    I raced mountain bikes until I was 55. What fun it was.

    I did my first race at 54, it was great fun and I did not take it too serious 😀👍 … never to late to start

    competing as a runner seems a lot safer as cycling is known for all kinds of spectacular crashes. Gravel seems the safest of them all if I lived in a good gravel area.... Strava wise I tend to score much higher on cycling segments than on running so I probably suck as a runner but it's safer. Running is relatively new to me my body may have developed to be a cyclists as I did a ton as a kid in the 60s.
