    Again, I REALLY want to emphasize, Woohoojin is still probably a great coach (I don't take much from them personally and look up to him business wise) but that still doesn't mean what he has done is right! I personally don't care as much as other people do, however I do know the feeling of being SCAMED out of my money due to a person claiming to be someone they aren't and faking their credentials to win over my trust to get PAID. I still think he is very smart and is quite LITERALLY living MY DREAM and I can't tell for sure what his intentions are. BUT, the reason I NEVER say I AM RADIANT in my videos and instead say PEAKED TOP 700 is because I HAVE NEVER REACHED RADIANT IN MY LIFE (even if I was one game away) which is why I NEVER used it to grow my channel and instead used MYSELF and MY OWN HARD WORK to achieve where I have gotten today. I didn't make this video to hate on him, I made this video to show you guys... anybody who wants to go down Woohoojins path and take the "easy route". Stand by your morals, trust your hard work, and do the right thing AND I PROMISE YOU, you will succeed in your goals with YOUR OWN HANDS. You do NOT need to cheat your way to get there and ruin the trust of the people that support you.
    okay yap session over, hope you guys have a great day, love you all who tuned in and watched!!! (especially the haters btw, each and every one of you are paying for my parents retirement so thanks again MWAH!!!)

      I highly doubt that was what actually happened. He's strict on questions, but not like that. He'll usually time someone out (not ban) if they ask something that is easily google-able. But asking a question that was answered earlier in a stream...seems highly unlikely, could have been a joke on someone who's a regular at most.

    I mean this is the first contact with this drama and all of this, this is something I first need to do research on. But this perspective is extremely rare in these situations. My thing with coaching (I had looked up to some Football Managers before Guardiola, Mourhino, Klopp for example) is that they can come from ANYWHERE. In OW1, for a while a coach named Crusty was considered the GOAT Coach and now has the job of Coaching the most Stacked Team itw in OW2 (Team Falcons. The guy was known to be plat at best... Coaches punch above their weight if they are good enough, and the best do and can do that for players as well. That's why they are coaching and the players are playing. I harbor no ill will to WHJ but man the effects on the coaching community will suck for everyone else as you said as trust will be EXTREMELY low now...

      Yeah I wouldn’t have cared or really said anything if he never claimed to be a radiant player similar to someone like NRG Chet. But in every single video he has made, he used his authority to win over peoples trust and use that to profit off of them, even if he meant to or not. It was very fucked and just want to shed a different light of what someone should NOT do even though you can catch a bag from it.

    honestly I don't even care that he got boosted (still bad). What really rubs me the wrong way is that he used to always say shit like "radiant players we woulds do this in X scenario" and then talk about how ascendants and immortals are shitters. He would always talk with such an ego. He also was so adamant against smurfing. This guy would ban people in his discord for absolutely no reason and be very mean to people at times. I remember simply talking about aim training and gaming mice in unrated with him one time and he started ragining at me saying I have no idea what im talking about when literally all I said was "i think tracking is an underrated skill for tac FPS". I've also seen him play ranked and hes kind of a dick to his teammates at times. I lowkey think that he got exposed because he pissed the wrong people off and had an ego not even because he was boosted.
    Ironically, he did help me improve a lot. But I started getting really skeptical when him and dopai did the radiant challenge, and it ended after like a week because hooj was stuck in immortal and dopai was well into radiant. I remember watching him DM and being like wait a minute this guy is definitely not THAT good.

    This is a weird situation. It feels like one of those moments where people they say graduated from x college, and using it as a way to advertise themselves, when in reality they actually didnt graduate. The redeeming part is they have the skillset and knowledge of what a person who graduated from x college would have. Woohoojin is undeniably a good player when it comes to strategies, game sense, and aim. His tips has helped me a lot even as an immortal player, and it makes me sad how he flexed a lot about him being radiant, only for the truth to arise. Also hypocritical as well to say he is against boosting…. If only he didnt take the cheap route, since we can all agree he can hit radiant without the boosting. I can see why he uses the radiant coach as a way to advertise though, radiant coach just sounds much more impressive than a “immortal coach” but the problem is it takes forever to hit the rank, and you need a constant win-streak. You have to play every day for hours to retain the rank, which many are competing for. People just glorify radiant players too much.

    • @rooneyFPS
      @rooneyFPS  7 місяців тому +4

      Which is why it makes it super impressive right? You not only need to spend hours a day grinding this game, but also compete against the best players in the world (pros). Even when I am in 400rr, I am constantly matched against pros so someone like woohoojin who continues to boast about being a rank he isn’t (especially a rank at that caliber) was very scummy to me especially since he was abusing the trust of his audience and quadruple downing on the lie.

      @@rooneyFPS I think instead of it being impressive, its such a toxic ranking system thats bad for the health of players. When you are any other rank under immortal, you stay where you are no matter what if you are not playing. If you are a grinding immortal player, if you are afk for days/weeks your ranking on the leaderboard becomes lower and lower. We all wants to be at the top, so this ranking system forces players to play more to rank higher, I admit it myself that seeing me place higher on the board was cool. This creates us all pressure to maintain or grind up our #, leading us to unhealthy behaviors like excessive gaming, stress, and neglecting other aspects of our lives. At the end the pressure to constantly grind for a higher placement, will take a mental and physical toll, hence why its a toxic ranking system. Instead of it being glorified the game devs should consider the potential impact of the ranking system on players’ health and to implement measures to promote balance and well-being.

