later on he straight up grabs the fuckin blade with his bare hands.
@@SnakeEater776 True, but you could also chalk that up to the three Minicons making up the weapon being very attached to Starscream, and the blade not being held by Galvatron at that point. Maybe they powered down in their friend's hands.
"ACTIVATE PROTONCANNON, YOU'RE MINE UNICRON!" has to be the most badass thing any starscream in any universe will say.
Robert Oakley aside from going planet sized and challenging primus
+TheMightyRaptor well.. he did get a bit of memory back and spared some downed autobots.. so theres that. :3
The real reason why he loses that development? In Japan where the Unicron Trilogy shows originated, each show was completely separate, but in the localization and dubbing process, Hasbro decided to make it so that Energon was a sequel to Armada, and Cybertron to Energon. Therefore Energon's version to Starscream is not ACTUALLY supposed to be Armada Starscream, but the dub writing forces it to be so
BlueScarabGuy Energon seems like a pretty clear continuation because of certain details, but it makes sense with Cybertron.
Never, ever, in my life, could I have thought Starscream could be this awesome. Yet here it is.
Not to mention that in this series, Starscream joins the Autobots like Scourge did in Transformers Cybertron.
@@joshmontemayor1212 and only went back as his service to the Autobots also rankled his sense of honor, he made a damn oath and would keep to it

Even after all these years, this scene still hits my feels hard. How we saw the evolution of Armada Starscream's character development. How he went from being a mere soldier, to a key figure that prompted the Autobots and Decepticons to join forces against the greatest threat to the universe. I couldn't agree more. This is truly the Climax of the first and only season in the TV Series, This video is very touching.
Starscream directly attempted to attack Unicron; I wonder how that would have gone down if he had actually made contact?
DON'T FORGET DINOBOT whos shades can be seen sometimes in that Starscream version.
Starscream's character development in Armada was as dope as Vegeta's was in DragonBall Z.
Or Dinobot’s from Beast Wars. Both were good.
This was basically his suicide attack against Buu, but with actual consequence.
This is what I remember Armada for. To this day, Starscream's startlingly heroic death in Armada is probably one of the coolest moments in all of Transformers, despite the show being poorly written and badly animated most of the time (at least in America)
Perhaps the animation but the show itself was beast
TheNewYorker7899 Yeah, and it DID have a solid plot, its just that the english version messed it up a lot

Yeah I remember reading somewhere in the US versions they cut parts and used flash lmao
Never call Armada Starscream a coward. I will not allow anyone to spit in his legacy with lies and thoughtless words.

His soldier, constantly giving him chances and refusing to cut him down with conviction. Aside from constantly calling him a fool, coward or weak, he was still spared and at some extent even a father of a foolish son.

2019. Still chills. One of the top all time deaths in a cartoon. And while I love G1 one as well, this Starscream is thr best. A lengthy full arc redemption.
Him sacrificing himself while also making sure swindle doesn’t die is enough to make any man cry…
This Transformers universe is very much different from any other, with a very different Starscream. This Starscream was more badass then any other, and follow the path of the warrior. Even more of a twist this Starscream even becomes an Autobot for the time being. Crazy right?
Dank Starscream He join optimus for one episode until changing back side.
@@thinhvo3893and plus he gets to wield laser sword thi scatsrem I gu kin like anakin skywaker kr evdn hit kf cyclops from x mdn mkvie kind kf
Even all these years later, this scene still hits different. The very best version of Starscream we got and it's not even close.
That is a really interesting perspective….I can see it
Even this anime make you feel bad about them and today's live action movies can't make me feel anything but confused
All he wanted was to be treated like a warrior. :(
This Starscream went out like a true Transformer warrior.
after all these years this starscream has my respect. I get teary eyed every time I see this. R.I.P Starscream
i have been watching this exact video since i was 7. i'm 21 now and this scene will always have an impact on me!
Why does the one, good, Starscream have to die? (Not that I don't like Starscream in the Prime continuity, but c'mon!) He was so damn cool!
I agree with you of all transformers characters of there was one I would like to see again it would be Armada Starscream.
Dare I say this is one of the most impactful moments in transformers history
Starscream finally gained the respect he was deserving of.
Church of RVB may he rest in peace
Starscream is the best transformers charater ever for me and to see him die makes me cry I saw this vid as a kid and I cry for hours cause of starscreams death r.i.p. Starscream a noble solider
I missed out on armada and finally gave it a watch....my god.....I can see why people had said this was one of the best Transformer series. Cybertron was where i started and I kept going but didn't look at the previous ones, but now I have new respect for Starscream, THIS version of him. Noble, a fighter and someone who was evil but just wanted respect.
6:14 Damn, I love the way Galvatron looks at the Star Saber and remembers Starscream's final words to him.
Best Starscream ever.
