Dang lived most of my life in central FL but because I was never into drifting I never knew of or ran into Hert. Very cool to see an O-town guy be as big as he is in the car world. I really feel so many people don't ever think of Orlando as the car culture town that it is.
From watching hert on the “unprofessionals” by hoonigan growing up and also watching the og fast and furious movies it’s so awesome seeing him talk about his story
I can't praise this episode enough, you're all incredibly inspiring people. Not just for showing that anyone can go places they never thought they could, but for taking the time to share the stories and make the ways there a tangible thing. "Famous people are people too" is often kind of a platitude, and I think it's easier than ever to lose sight of the true intent of that statement. Sung's story about the elderly neighbour really spoke to me, and I had the same feeling Hert mentioned later. It just puts everything into a perspective I can relate to. So, thanks for letting us get to know you all as people, the world needs more of this.
Originally from South Africa, like Sung, my next door older neighbour was way more of a father figure than my real dad(who lived at the pub) and taught me all things mechanical. He used to restore older motorbikes and helped me fix up my first bike. I have a vast skill set because of his influence. 😊😊
Great episode yal, you are all amazing in own stories❤! Hert you are motivation to us all! I’m a mechanic and IT engineer (entry level). And due to all my years of service. Im recently out of work with back issues. But it’s given me more time to work on my car. And I miss it!! So here’s to the future and what it holds!!
so many phrases in this podcast that are relatable to me and how far I have come. simple words but powerful. If any of you know where an 20 yr auto tech and 10 yr 3d print enthusiast would be able to expand skills on customizing cars it would be appreciated. I have spent many years customizing my own vehicles but haven't found many people who also make custom and oem parts to enhance a vehicles from. its a slow process when you do all the work but it keeps me happy.
I dont comment on UA-cam, but this one was really good. From breakups and rebuilding yourself, to being vulnerable and wearing it on your sleeve. Such a positive message, you guys are awesome.
That story about Sung asking about the R8 is why Japan is the best country to go to car meets dude with the Lambos casually talking to the guys in Kei Cars.
My memory is a bit fuzzy, but there was a researcher named Emmy Werner who studied resilient kids. One of her findings was that children who survived challenging upbringings instinctively found mentors who provided a "protective" factor.
Although I appreciated H.E.Jr. slamming PBR’s talking smack while being interviewed was great. This is the H.E.Jr. we will always 🖤&✊🏾 🍻y’all!!…My 🧠🫀& soul are smiling once again. 🙏
I was wanting to ask what dose it take to be heard or say mine inspiration of cars for me I'm just too negative person anyway I'm not ment for anything I guess always depressed and just don't know where to go and how I can do better and know I'm doing right without fall backs.
depending on HOW you like cars, you'll have a different POV. That POV will either make you a driver, a mecanic, a photographer, a producer, a historian, the owner of a race track, a media person Whichever one you are, you're still into car culture imo. A culture has multiple facets. and if you just like or belong to one, you're part of that culture
Sorry, but Cars and Coffee is not often occupied by real car people or with people who have the pulse on anything real in the car communities. There may be a few here and there and they are very easy to identify. If you get into a group of actual drifters, actual drag racers, autocross, they would never treat you that way, or it would be incredibly rare; perhaps the odd narcissist. There is a huge difference between these parking lot poser meets and those who take part in actual racing.
I can never know what true real friends are and trying to be welcoming even though I don't fit in im a lower trying to accomplish my car love but my loserness gaming not gonna get me anywhere everything seems so easy to do but try to live off of 50 dollars every 2 or 4 weeks tell me yall can have a postitive outlook from others and to actually create a good set to live normal.
Sooooo…. Kangs lack of interest or input in hertz interview rub anyone else a certain way? Maybe it’s just me , but I feel a bit of distain from his part in this particular interview. Hope that’s not the case .
Watching the rest of the interview. Kang, I hope you find the better of friendship circles in the automotive community. It’s ok to be or have reservations, but having good people in your community will give you the best experiences . 🥃👊🏻. Do what you can to be exactly what you want to be, don’t let rx8 dip shits hold you back from the wonderful world of genuine side of the car culture can provide family and friends . Don’t be so distant, you come off like a dick but I believe you mean better 👊🏻😁
New found respect for Emelia, just her engaging personality, vehicle knowledge and interview presence. Subscribed.
Yeah Emilia really knows her stuff and did the research on Hert well.
Sung Kang and Hert. Legends, Emelia's knowledge continues to amaze me. Good to see this trio.

All of Florida is automotive central. Remember.. we were the ones who invented NASCAR
I appreciate Sung's honesty.
This podcast continues to deliver. Sung and Emelia are really above average hosts. Come for the cars, stay for the introspection. You love to see it.

Happy to hear more from Hert, met him out here in Japan at Umihotaru PA and felt so bad that I didn't recognize him before

Great episode! Didn’t know listening to the three of you would be so inspiring. But it was! I feel all of you represent the car culture I fit in with.

Sung is the most interesting man in the world..I'm not sure he knows it though..🤷🏽..Always good to hear his life stories.
I’ve been watching Hert since 2012 waw!!
24:37 cars don’t run in my family either. I have four cars, only one of them runs.
Keep Hert’em ❤️🔥
My favorite drifter, hands-down. ❤

podcasts are cool when you get to see youtubers act like humans not characters ..
Sung and Emilia matched again! lol.. im starting to believe its planned
Need Adam Lz on this pod.
Sung : "I'm not into cars"
*proceeds to explain why he's a car person, just with a different perspective and connection*
depending on HOW you like cars, you'll have a different POV.

I'm the opposite to Sung, I got into cars specifically only because I liked cars. The community stuff just kind of happened
All the chopping during the nappy boy black rep kinda sucks. Really got into it then chopped, chopped, chopped..
Sung kang looks bored and like he’s not enjoying him self. Some of his comments 😂
I like sung but the lack of car knowledge is just not there bro. Sorry but not sorry. Again great guy.
Maybe I’m trippin but Sung seemed so uninterested in this interview almost mute and board. Idk maybe he was going thru something personal

Your right dude I noticed it too
Imagine cheating on Han and seeing him on screen in one of the biggest franchise.😂
This is the weirdest podcast with the most random hosts. Sung is amazing honestly wish it was just him 😂 Emelia just a youtube thot lol
The guy that's not into cars lol
@@brandonswervy1698 Exactly, even his stories just about life are better 🤣
