Alpharius is the youngest brother who is constantly leaving the house and everybody just trusts that he will be fine. Secretly he and Omegon have a tree fort somewhere with plumbing, electricity, AC, and a 48 inch TV
Sorry but they're all the same age I believe and he was discovered first, moments after the primarchs got separated. With special training from malcador, he thought his brothers were weak despite being better fighters
@@facundogonza5740 I thought the lore changed and she "scattered" them across the Galaxy instead of Chaos? I've never understood why the Emperor would allow anyone near his son's that could do this, especially fkn chaos. I'm still learning the lore..
Alpharius detailed his view on each of the primarchs which is said 1) Horus was the greatest of them though he knew it all too well. 2) Lorgar he could never work out if the emperor's arrival actually helped him or not. 3) he was present at a number of primarch first meetings but he was not present at Angron's, he does not regret that. 3) "None of us like Curze, and I'm fairly certain he despises us all equally in turn" 4) He did not respect Rogal dorn's view of war, where Dorn's methods would maximise chance of victory whatever the cost, Alpharius focussed on avoiding pyrrhic victories through more risk filled games. He also noted that he never trusts someone who doesn't lie" 5) Magnus never seemed to want to be close with the other primarchs, though he stood besides him when it came to psychers because no tool is evil, it is just a tool and should be mastered. 6) He disliked the lion, he eternally looked down upon all his brothers and never trusted anyone. He respected his presence though and tactical strategy. 7) Corax's personality was as hard to see as the man himself 8) He envied Sanguinious massively for his wings, not because of any tacticle reason but the sensation of flying must have been exhillerating. 9) He made Leman Russ smile once. The only true smile he think he's ever caused in his brother. He did so when being asked what his role was meant to be in the emperor's galaxy, to which Alpharius replied "I'm the one who keeps secrets" The Fenrisian, laughing, said in response "Then I'm surprised there aren't two of you"
Purterabo and Magnus were actually really close. Magnus spoke fondly of he and Perty exploring the ruins of old terra when both of them were there, and he even tried to get the Emperor to forgive him in the Fury of Magnus.
It probably helped that while they were both very scholarly inclined, their fields of expertise didn't overlap at all. Which likely prevented Perturabo from starting a dickmeasuring contest like he did with Dorn and subsequently getting salty.
@@cindermoth3421 Like he did with everyone* There's a story I recall of an ancestor of one of Perturabo's adopted brothers who Perty constantly goaded into contests to satisfy his own superiority complex until the brother actually beat him in a sculpting contest. To which Perty did what he did best... threw a shitfit and destroyed the pieces. He's such a doucheballon but I still like him lmao.
@@michaelhowell2326 @michael howell Yeah, I actually read this recently. It's in "Angel Exterminatus". It paints Perturabo in a pretty interesting light; he's actually an extremely passionate and brilliant man who wanted to be viewed as more than the "Lord of Iron" role that he was kind of forced into. Hell, there's even an off-handed mention of a gigantic golden clockwork lion that he intended to gift to "the primarch of the first" just to be a nice guy. In any case, from my understanding, Perturabo was absolutely fascinated by DaVinci's work and constantly searched for his manuscripts and diagrams. Apparently, he wasn't able to decipher/translate some of them, and approached Magnus for help. Magnus was all too happy to help due to his love of ancient knowledge, and Perturabo found in the Crimson King perhaps the ONLY brother who ever bothered to humor his interests beyond just expecting him to "DIG TRENCH DO SIEGE"
I remember reading that when Perty thought Magnus died he was super sad about it but when he and Magnus met back up Perty hugged him and asked him to never do anything so dangerous every again. So they might be actually pretty close
@@robertnelson9599 yeah. Perty being a demon prince is a big mistake in writing imo and Magnus…yeah…it’s one of those times that “shattering his soul” is one of the most dissatisfactory stories 🤣
Can you imagine a primarch family dinner? Everyone is trying to fight each other while Sanguinus is just enjoying his soup cause none of them want to hurt the Glorious Hawkboy
@@ragnarian Eventful's an understatement. Some highlights of it include Magnus getting roasted over poor taste in names (he actually named a fortress 'The Fortress of Enlightenment'!), multiple Primarchs having headaches in response to Konrad's biological son being the verbal equivalent of five dozen machine guns all firing simultaneously, Fulgrim shrieking in horror at his own daughter being an especially fucked up daemonhost, Angron trying to kill Lion for actually managing to be worse at parenting than Emps ever was, Angron's biological son being stuck as one of the few actually mature Primechildren despite being 40K Doomguy in the making, Sanguinius being a huge fan of Colchisian soap operas to the point where Lorgar thinks the Angel is a bit of a psycho, Perturabo getting pissed off at Guilliman for dissing Olympian White Wine before Fulgrim sends Dorn into screaming NOOOOOOOO by joking about adding diet soda to whiskey, Jaghatai casually mentioning to Russ and Sanguinius that Magnus is literally married to half a dozen Eldar Exodites, and the Primarch's mom being both someone other than Erda AND one hell of a cool lady.
