As a jewish woman who lived in israel for 7 years, I have just now started to research this stuff and I am shocked. I had literally zero clue this is what life was like. I knew there were restrictions , and lack of citizenship in occupied terrotiroes but i learned it through the lense of this being a temporary situation until 2 state solution comes to be. As a Palestinian growing up, my grandmother would tell me stories of how her Jewish neighbors were as close to her as her own family, she would tell me how as a child she would go to their house on Saturdays to turn on the lights and open doors. Their children were her best friends, they were always either at her house, or their house playing together. We have always been one society, cohesive, loving, living together in peace and harmony.
