- Paiste signature full crash 16 vs Paiste 2002 16
SIGNATURE OVERVIEW :
A great all-around crash!
Bright, full, warm, brilliant sparkling. Wide range, balanced, clean mix. Even response with warm, shimmering sustain. A very versatile, general-purpose crash cymbal. Medium weight with soft to medium-loud volume, washy stick sound, lively intensity, medium sustain, and integrated bell.
2002 OVERVIEW:
Versatile and effective for multiple music applications.
Bright and full with a warm shimmer that carries well. Very dynamic and full-bodied, with immediate response. Washy stick sound with lively intensity and medium sustain. A good all-purpose crash.
Made with CuSn8 bronze for a bright, warm, and energetic tone. Great for live and studio gigs requiring high energy and the utmost in precision and musicality. Heavier models have been added to round out the original classic series by providing increased volume.

2 of the best cymbals money can buy. Paistes make music, all others make noise. The 20 2002, and 18 Sig full crash..FUGGETABOUTIT
Hello it is clear that you are a paiste lover ;)
I do not agree though that the other brand's cymbals are just noise!
why do you say that?
There are top series Zildjian, sabian, ufip, etc. very beautiful. Do not you think?
@@DoMega I guess I can live with some Zildjians, but no where near the tone, and versatility of Paiste. For some reason, Sabians just bother me. It's that overtone they all have. The Sigs, for me anyway, are the perfect cymbal line. They cut, they're dynamic in range..idk, swiss have something. To think the 2002's are B8 alloy. Ever hear a Sabian B8?
> Paistes make music, all others make noise
That's is a bold statement.
After owning and playing full set’s from the big four - Paiste, Zildjian, Sabian and Meinl I can confirm and back this comment. It’s not that the others are bad, Paiste are just on another level!! The BEST cymbals I have played by quite a bit. They are the most musical and most consistent, best tone they have this beautiful musical shimmer to them that no other cymbal company has, regardless of the line.

Grazie 😉
2002 High, Signature Low tone
I have 2002 17" crash. A little bit preattier sound than all 2002 16"s. Perfect for first crash in a row
Signature FTW!
I don't like small 2002 crashes. 18" and 19" 2002s are very good though.
It's a tie between those two, but since I love the 2002s, the 2002 crash is definitely my favorite
Signature is best
exactly !
Signiture for finess... 2002 for aggression
Do you prefer finess or aggression? 😉
@@DoMega Depends on the gig 😁
I have a set of 2002s, 3 x medium crashes, heavy hihat and heavy ride... going to add some RUDES too, so I tend to swing towards aggression 🤘🏻
Yeah!
That's what I prefer too ;)
I'm looking at the Rude thin crashes to compliment the 2002 mediums and to keep the set versatile. Use them to record Metal to Indie Rock. Certainly wouldn't use them for smokey jazz ;) There are better options for that kind of music.
2002 all day baby...

It's amazing! The signature sounds way better than the almighty 2002! Crazy!
Engineers have a harder time manipulating the sound of the 2002s, so I'll be adding them to my arsenal.
2002 win for me👍
Sig all day
16" are not crash but splashes. Crashes beginn with 18" ;-)
Signature.
I got the 16" thin, crash and medium crashes 2002
Sabina b8s for the best sounding cymbals ever. Especially if you buy them at 350 a cymbal and they're cracked. That's what I recommend!