*everybody fighting and big E trying to stop then* *Meanwhile* Jagatai: "And, how's your legion been?" Vulkan: "Excellent! We have near to no need for chaplains anymore, my marines are just that stable! Not that I'd release the chaplains, you can never be sure." Sanguinius: "Damn bro, respect."
Even the loyalists like Dorn and Guilliman clearly valued the people that raised them on their homeworlds more as their actual “family” compared to the Emperor especially the latter after being stuck with taking care of the Imperium alone.
For those who missed the epic Khan burn: It was at Ullanor (not sure 100%, but doesnt matter much) and there was bunch of primarchs in the tent. Fulgrim: Hey Khan, i heard you do strange things to your ships (referring some extra white scars speed tech Khan's fleet had) Khan: i heard you do strange things to your warriors.
@@soapcang696 afaik fulgrim challenged the khan to a duel and the khan says since i always take things seriously I will win. Then sanguineous expertly defused the situation with kind words
Honestly it was a bit of a dick move considering he's referencing how Fulgrim struggled trying to stop his legion from suffering complete destruction due to a gene flaw.
Spoilers: He fell but did not hit the ground “I have you brother” said Perturabo “How did I get here?” “The Lord of Iron carried you” said Phosis T’Kar. “He would not permit us to bear you.” Extract over: Man, Perturabo is just such a Chad idgaf. His care for Magnus and Fulgrim is exceptional, even if he later grew to really hate Slaaneshified Fulgrim
Vulkan had a really good relationship with G-man. In "Vulkan Lives", there are a few times where you find Vulkan hoping G-man comes to save him (or Corvis)
The reunion of, I think Dorn and Vulkan on Terra was really sweet. Dorn: "if I was capable of emoting, I would be glad of your return, and possibly hug you." Vulkan: *HUG FREEEEEEEND*
I could see these two getting along pretty well. Like G-man saying that saving some civilians isn't tactically sound. Then Vulkan saying he's going to do it anyway. Giving our big blue boy scout the excuse to do the thing he wanted to do anyway.
Konrad is the edgy brother who is asked every time "why are you like this?" and unholy screech at you. Corvus is the cool edgy brother who writes and reads dark poetry and is everything Konrad isn't.
To put it simply: Konrad: The edgy whiny depressed psychopathic emo that likes to inflict pain on others because he either likes it, feels that everyone should suffer the same as him, to punish people, or all of the above Corvus: Cool goth dude that's a bit edgy but is all around a chill dude. He'd love to introduce you to his pals if only you're not weirded out by them, but he's cool with that, he understands that.
@@jakehughes6087 he thought they were all inefficient as they liked to throw away space marine lives while alpharious had little to no causalitys on his missions. A lot of his missions were assassinations so he though of ways to kill each brother moments after meeting them. Surprisingly, the lion and russ figured him out right away despite never telling anyone he was a primarch.
I can’t believe he forgot the great rivalry between Alpharius and Alpharius or how Alpharius saved Alpharius from Alpharius who was actually just pretending to be Alpharius
Dude I was there when it happened Alpharius was shock when Alpharius saved Alpharius from Alpharius blows but it still saddens me that Alpharius die due to Alpharius betrayal
I really think Ferrus and Fulgrim were meant to complete each other. Fulgrim had the ambition to create perfection in everything and Ferrus had the determination to get the job done. Likewise, when Fulgrim turned traitor Ferrus turned emotionally. And when Ferrus lost his life Fulgrim lost his will to live and caved to the daemon blade. Tragic.
Alpharius and Dorn were almost diametrically opposed. One honest, unable to lie, the other being literally Alpharius. Alpha legion focusing on stealthy infiltration while the Fists turn mountains into walls
I still think alpharious was jealous as he never chose his lifestyle. He was trained for it. I think he didn't want to lie but knew having a demi god as and enemy would be a bad idea. He lied till he figured out their motives
The Khan also had a healthy respect for the Warp, and his Stormseers where pretty dope. So he and Magnus may not have been 'friends', they both respected eachother and their respective legions.
Dorn was actually legitimately terrified of Curze long before their bust up as Malcador revealed to him in his psychic interrorgation in "The Lightning Tower." Morty and Curze got on like a house on fire... mostly because they both enjoyed setting houses on fire. Magnus spotted Curze's incredible psychic potential from their first meeting on Nostramo and gifted him with a psy reactive crystal orb that would allow him to focus his powers. Unfortunately Curze thought it was a paperweight and forgot about it.
