Very interesting & informative video. It was interesting what he said about cows birthing on a hill. Art & Bri’s cow was hurt when the bull tried to breed her on a hill. They think he fell on her. Blessings, Love & Hugs from Vicki in Ft. Worth, Texas 🇨🇱🇺🇸👍❤️🥰🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Hormones (prolactin)that control milk production, prevents Hormones that initiate ovulation(estrogen/progesterone). That's why milk cows usually take long to breed back. As you milk them often, their body is fooled to believe they have a baby who still needs lots of milk so their body waits. It happens in humans as well. Good video. Thanks
Palpating cows is normal. It’s not that it’s hurting them. I would imagine they get a lil uncomfortable. But they keep eating and it doesn’t faze them. It’s kinda like when we have to go to the doctor for an routine exam or the dentist for a cavity to be fixed, it may be uncomfortable or stressing but doesn’t hurt us
You have a awesome vet❤

Typos are pulling the calf off
Do cows just have really large and stretchy rectums and intestines? I would hope this isn't painful for them, maybe just uncomfortable?

Goodness I dunno. I will have to look it up. We always say check or palpate a cow
@@TheMacs1 when I was a cowboy about 45 years ago that is what my boss called it when he showed me how to do it and what to feel for.

Pretty sad in this world poor animals don’t produce to slaughter they go
Yep. They aren’t pets. We run a farm not a zoo lol. We feed them and take the best care of them, but ultimately, they are food. Thanks for watching!
They will serve a purpose in another way. People need to eat.
