So wearing gloves is to difficult is it
Wearing gloves is like wearing an arm brace to help with bicep curls. You're as strong as your weakest link.
Wear gloves and your hands will be weak. Calluses are just part of training.
@UnityGymOnline why please explain.a little more
@@UnityGymOnlinewhat a load of nonsense. Why do people use wraps for deadlifts?
@xerikl Good question, people use wraps for deadlifts for many reasons. Could be because of injury.
But the deadlift and all its variants is the one strength movement that using wraps to overcome a weak grip is an acceptable strategy.
However, wraps are not gloves and have an entirely different purpose.
Edit: The deadlift trains more muscles in the body than other traditional strength training movement. If you're serious about strength, you don't want a weak grip to limit how much you deadlift.
And if you'd like an example of one of the strongest people in the world, our friend Sebastian Oreb AKA Australian Strength Coach, strenght coach for Hafþór Björnsson never uses gloves and rarely uses wrist wraps. At least every time we've worked out with him.
However, when it comes to hanging, pull ups and calisthenics, no one is using wraps to overcome a weak grip. And although there are times when gloves are used by some (including me, although very rarely), I would much prefer to have strong hands that can handle the load my muscles can handle.
@craigwebb4012 Sure thing. You are as strong as your weakest link. If your hands are weak, you are weak.
Folks who rely on gloves because hanging and pull ups hurt their hands will remain weak as a whole, even when their pull ups increase.
Because as soon as you remove their gloves, their hands are just as weak as when they started training.
Strength training is done to make you strong. It makes sense that your hands should also adapt and become stronger.