Cause he has not as much written about him. The lore he has is awesome, but you have to look for it, you don't get slapped in the face with it. Also, people who don't try to understand him and just think "emo"
@@tinheart2853 I think both would start laughing. Corvus from being called Emo with Konrad right there and Konrad for witnessing someone thinking Corvus is emo
Perturabo was actually super close with Magnus, for their shared love of knowledge, and when Magnus met with the Emperor at the Siege of Terra and he was offered redemption, he asked if his brother Perturabo could be forgiven as well. Perty also said that he held no brother as highly as Magnus. The Khan also considered Magnus his closest brother. And the closest relationship that Alpharius had was probablly with Horus, but the brother that he admired the most was the Lion, for his secrecy and discrection, and he disliked Dorn precisely because he was incapalble of lying.
Slight possible correction, based on the assumptions of his Primarch book: Omegon was closest to Horus, as it was he who met Horus on the Vengeful Spirit. Alpharius admires Lion, and dislikes Dorn, for the reasons you've stated.
Little bit of a bias here, but Magnus was probably the most well-liked among all the Primarchs. He was at least respected by everyone, except maybe Morty. While the majority of them actually showed him affection and camaraderie. It could be said Russ didn't like him, but that's not true at all. In A Thousand Sons, Magnus and Russ make witty banter and even surprise Ahriman with how familial they are. A lot of people point to the burning of Prospero as the reason for the two hating one another. Upon reading the lore, though, we see Russ absolutely torn with having to attack his brother. And let's not forget Magnus was devastated to have put his sons and his brother at odds. And of course, his status as a favorite of Big E.
I think Kurze hated Magnus, or held a great deal of animosity towards him. Kurze relished destroying a library Magnus wanted to save, because Kurze is a vindictive, mean little bastard.
@@dac314 No that's not the reason. Curze destroyed the library coz it had info about the warp that the emperor disliked he said it wasnt personal but curze is insane.
@@dac314 Kurze only truly hated Corax but was indifferent really to the rest. Only Sangi and Fulgrim had anything close to a friendly relationship with him
In the short story "Wolf King" it showed the aftermath of Prospero, Russ was pretty much depressed after what had happened Even before the Prospero conflict Russ basically begged Magnus for a peacefull resolution of the situation for several days in the hope to prevent bloodshed Hell even with the Lion Russ was actually fairly on good terms, especially after that one incident where he punched the Lion k.o. Since the Lion realized why Russ was acting so hastily trying to hide the genetic flaw of theirs of the wolfen to which the Lion responded by ordering every Legionair and Army trooper to shut the fuck up about what they saw or else he will fuck them up. Funnily enough both the Lion and Russ came to truly appreciate and love each other after their duel and Russ knocking Lion out
@@powerflumi would not be rare that the often violent rivalry between Dark Angels and Space Wolves is just another tragic misunderstading that not only survived the pass of time but actually got stronger, the same as the Iron Hands obsession of rejecting their own flesh when their Primarch actually wanted a future in which his son could live and prosper without those modifications.
I think Rogal Dorn had a negative interaction with Alpharius from the time they were operating on the same planet. Nothing too bad mostly just Alpharius having a superiority complex with his stealthy operations while Dorn said he made stuff more difficult and complex than he had to. So I do think Dorn disliked him.
Alpharius wanted to bring down the world prince by assassination of the planets nobility, Dorn fought a bloody war against the prince. They hated each other afterwards. Alpharius also was distrustful of Dorn, seeing it as likely that, should Emps die, Dorn would step in and replace him as ruler. Perturabo once low key defended Vulcans artisanship in the forge when talking to Fulgrim..... That's about as much a glowing review as you'll ever get!
Magnus stepped towards Fulgrim, and the master of the Emperor’s Children opened his arms to receive his brother’s embrace. Next, Magnus turned to Sanguinius, and the Primarch of the Blood Angels kissed his brother’s cheeks, his greeting heartfelt but reserved. /A thousand sons, P: 309
Despite claims to to contrery, Magnus was a VERY popular Primarch amogst his brothers. He was the favorite brother of Perturabo, Lorgar and Jaghatai Khan, and was on friendly terms with Vulkan, Horus, Sanguineous and Fulgrim. The only 2 brothers that hated him were Leman "Furry Fuck" Russ and Mortarion, two of the least popular Primarchs.

