Just walked in from replacing mine on a 15 Taurus, I rarely do anything myself, and this took maybe 10 minutes. Great video. I spent $55 on the camera and got a plug remover for $5, had the T20 bit and a flashlight. That’s all you need! Camera & plug remover both from Amazon one day shipping

What was the symptoms or problem that lead you to getting a new camera? My 16 gave me a blue screen with "camera not available" error today. I closed the trunk again and it went away for now.

Hey Rich, great vid. Easily saved me $400/$500. Quick note it’s not an allen wrench. I actually used a T-20 Torx bit.
What if it’s the mirror not showing the camera? Idk if mine works or not. Just got it.

I have the camera installed. But I don’t see a harness to connect it to. What do I do?
If you took the old camera out there should have been a plug which you unpluged from the old camera.
@@RichRodgersOnline I bought it without a harness. I don’t see it dangling in the trunk. So idk what to do. Do I buy a harness? I see where it connects. But idk where I would hook up the other end of the harness to.
@@DmvdirtyTV I have no Idea. I just have replaced this one and that is it. But if it didn't have an old camera before and it doesn't have a plug. It may not have had a plug for your camera in the first place. I am sorry, I can not help you... You might go to a small body shop and ask them. Most of the time they are pretty friendly.

My camera is showing upside down. I'm not sure what could be causing this. But, thank you for posting an extremely detailed video of how to remove and replace it!!!

My wifes 13 Taurus started doing the same thing. Sometime it won't turn on. If it does turn on it upside down, and blurred. IDK WTF is causing it.
@JROC734 I had to replace the camera. I purchased it from Ebay. OEM camera "Original Equipment camera." I paid abt a little over $200 for it
It was worth the investment.
@@veganislife650 That's a bummer. I went ahead and ordered some cheap Chinese replacement off Ebay. Hopefully it will fix the issue, and have decent quality.

My screen say contact dealership would fix the issue if I just Replace it
I am not sure. You could always take it in and let them check it. But buying another camera might be cheaper than going to the dealer, and the dealer checks things out and says, "You need a new camera." But then, what if it is something else??? If it's blurry, I am guessing it's the camera. I am not a technician. It's your call. Good luck!
