That would be great during your SW flights but I get it. I wonder how Swayne Martin got his company to allow that.

Rodel Canizares Hi Rodel! If you mean a dirt strip I’m not completely sure. I did see the turboprop variant did get approval in 2011. Let me get back to you on that one. Good question!
Great airplane...on my vision board! Question, when you do a rapid descent like you demonstrated with the speed brakes, is there any concern for shock cooling the engine?
Hi Michael! It would always be a concern for me. Not sure the right answer according to Piper. I would guess that it would be for a rapid depressurization to chop and drop. Otherwise the speed brake could help in getting down with the power up as to not shock cool the engine. Gotta baby those things right👍🏽. Cheers!
Great info, love the review. New here though. When you reference the 73... around 21:30... is that the 737? BTW, subscribed. EDIT: LOVE THE VIEWS, Red rock country.
Depends on the board for sure. I can see a shorty in there and even skis. Mountain bike? Maybe, I'm sure someone can make that happen. That would be a great trip to take some bikes to Catalina in that bird!👍 Cheers!
Standard length drivers can go right in the front compartment along with the rest of the set. And that's 4 sets in just the front baggage area. That leaves the entire rear baggage area for other luggage, plus all the cabin-space for 4 passengers and a fold-out table on one side. You'll need to stick to ultra-light bags and graphite clubs, though, since the front baggage area is only rated for 100lbs.
I'm 5'9" and had plenty of room. The pax in the back will have a very comfortable ride too. Just a treat of an airplane to fly. I love the Cirrus but this is wonderful XC plane as well. Cheers!

I am told that the OU Sooner flight academy is for degree students only. Any suggestions with out along drive into OKC. FLY SAFE EVERYONE. BIG ERN CONGRATS ON GOING TO THE LEFT SEAT
Just out of curiosity why did you choose to get a new SR22 turbo versus a gently used m350? I would just like to know the pros and cons in your mind between the two. Also great videos thanks for letting us come along your adventures.
I'm going to Sedona when I come to AZ in May!! Any advice on sites to see there? We have some ideas, but the more the merrier! I've NEVER been to Arizona!
The 737 from your intro has different fuel cutoff levers than the traditional white levers that go up and down. Which 737 variant is that? Is that specific to your Airline?
I’m just curious, what instrument indicates his “True Airspeed.” I thought what you’re seeing is “indicated airspeed,” and then you would have to correct for “calibrated airspeed”
Hi Jimmy! Most of the advanced avionics now have a True Airspeed reading on it. I do miss the old school ways on the round dial though at times. Made me feel like a real pilot😁. Cheers!
Ugh, if only the Columbia 400 had inherited Lancair's pressurization. The cabin air system on the Columbia 400/Cessna TTx looks almost identical to a pressurized plane. It takes bleed air off the turbos through sonic nozzles. The Columbia 400 really feels like at some point the designers envisioned it being pressurized, but it never happened. Clearly the big TSIO-550 is up to the task of pressurizing a cabin. Hopefully the new Lancair Mako gets a pressurization option at some point, or some derivative includes pressurization.
Honest question. Why would an owner-pilot choose this aircraft over a used turboprop at this price point? This aircraft is loaded with interesting electronics and safety features but $900k to $1M buys a lot of different turboprops with the added reliability and performance.
Hey Bryon! I’d agree but with age comes more maintenance costs. I guess it’s a personal preference. I’d love to get into a used Meridian at that price point but the maintenance costs kinda scare me😁. Cheers!
couple of other things t0 consider as well Byron, one of these privately for scheduled maintenance, plus fuel insurance your looking at about $350 USD/ an hour. jump into say an M500 that figure jumps to around $1100USD/Hour, plus at overhaul a pt6 will sting you $700.000 USD as opposed to a 540 at around $110.000 USD
Hi Exciting video. Did you buy any plane? What about, gas, Mooring charges, mechanics? I like that you asked about, why previous owner transitioned. Ok neat video. Shaun of NYC
Hey Kenny! Yeah it was my first time filming in a GA plane. Thanks for the feedback, I promise the one's coming up in my Cirrus will be much better😄. I hope😆
Thx for the vid ! I see you guys ended up buying Cirrus SR22T from previous vid . I’m in the market for a new aircraft debating between M350 vs SR22T? I currently fly Bonanza A36 with 500hrs on it already ! I’d appreciate a feedback and an advice from a seasoned pilot like yourself!! Thx again 🙏🏻
Congrats on the A36! That’s a great airplane. I will say that I love the Cirrus. Although, if you plan on going above 180 often get the M350. The pressurization is a game changer. Wish I had it on my last trip to Grand Forks. Just my opinion. Cheers!
The pressurized cabin is a huge plus. I live in Florida and whenever I visit Colorado I get a little dizzy and flushed whenever I land at the Denver airport which is at around 5,200 feet and when I head up into the mountains around 8,000 to 10,000 feet I get moderate altitude sickness for at least few days and even after a week, I don’t feel 100% normal. Being able to fly at 16,000 to 22,000 feet and having a pressure altitude in the cabin of less than 8,000 ft without having to have oxygen is a huge deal for me. I would like to have a back up oxygen system in this plane, just in case. Even if I fly at 25,000 feet, having an 8,000 ft cabin pressure is still a little high for me living at sea level. I’d like to have the option of supplementing with a little oxygen.
You need to turn down the ATC traffic when you are trying to do a interview. I know you need to hear it but everyone else does not need to hear it at that level.

Love this aircraft. Price is the same of a Cirrus/DA50/DA62...but pressurized, with longer range and more useful load.
Total winner.

The use of rudder on a 737 is highly discouraged. That thing has a huge rudder.

I’ve watched this video a few times. Excellent. What a great plane!
I’m still amaze at the advances in GA A/C since I last flew in 98. 😊😊
I am new to planes but the pressurised cabin and space puts the piper m350 ahead of the rivals for me.