If only Russ told this shame sons about this could have made future conflict with the 1,000 sons and the wolves more interesting. It could be the secret shame of the space wolves that they were manipulated into murdering their loyal cousin legion and when ever the 1000 sons emerge to destroy Fenris the wolves go to battle somberly knowing they are not fighting a mortal enemy but the product of their failures. We will fight you we will beat you but we will not take any pride in this victory and will grieve afterwards. I really hope in future 40k stories gulliman try’s to contact and reason with some of his less zealous brothers. I can really foresee Gulliman and Magnus meeting up on say prospero under a flag of truce and the two brothers just vent on each other their fears and frustrations . Even though they were not closed during the crusade they do have things in common a common thread was neither of them were able to truly grieve for sanguinoius gulliman could bring old documents proving that Horus manipulated Russ and perhaps yivrain could tag along offering to restore his entire legion to life if he renounces Tzeench.
"Of all the Primarchs, save perhaps Mortarion, Lion El'Jonson stands apart. Partially this is due to his taciturn nature - a brooding silence hangs over him at all times. Yet there is something more... something buried beneath his noble exterior. Perhaps this is a result of his upbringing, growing to maturity alone in the monster-ridden forests of Caliban. Even at a council of war, the Lion moves like an apex predator. He is always watching, always planning, always hunting. He unnerves even his brothers." Partially the lion is brick wall but very dangerous one.
Weirdly, Russ plays at the beast, while hiding a Warriors spirit and intellect, while Lion plays at the Knight, while being an absolute fucking monster every moment he is able. Dude went around during the Heresy just exploding Traitor Primarchs home planets.

Still though my four favorite primarch are lion el'jonson, ferrus Manus, Vulcan and corvus corax are my favorite loyalist primarch.
Horus when he first time met another primarch - Russ he was jealous of him and the thought that he will have to share Emperor's affection, but later he loved ALL of his brothers. Even the two "missing one". He showed his objection against erasing memory of the two primarchs.
guilliman and corvus got along more than well. They literally called each other the better one in their training sessions, while having a glass of wine in guillimans private quarters and talking about their past and their goals after the war. Corvus even calls guilliman his older brother for listening to him and answering his questions. Corvus was also bros with leman, saving him and admiring the fenrisian honor and warrior culture, and the idea of a "good death" He also couldn't stand fulgrims pride and arrogance, I quote:" boarding the ' pride of the Emperor( fulgrims ship) felt like being g punched repeatedly in the face by a perfumed fist. I was glad to be of it" to which guilliman laughed.
Perturabo _did_ actually have a friendship with Magnus, to the point where when Magnus asked Perturabo to build a telescope that could see into the Warp, he did it. Granted he destroyed it in front of Magnus, but that was basically to say "This stuff is dangerous and maybe there's a reason we shouldn't be looking into it." so it was Perty, looking out for Magnus
I think the Lion actually had a fairly decent relationship with a few Primarchs that just isnt explored in the actual Novels, I remember hearing something about Lion and Khan getting along quite well though I cant remember exactly where from. I'm pretty sure Lion was one of only two Primarchs invited by Dorn onto the Phallanx, so that could suggest a good relationship between Lion and Dorn. Kurze said he felt he had more in common with the Lion than any other Primarch and given the Lions nature, he might not have been very critical about Kurze's way of war as Lion was a hell of a pragmatist, so they could have got on fairly well. Honestly I think it would be easy for the Lion to get along with most, if not all of his Brothers, he's comfortable exercising every form of warfare so there shouldnt be any clashes over methodology, and the Lion's pragmatism, sense of chivalry and honour, should really go a long way with a lot of his Brothers. Unless some writer decides that the Lion's gene flaw is being socially awkward, I just chalk his interpretations of being distant and dickish as poor characterisation and writing and to be fair, most examples of such are in his older writing and short stories. Also, one thing i find kind of annying about how the Lion is handled in the Heresy reguarding his relationship with his brothers (or lack there-of) is the fact that the very first Horus Heresy Novel to cover the Lion and the Dark Angels (Descent of Angels) lays down a decent framework for the Lions character and suggests that the Lion should be overjoyed at the existance of his Brothers and frankly has every reason to want to get to know them. The Lion is a fairly distant character in that book because despite his attempts, its difficult for the Lion to relate to Mortal men, because he's so beyond them, as soon as Zahariel slays the 2nd Calibanite Lion, Literally the only person to achieve a feat equal to that of the Lion, the Lion goes out of his way to praise him and then has a one on one talk in which the Lion outlines all his hopes for the future of Caliban and the Order and Zahariel instantly becomes one of the Lions top boi's, the Lion also said he'd love to hear how Zahariel managed to kill the Calibanite Lion. The fact that it turned out Zahariel was a psyker the whole time might have been one of the reasons the Lion sent him with Luther back to Caliban, because the Lion realised that it wasnt because Zahariel had managed to match one of the Lions feats through skill or strength or intelect, but because he had magic on his side. Luther Described him as the most gifted man in the world, a master at anything he set his mind on, Luther explains that while the Lion does certainly have a sense of humour, it's just that his intelect was so advanced that nobody actually got his jokes.