    • @animeoeshonikako730
      @animeoeshonikako730 7 місяців тому

      @@xastric6944it’s not hypothetical if you add the fact of seeing how they play, their game sense, and aim into the equation. Another thing to note is, in valorant there are a crap ton of players who have a rank they DONT deserve. I remember when I was lower rank I thought higher ranked players were better, but low and behold when I finally reached a higher rank I was proved wrong. I have had both immortal and radiant teammates who play like bronze players, aim like an iron player who just started playing, and flame like a gold player thinking that they are a know it all. If a 2/18 radiant player in my team can be radiant, I don’t see why Woohoojin couldnt be.

    • @rooneyFPS
      @rooneyFPS  7 місяців тому

      1000% and that’s why I made this channel and instead of glorifying improvement through means such as playing 8 hours a day, I show that you can do it and reach a high rank and play with your hero’s, while also maintaining your health, realationships and academics.
      The reason I made this video is to prove you can do it without lying about your accomplishments. I was able to lose 100 pounds, play at a consistent top 1000 level, play with pros that I have idolized since I was 13, and maintain straight As in highschool while getting into university, and also building a youtube channel with no experience prior other than being able to talk okay.
      The main message is that you can do this while balancing your life and not lie about it. Again, what Woohoojin might not be as serious as other stuff and I don’t really care about any drama related stuff, but seeing an influencer like this who has such a large audience that looks up to him and disappointing them like that hurts as the goal that HE himself glorifies now seems impossible even for the Banana since he needed someone to boost him to it. No different then a fitness influencer selling a course and making educational videos on how to be ripped just like him all natually while he then gets exposed for using steroids ( still takes incredibly hard work but defeats the purpose of the message and brand he’s built and creates an unhealthy environment for everyone who believes in it)

    According to Woohoojin himself, what happened was that he made a deal with a student back in episode three that if the student could boost Woohoojin's main account to radiant, he would coach him or something
    he said that it was a cringe and stupid deal, and that he had never imagined the following that he was going to achieve and therefore got scared to admit that he'd been boosted in fear of losing his audience
    If Woohoojin is telling the truth, i think he deserves to keep his fanbase and move on like nothing happened

    i wanna clarify that i have a big problem giving people way more chances than they deserve
    having said that imo everyone is taking this too seriously, we are human and we make mistakes, people can change
    and in my eyes just fully openly admitting to a mistake or something you are not proud of is a great step towards being better, a step larger that most people i have known have ever achieve actually
    for me this means nothing as hooj has proven his worth multiple times over the time he has been a content creator
    edit: also i forgot to mention that he didnt go over his boosting before the drama and said he didnt bc he did not think it was important enough to even mention it, honestly i fully believe him and dont really think he ever tried to hide it

    • @rooneyFPS
      @rooneyFPS  7 місяців тому

      I totally agree with you statement that being open about your mistakes is okay, the problem was that it had to come to light from a random person that had too much time on their hands. (which is lowkey cringe as well)
      Again, I don’t think it is as serious as some people might think it is. But, for me who has been scammed before, it just sucks seeing someone lie about their credentials and profiting from it. Good for him that he apologized, but this video is more to steer people away not to do it because there are THOUSANDS and I mean THOUSANDS of people doing the exact same thing (faking their credentials in fitness, business, and now Valorant) and you should ALWAYS take the harder path rather than taking the easy way out.

    I don’t think it’s that big of a deal imo. I think people just want to tear down others to feel better about themselves. Of course its not right but I don’t think his advice would be “less efficient” if he didn’t hit a shiny rank. He was already high immortal 3 and consistently played in radiant lobbies and has been vouched by many coaches to easily be at a radiant skill level, just never made the real climb. He doesn’t charge for his VOD reviews and subbing isnt something anybody has to do. And if you sub/subbed to him because hes radiant and not because you follow his advice and want to support him you’re just an idiot.

      If you have the “ability” then why not do it yourself and the fact of the matter is he straight up lied to profit off people and gain authority over his audience.
      It just sucks seeing so many woohoojin glazers just not be able to understand what he did wrong and blindly follow him. It just promotes this kinda stuff from happening over and over and over again because there isn’t really a punishment in lying and abusing your audiences trust for money.

      People undervalue what they can do themselves and think that general advice is what makes them a good player. You are the reason why you were able to rank up so fast, don’t undermine your achievements because you think you learned it from somewhere else. My students especially, I do the thinking for them, they do the hard part which is actually taking action which for me is only like 10% of the work.
      So remember, no one got you there, unless you were coached by him specifically, but yourself.

    He's admitted he was wrong to do this back in 2021. He's been extremely apologetic about it. He had a good talk about the situation with his chat this morning and they brought up some issues that he didn't quite understand, and he understands it better now. (He says he has a low social IQ, I believe in the past he's said he's on the spectrum, so that makes sense he has terrible understanding of social things) He knows he fucked up. He says he has reached Radiant on his alt, but he doesn't want to reveal that account because he likes to be able to play the game without people knowing it's him so he's accepting being an Immortal Coach until he gets back to Radiant on Raze, an agent he struggles on. Starting April he said he's going to put aside coaching for a bit so he can focus solely on grinding everyday instead of the few days a week he was so he can prove he can hit Radiant.

This is something I don’t think I can really defend him on even if he is a “genuine” person. Congrats to him thst he is improving himself and that’s all I ask for, but just making this video to promote to never do this ever, because it simply isn’t right to profit off of people and quite literally make hundreds of thousands of dollars form faking your achievements.
