and it's not even just the music, pretty much all the visual media (T.H.I.S.) is a product of Joe's "artistry" (idk how to word it), remember he's a film/English major, so he really knows how to make media of all kinds.
As much as this is true, popular doesn’t really mean good. The only of those five that were even highlights on their albums was Ruler of Everything, with Andrew and Zubin’s music being the ones that are actually why I’m a Tally Hall fan. At this point, just get Casey until Joe gets a therapist.

I'm seeing a lot of (i assume young) fans who recently joined the fanbase being destroyed about this and I can't help but remember 17 year old me one year ago, absolutely hyperfixated on the band and watching one of the only things making me happy get destroyed, followed by months of twitter and tiktok drama that made me move to instagram and eventually stop interacting with the fanbase... I assume it will be slightly different this time, tho it's true that a lot of fans joined without knowing about past controversies. Despite everything, the nausea over discovering these things, the sadness of seeing something beautiful you loved get destroyed, the fandom will stay there, even broken. I still have old mutuals who are now friends, even if we don't talk about the band that much... You'll find other things you like... and it's okay to feel bad until that happens. It will be okay. Take care of yourselves

This doc proves that the creation of these docs doesn't help at all. Joe continues doing what he doesn't recognize as wrong, and his fans think it'll be different with them. It's like those people that fall in love with famous murderers.
Honestly, I don’t think these interactions with groupie types define his character. Remember when Coz passed away? Joe traveled hours to pay respects to him. That to me speaks volumes of his character. It’s been public knowledge that Joe has been struggling, and I think it is sick of people to engage with him, and then cry for attention when they know that about him. We are all human, and we can all be guilty of doing messed up stuff at some point in our lives, ESPECIALLY when struggling. I wish people would quit trying to get a piece of him.

I am not against the victim of this, but people should at least respect Joe’s boundaries. The twitter fanbase is extremely toxic, and they’re just making his problem worse by constantly exposing him, let alone making ANOTHER doc after there had already been two. It’s honestly ridiculous. i would not like to start an argument, but i do have many things to say to this. first of all, just because someone has lied often does not mean they are incapable of telling to truth and being abused (look at the cody ko situation). second of all, believe all victims is not at all a dangerous mindset to have. what makes it dangerous is harassing the alleged abuser. i think believe all victims should certainly be toned down on a lot of peoples levels (especially since the whole kwite situation) but i think safely believing victims creates no harm. simple bringing awareness, supporting the victim, and in some cases badgering the alleged abuser for a response is not harmful at all. what does anyone lose by being cautiously kind and supportive, especially towards victims.

I'm seeing a lot of (i assume young) fans who recently joined the fanbase being destroyed about this and I can't help but remember 17 year old me one year ago, absolutely hyperfixated on the band and watching one of the only things making me happy get destroyed, followed by months of twitter and tiktok drama that made me move to instagram and eventually stop interacting with the fanbase...
I assume it will be slightly different this time, tho it's true that a lot of fans joined without knowing about past controversies. Despite everything, the nausea over discovering these things, the sadness of seeing something beautiful you loved get destroyed, the fandom will stay there, even broken. I still have old mutuals who are now friends, even if we don't talk about the band that much... You'll find other things you like... and it's okay to feel bad until that happens.

Honestly, I don’t think these interactions with groupie types define his character. Remember when Coz passed away? Joe traveled hours to pay respects to him. That to me speaks volumes of his character. It’s been public knowledge that Joe has been struggling, and I think it is sick of people to engage with him, and then cry for attention when they know that about him. We are all human, and we can all be guilty of doing messed up stuff at some point in our lives, ESPECIALLY when struggling. I wish people would quit trying to get a piece of him.

I am not against the victim of this, but people should at least respect Joe’s boundaries. The twitter fanbase is extremely toxic, and they’re just making his problem worse by constantly exposing him, let alone making ANOTHER doc after there had already been two. It’s honestly ridiculous. He already has serious mental issues of his own, and this only makes matters worse.

I'm sorry but I have to dislike this video. the person who made this doc has a history of lying, they do not deserve to just be "believed" with no evidence. Now this doesn't mean that we should just straight up accuse them of lying, we should take this allegation seriously, but believe all victims is a very harmful mindset to have. i would not like to start an argument, but i do have many things to say to this. first of all, just because someone has lied often does not mean they are incapable of telling to truth and being abused (look at the cody ko situation). second of all, believe all victims is not at all a dangerous mindset to have. what makes it dangerous is harassing the alleged abuser. i think believe all victims should certainly be toned down on a lot of peoples levels (especially since the whole kwite situation) but i think safely believing victims creates no harm. simple bringing awareness, supporting the victim, and in some cases badgering the alleged abuser for a response is not harmful at all. what does anyone lose by being cautiously kind and supportive, especially towards victims.
besides its not like this doc is tainting someones image. we already know joe isnt a great person and this doc is either just someone sharing their story or someone trying to get attention and either way i dont think its harmful to be supportive towards then.

Giving somebody the title "victim" before it's confirmed is just as disingenuous as calling somebody an "abuser" without evidence. It's important to help people come forward, but counter-intuitive to give so much power to people with unsubstantiated claims.