I feel that Lion wasn't sociable because he understood his role and his role didn't require being sociable. Other Primarchs got tied up in their humanity and their emotions, Lion knew he was a weapon, knew his role, and sought to master it. "Horus is feted as a diplomat, and with good reason, for he can be charming and persuasive when he wants to be. However, never let it be said that the Lion is without subtlety in this regard, for he too can judge his interactions with finesse. The Lord of the First is simply rather less concerned about everyone loving him." “He had overseen the extermination of countless billions. Such was his duty, his special place within the pantheon of warlike avatars who served their father’s ambitions, and though he took no joy from it, nor did he question its justice. His brothers thought him unquestioningly ruthless and they were right. They believed that he would expend any resource, even the lives of his own sons, to prosecute the imperium’s wars, and they were right. They said that he had not shed a single tear at such losses, not even after the annihilation of the Rangda has seen his legion’s strength struck in half, and again they were right. They thought these things a criticism of him.” When Duriel ordered the withdrawal, many of the Lion’s sons would die. This, he knew. “I have my duties to honour, my son. As they have theirs.”
@@Ryuzakku while most of this seems true, I do think the Lion cared about his sons, like in the short story where Nemiel dies, not only does he regret killing him but he also sees the corpses of other 1st Legionaries and he is grieved by their loss. I think hes pragmatic and accepts the loss of his sons, but i do think he cares about them.
@@LCliffhanger I believe he likely cared about them as well, but that was secondary to their duty. Lion would not put the well being of his astartes, or even himself, above completing the objective, which is something he does not share with the likes of Guilliman/Dorn/Horus/Magnus/Lorgar/Vulkan/Corax/Sanguinius/Russ/Mortarion/Fulgrim (pre daemon)/Ferrus/Jaghatai, but it is something he shares directly with Alpharius, where lives given in pursuit of the objective of the legion are considered necessary, and with Perturabo where lives are a resource.
I personally think Vulcan and Konrad's relationship is the most interesting They're literally the opposite of eachother One is loving and caring, extroverted, bald and black, will fight until he dies And the other is a fucking monster who does everything to not fight and is pale and has long flowing black hair
There's a bit of a difference between fighting until you die knowing you'll respawn and avoiding certain death believing in the death by the hand of an assassin you see in your dreams every night

Gulliman and Lion also kinda have a bond in the novel, when lion visits ultramar, it is said that lion is one of the few of his brothers he look up to wkwkwk it is also kinda funny that he dissed lion's spectacle show of arrival at that time as lion's way of showing off, like when lion's space ship come landing in sync with his legion's space ships, Gulliman's basically said, " yep, he's showing off" he said this a few times for basically whatever lion did at his arrival even Gulliman's mother dissed gulliman for his acid jealousy
I think Gulliman said that he wanted of anybody for it to not be the Lion. He only ever looked up to the Lion and I think Sanguinius was the other one, maybe Horus. Russ definitely did not hate Angron. The reason he went to meet Angron was because he felt like he is older brother and he wanted to save him and his legion from making a mistake.
It must be so infuriating for Russ to have legit have Angron dead to rights, and have Angron be too angry and dumb to admit it. So that afterwards, Angron talks mad shit about beating Russ, and Russ has to try to amend the record about how "oh, well I really did have him, even if he didn't know it"
@@majorkill I don't think that Russ cared a lot about losing or not losing to Angron. He still did care about him. The most hated primarch for Russ is supposed to be Magnus. Yet when Russ arrived to Prospero he was still trying to capture Magnus and not kill him. Also the moment Russ "started to hate" Magnus was when Magnus and his legion used their warp powers against SW and one of the TS mutated into warp spawn. So to me it's still not Russ hating Magnus but Russ caring about his brother who is abusing warp powers and since reason to attack SW by TS was to protect a fucking library Russ might also be concern about Magnus' loyalty. If he cared more about knowledge than Emperor's will and his brothers. And since Russ is the executioner he did not want to kill Magnus.

