Kellie Colegrove, I really like the way you explain everything that we need to know, even where we can find the things that we might need! Very good tutorial! Thank you.
I ran across this tutorial in my recommendations list. I did not need to watch for instructional purposes, because I make jewelry and charms all the time, but I just really love to watch all sorts of tutorials to see different ways that others do things. I never know when I might find an easier or better way of doing something. You definitely do know how to explain things very well. And I am totally in agreeance with you in that I like my dangles to look the same on each end. If I start with a small spacer bead then I like to end with one as well. I just like how finished it looks. Your charms that you showed in part one of this tutorial are very beautiful 😁. I really love the larger dangles and charms myself. I have a bad habit of keeping on adding on lol.
Thank you for this great tutorial. Your tips on what to purchase was so helpful to me, not to mention the instructions. I made a trip to JoAnns this morning and bought some things to try my hand at. Thank you so much! Linda Hardesty
I love your tutorials. You break the techniques down, to where I totally understand what you are doing. I made my charms without spacer first, then I saw what you did adding spacers. It looks so much more professional and bumps up the wow factor. Thank you so much.
OMG!!! Thank you!!!! I'm super new to this world... I've been watching videos nonstop for two days and you're the first to NAME THINGS!!! Amazon likes when you know the names of what you want to buy! 😂 Seriously, I've learned so much from you. Thank you!!!!!!!
Hi Kellie! This tutorial is great! Thank You so much for the wonderful instruction on this. I am off to go get some tools and make a charm and probably more after! Blessings! Becky
Thanks Kellie. I plan on making a few charm bracelets for our granddaughters. I also want to try my hand at some chunky charms. I'll definitely send some pics. Thanks so much! Linda Hardesty
Love, Love, Love your beautiful creations. Could you share which sizes of pins are the ones you use most. I know it's personal preference but as a newbie, I appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks.
Hey Elaine, Joann's has those teardrop beads on sale right now too to make those acrylic flowers from my other tutorial. Awesome labor day sales going on right now. I need to get out of here and get my shop on too! LOL.
Aww, thank you Claudene. Those split rings are great for charms too. You can pick up some split ring pliers that will make life easier when opening those. The split rings are great for making sure you don't loose any beads. I will get some and the pliers eventually. I have been making the charms with coiling the wire around a couple times so I just haven't got them yet. I will PM you a link to a video that shows how to use them that I found at Beadaholique. Big hugs, Kellie
Oh Kate, that just made my day :o) I am so glad that you found the confidence and direction you need to try something that you previously thought was not possible :o) That is one of the main reasons I do tutorials in the first place :o) There are great Labor Day sales out there right now so it's a good time to get motivated to try something new. I would love to see what you create when you are done. TFW, Hugs, Kellie
Thanks so much for the great help! I'm a newbie to this and you have explained so much for me.. I've wanted to do a chunky charm for awhile now and you are a great teacher. I've watched alot of tutorials and only a few I got. Yours is by far the best..New subie here . TFS Hugs Debbie p.s. The mat I have to purchase tomorrow Haha I learned the hard way. wire pinging all thru the air lol
Great tutorial.... I have made 4 chunky charms now and I learned a lot from watching that will help me with the next ones that I do.... and I will do more....they are sort of addicting! Teri F
Hi Linda, Woo hoo! I'm so excited for you. You are going to enjoy it. It takes practice to get your loops just right so be forgiving of yourself at first. Everyone loves getting these too. Earrings, bracelets, etc. The sky is the limit. Have fun and I would love to see what you come up with if you can. Big hugs and happy crafting :o) Kellie
I love your tutorial, but I would have loved to seen the dangle all the way to the end :( I don't know how to add the charms to the chain. Little on top and graduate the sizes as I go down? Put them randomly on the chain with the large bead at the bottom? I am one of those that need to see all the steps all the way to the end.... Can you tell me in what order you add them to the chain and how many links of chain in between? Thank you in advance, and again, I love this tutorial. You do a great job of explaining the process :)
Hi, what I like to do is lay out the dangles largest on bottom and then work out the smaller ones as I go up the chain. The largest charm or dangle will be the focal point of the piece. I use jump rings to attach the charms and dangles to the chain. Sometimes, depending on the charm or dangle, it might already have a means of attaching it without a jump ring. Play with it until you achieve the pretty you are looking for. There was a part 1 of this and I have a few more videos on purse charms that you might like too. Dive in and try it out. If you don't like the first design you can redo it. Love making these. Hope to make more soon. Thanks for commenting 😊
Hello Kellie can you tell me where i can find the components to make the charm with the big pearl that is at the bottom of the screen. Please tell me what is the metal part. Thanks
Thanks for sharing this video and the previous one! I love making charms but have been having a tough time and now I realize I was using the one tool all wrong LOL! Well, not anymore :) I would love to see how you created that loop-twist on the blue charm at the end.....the one you said is 'the proper way to finish'. Thanks so much, Brigitte xo
Hi Brigitte, I'm so glad you got some good use out of these tutorials. I will be doing more tutorials very soon and I will try to get this one in there for you as soon as I can. Keep practicing, it takes time to get it down :o) Hugs, Kellie
You're a GREAT teacher!! I made the mistake of buying those double jump rings (ugh!) I can't get them opened! I usually end up cutting them in half. I noticed that you don't use them. What are they used for, and do you know how to open them? Great tutorial again...big hugs!..Claudene
Hi - I love this video - you covered everything so well. I do have a question - could you use a link from the chain itself, instead of buying jump rings? Would that be cheaper? Thanks so much for your great video! Donna.
You could use a link from the chain but I think you will find that things are too bunched together. Chain is more pricey than jump rings. You can buy some wire and make your own jump rings as well. Play with it and you will find you have some awesome ideas :). Thank you for your kind words :o)
Thank you for the videos, they helped a lot, I was doing something wrong could not figure it out, lol your video showed me what I was doing wrong. Thank you!
I just eye ball it and space them out evenly along the chain. Space out the same color so it flows nice. If I dont like where one is laying, just move it :) Play with it.
I'm going to try making one of this. I saw someone doing a kit unboxing and see if it works for me. Cause knowing me i will come out of the store with a bunch of stuff and nothing that coordinates. lol
Thanks Lynn. I love the ring jump ring opener but when I'm getting all the charms on the chain, it gets too tight to get my big fat finger in there - LOL. :o)
@@pamwilson6296 Hi Pam. I purchase some online via AliExpress or Amazon sometimes but for specific projects that were commissioned or for specific gifts, I prefer go to Michael's, JoAnns and/or Hobby Lobby to touch them and feel them 😊

Thanks again

how do you tie Fireline for a necklace or bracelet..i'm a newbie too..
You can just the it in a regular knot and tuck the knot in a bead or a bead cover, whatever works with your design best.