I'd add the Horus hated Papa Smurf Intensely as It envied his ability to perform while planning a battle, and Rogal despised the convoluted tactcs of Alpharius for being "inefficeint and self incensing" instead of going straight to the point. Fulgrim did not liked the primarch of the ll Legion: in a brief discussion about how he flet about some of his brothers he states that the II primach was quite dull and didn't knew what punchline was. Leman Russ had great respect for Sanguinius and Konrad as warriors, stating he probably couldn't beat them in a fight. He was the usual self inflated douschebag as he did not even consider Perturabo and Jagatai, the first badassly tanking and the proceding to mauling down into submissio a Demonic Angron alone, while mocking him for his weakness; the second murdering by himself a whole Ork Fortress his legion could not conquer and then proceding strangling a Greater demon of Slanesh, ripping out his hearth barehanded. The less appreciated of the primarchs was The Kahn, never considered as a great warrior, a great strategist or a reliable ally. The Wolf didn't liked him after the accident where he refused to help him during the Horus Heresy, but the Kahn was very close to Magnus and Russ had just destroyed his legion. Curiously the Kahn was, relatively speaking, in good terms with Mortarion probably because he saw him as another outcast among brothers and because he could see behind the mask he put in front of himself. Makes sense then Horus sent Mortarion to try to sway him on Prospero, but it didn't end well. Honestly, among all the Primarchs, I think Sanguinius and Jagatai had an instinctive bond between them, not because of a particular affinity in purpose or philosophy, but because, somehow, they both could "feel" the terrifying Monster lurking inside the other and because they knew, both, somehow, could be trusted to keep it in check.
Of note regarding the lost primarchs is that at least one story implies that they had at least encountered Horus before disappearing. The story in question being one where Horus, Jaghatai and Alpharius (or Omegon) confront Malcadoe for censoring them from all records so it was if they never existed, and Malcador psykers the shit out of Horus before big baldy can say their names
I am saddened you haven’t mentioned Khan and Magnus’s close friendship. They both had a deep respect for scholarship and wisdom. The Burning of Prospero events actually had a great impact on Khan during Horus Heresy. The Khan was very saddened to hear what happened to Magnus. So he went to talk with a Magnus shard. They really loved and respected each other.
I think that Corax and Russ and a good relationship. The examples come from their interaction on Yarant with Corax admitting Russ had taught him Fenrisian. Russ also stood up Corax at Gate 64 when Perty called him a coward and traitor.
I remember in Alpharius' book, he had a lot of respect for the Lion, not sure how good the relationship was, but I hope we eventually get more illuminating content of Alpha Legion and their primarchs.
@@heitorpedrodegodoi5646 There are no woman primarchs. If there were then Emperor would said to Horus about it. For example when Horus met Russ for the first time. Emperor said that Russ is only first of his BROTHERS. Emperor didn't used word "siblings" or "brothers and sisters"

For example he and Dorn also despised each other and Guiliman hated Alpharius, additionally though it isn’t confirmed it is hinted at that there was a relationship between Alpharius and the Lion or at least that Alpharius respected the Lion
Yes, I know, late to the show, but here's a few thing to add : - Ferrus had a personnal chamber (maybe in his own capital ship ?) named the "enclumarium", a wonder of technology. From memory, only Vulkan was ever invited inside for a friendly talk. I don't remember any mention of Fulgrim entering it, so it's something worthy to mention. - Leman Russ carried a boltgun named "Scornspitter" (if memory is right) who was his regular handgun until Vulkan reforged it after a common campaign of both VI and XVIII. Despite using it rarely, Leman always had it in his possession, a gift from a great friend. After all, considering how they both treat their own sons... a fenrisian feast with salamander BBQ options... a match made in heaven.
The Khan spoke on behalf of Magnus at the Council of Nikea because they were so close, Magnus and Perturabo were also far closer than you bring up, and Perturabo was actually suspicious of Horus and eventually resented him for constantly sending the Iron Warriors on terrible jobs over and over
Guilliman had some some hard discussions with some of his loyal brothers due to his bourocratic obsession. He face many resistance from Rogal and the Lion when he creates the Codex Astartes and decides to split the legions in smaller chapters. Also, about the 2nd and 11th Legions, there is a xxxxx relationship between some of then, but they are forbidden to tell, likes Guilliman let 2 empty chairs on their table and mant mourn their fates for what happen to then. Anyway, great video Majorkill, please bring timmy back!
I think going along with that, Prospero Burns or one of the space wolves books it talks about Leman regretting having to kill the 2nd and 11th primarchs and a conversation with Malcador or the Emperor he mentions that too and actually gets a little sympathy over being the one designated to kill his brothers. It might help explain why he then goes on to spare other primarchs when he has them at his mercy, expect Magnus I guess he was a little too happy to fuck up Magnus.
@@tonyriemenschneider8745 Well in one of the HH Space Wolf books, ( i cant rember any HH titles) it's told from perspective of human Kasper that was accidentaly shot by Space Wolfes and they then given him some neat body augments. He was ready to go against Horus orders wanted to take him to Terra.
I'm highkey disappointed we never got the Khan fully back in TTS, becuz I'd LOVE to see how he interacted with reformed Magnus, Dorn, and the Fabulous Custodes.
From what I gather alpharius has a lot of respect for the lion as he revealed himself on the DL then went off to find omegon during the randang shit. Due to all that time spent with Horus he and omegon grew that bond. Alpharius likes to keep to himself watching everything play out
I have always wanted to see an interaction between perturabo and mortarion or konrad and mortarion or even konrad and angron all would be very interesting to explore
@@alfieingrouille1528 well a more serious reply would be. Mortarion probably hated Perturabo a *lot* just on the basis of Pert having a pretty good life growing up and still having the nerve to be miserable, first world problems basically. Konrad probably was scared shitless of Angron because Konrad hated straight fights and Angron was a monster in one, but at the same time saw something of himself in him as they where the two craziest of the Primarcs. Konrad probably liked Morts willingness to use rad weapons and chemical warfare but that's probably about it as again I don't think he would want to fight literally the toughest Primarcs in a fight. Perturabo probably liked how the Death Guard was was ran, but probably saw Mort as kind of boring as a person.
@@daltonbecker4494 I had a cool idea for a traitor legion team up that I think would work really well first konrad and the nightlords would terrify people of a planet and assinate their political and military leaders perturabo and the iron warriors would then proceed to siege the hell out of a planet/city destroy all it's infrastructure and military bases then to finish of mortarion and the deathguard would sweep in completely exterminating any remain people with chemical and rad weapons cleansing it of life I truly believe that would be a horrifyingly effective trio just imagine a joint campaign all of them working together
I remember that despite not interacting much, Perturabo respected Vulkan for his craft. When he and Fulgrim we're talking and Fulgrim said Vulkan was a savage, Perty defended Vulkan by saying he was much more than that.
Magnus was actually very popular. He was the favorite brother of The Kahn, Perturabo and Lorgar, since he was the one who respected all of them and genuinely enjoyed spending time talking with them. He was also on good terms with Sanguineous and Vulkan, and Horus is a given. The ones who hated him were Leman "Furry Fuck" Russ and "Smelly" Mortarion. Also, Angron hated being around him cuz he made what's left of his brain hurt. So, the ones who hated Magnus were the ones nobody liked anyway.
well, no leman never actually hated magnus, in fact it wasnt until magnus used his warp fuckery on the SW did leman start to dislike him, and even then Leman did not want to kill his brother. in a book i believe, i dont remember which, some marines were surprised about how familial leman and magnus acted around each other
Pretty late but in Savage Weapons. The Lion says that he thought Curze could be his closet brother, since non of the other primarchs grew up without civilization for so long like him.
You forgot about the part where Vulkan gave Dorn a hug during the siege of Terra and that's how TTS adornable centurion was made. All because Vulkan gave Rogal som much needed bro hug.
Dorn and Guilliman were two Primarchs that Horus always sought to gain the approval of with actions and decisions he made. Obviously he didn't need their approval but it made him feel better to have it. I also like the scene where Vulkan hugged Dorn and Dorn was all "....yeah good to see you too" I got the sense that Dorn did love his brother and was happy for the affection but it threw him for a loop because he isn't used to that kind of thing and he doesn't show emotion too well.
Loads of people have already touched on the Khan and Magnus relationship. The other Primarch the Khan loved was Horus. Early in the Heresy is of interest here as the Khan best friends were on the side of Chaos so many thought they would also side with Horus. I do like how the Khan sought to find out what had happened before choosing a side. There is a great quote from the Khan going along these lines. "I fight for a father I never loved against a brother I did. I defend an empire that never wanted me against those who would have taken me in a heartbeat."
The two unknown primarchs were liked or respected enough that Horus and I think The Khan and Perty confronted Malcador on Terra about their statues and other information being removed from Imperial knowledge and records. Edit: Also it's funny that Fulgrim and the Khan didn't like each other. Because apparently they were supposed to land on each other's planets, rather than the ones they did land on. Think about the SM legions before their Primarchs returned. The Khans legion fit more with the mining planet Fulgrim landed on. And Fulgrim would have fit in well with the "savages". He would have found the beauty in their hearts and ideals of freedom and honor.
Yeah, them two switching planets has always confused me. The only way I can figure it is that Fulgrim was supposed to land on the CIVILIZED parts of Chogoris, and then bring the whole planet into an enlightened new age of seeking perfection.
1:19 I choose to believe that in the line "he couldn't read or understand people very well", they're are separate clauses and that the Lion was illiterate.

The former will eventually result in a begrudged respect of the hierarchy, while the latter just makes people upset.
Night Lords were excellent at their job, which is why the Emperor turned a blind eye for so long. They barely ever used exterminatus, because they could just brutally slaughter one city and the rest of the planet fell to its knees, avoiding the need to kill a whole planet. Kurze was honest about his beliefs and died for them. Unlike pussy Corax who hid his spite towards his Terran born Raven Guard and resorted to throwing them into the meat grinder of of Battle of Gate Forty-Two, Konrad punished failures of his Night Lords openly and personally. Result: Night Lords each admire Konrad, despite him openly and honestly claiming he doesn't give a fuck about them. Terran Raven Guard formed renegade Ashen Claws who despise Corax. Konrad is on that sigma male grindset and normies are too weak to appreciate it.
I think most people saw the Khan as an outsider (rightly), but a few of his brothers respected his stoicism, his bravery, dedication and bluntness. Sanguinius in particular saw him as an odd bird, who'd rather fly off into the Void and never look back, but still was a loyal son despite the ideological differences.
Magnus and Jaghatai has a mutual respect and broship too, considering that Jaghatai left Russ to the Alpha Legion to go check up on Magnus' shattered soul on Prospero. That's real broship, trying to get both sides of a very tense conflict rather than immediately siding with that fuzzy lunatic, Leman.

7) Corax's personality was as hard to see as the man himself
8) He envied Sanguinious massively for his wings, not because of any tacticle reason but the sensation of flying must have been exhillerating.
9) He made Leman Russ smile once. The only true smile he think he's ever caused in his brother. He did so when being asked what his role was meant to be in the emperor's galaxy, to which Alpharius replied "I'm the one who keeps secrets"

To me the lion is very relatable that’s why I choose the dark angels as my legion
The Lord of the First is simply rather less concerned about everyone loving him."
“He had overseen the extermination of countless billions.
They thought these things a criticism of him.”
When Duriel ordered the withdrawal, many of the Lion’s sons would die.

@@LCliffhanger I believe he likely cared about them as well, but that was secondary to their duty. Also the moment Russ "started to hate" Magnus was when Magnus and his legion used their warp powers against SW and one of the TS mutated into warp spawn.

Honestly, among all the Primarchs, I think Sanguinius and Jagatai had an instinctive bond between them, not because of a particular affinity in purpose or philosophy, but because, somehow, they both could "feel" the terrifying Monster lurking inside the other and because they knew, both, somehow, could be trusted to keep it in check.

well, no leman never actually hated magnus, in fact it wasnt until magnus used his warp fuckery on the SW did leman start to dislike him, and even then Leman did not want to kill his brother. in a book i believe, i dont remember which, some marines were surprised about how familial leman and magnus acted around each other
@@MadraFiáin some marines include Azek Ahriman
Edit: What's 'SW' ?
Pretty late but in Savage Weapons. The Lion says that he thought Curze could be his closet brother, since non of the other primarchs grew up without civilization for so long like him.
The second primarch caught me off guard. I had a good laugh 🤣.
You forgot about the part where Vulkan gave Dorn a hug during the siege of Terra and that's how TTS adornable centurion was made. All because Vulkan gave Rogal som much needed bro hug.
Rogal despised Alpharius, which we see in praetorian of Dorn.
It was the lion and guilliman coz they were as good if not better at him in the crusade and management and stuff.

Do one about the primarch's relationships with their sons
I remember reading somewhere that Leman Russ and Lorgar surprisingly got along pretty well, with Leman respecting/sympathizing with Lorgar's religious attitude due to his own Fenrisian beliefs.
Leman is just a cool guy all around
Makes sense considering that Fenrisians were worshipping the Emperor from the beginning
Ehhhhhhhhh kinda of, but he also thought lorgar was a bit of a beta " I could spit on him and he'd fall down" referring to how much lorgar was trying to worship big E
weren't perturabo and magnus really close? i remember reading something about perturabo hugging and being concerd about magnus after an injury and him hating that his theater was used to persecute him
No father: Femboy
No Mother: Serial Killers
(Works for Primarchs too)
I liked Alpharius, but I was always disappointed by how he constantly allowed himself to be overshadowed by alpharius.
Vulcan is that one character in every anime that is so strong yet so kind and gentle until someone piss him off.
Konrad is like a pizza cutter - he's just pure edge all around, but in truth he's really dull and there's no point. He gets thrown away in a drawer and forgotten about, because there are countless other things that are better at the job.
*Hey! Fulgrim liked me! Well I think he did...*

@@konradcurze8942 In fairness to you, you did manage to achieve impressive victories with orders of magnitude lower casualties on all sides. Which was technically an ideal.
It's just you forgot the cultural scale impact and that people would rather die in a good fight and be genuinely overpowered, than be psychologically shocked into submission.
Result:
Night Lords each admire Konrad, despite him openly and honestly claiming he doesn't give a fuck about them.
Terran Raven Guard formed renegade Ashen Claws who despise Corax.
Konrad is on that sigma male grindset and normies are too weak to appreciate it.
Just got back from a long shift and saw that there’s a new major kill video, praise the emperor
Not gonna lie Khan and sangineous are my favourite relationship, absolute legends
