Instead of it being glorified the game devs should consider the potential impact of the ranking system on players’ health and to implement measures to promote balance and well-being.
@@xastric6944it’s not hypothetical if you add the fact of seeing how they play, their game sense, and aim into the equation. Another thing to note is, in valorant there are a crap ton of players who have a rank they DONT deserve. I remember when I was lower rank I thought higher ranked players were better, but low and behold when I finally reached a higher rank I was proved wrong. I have had both immortal and radiant teammates who play like bronze players, aim like an iron player who just started playing, and flame like a gold player thinking that they are a know it all. If a 2/18 radiant player in my team can be radiant, I don’t see why Woohoojin couldnt be.
1000% and that’s why I made this channel and instead of glorifying improvement through means such as playing 8 hours a day, I show that you can do it and reach a high rank and play with your hero’s, while also maintaining your health, realationships and academics. The reason I made this video is to prove you can do it without lying about your accomplishments. I was able to lose 100 pounds, play at a consistent top 1000 level, play with pros that I have idolized since I was 13, and maintain straight As in highschool while getting into university, and also building a youtube channel with no experience prior other than being able to talk okay. The main message is that you can do this while balancing your life and not lie about it. Again, what Woohoojin might not be as serious as other stuff and I don’t really care about any drama related stuff, but seeing an influencer like this who has such a large audience that looks up to him and disappointing them like that hurts as the goal that HE himself glorifies now seems impossible even for the Banana since he needed someone to boost him to it. No different then a fitness influencer selling a course and making educational videos on how to be ripped just like him all natually while he then gets exposed for using steroids ( still takes incredibly hard work but defeats the purpose of the message and brand he’s built and creates an unhealthy environment for everyone who believes in it)
I’ve been trying to consistently watch his vods so I could get better, I saw someone else do that but I couldn’t get over his ego and it was really hard for me to watch when he was just very rude to others. Sure I did learn a few things but I always got the vibe that whatever he says is the best way to do something and it always came across as this “defining moment” like he solved world hunger or something lol. I was just like bfr. I just set it aside and tried to improve myself, but now that this has come out, it all kinda makes sense lololol. But ur cool Rooney 😎
According to Woohoojin himself, what happened was that he made a deal with a student back in episode three that if the student could boost Woohoojin's main account to radiant, he would coach him or something he said that it was a cringe and stupid deal, and that he had never imagined the following that he was going to achieve and therefore got scared to admit that he'd been boosted in fear of losing his audience If Woohoojin is telling the truth, i think he deserves to keep his fanbase and move on like nothing happened He's still a great coach if you ask me
I am more than good at reading people just by listening to them. That guy is skillful, no one can take that, but dear God he is so full of himself. His attitude is awful, the way he reacts to some questions and plays is cringe. He acts like he has won VCT 5 times in a row. Even then you need to be grounded and nice, he is one rotten banana.
why do people care so much that he was boosted, he still gives really good advice. even if he isn’t radiant or the best of the best as a player, he gives much better explanations and is more entertaining than pretty much every other channel
Don't trust them too an extent, just know what you are doing it for and do it for the support of the person and not for the value they bring. Hopefully I can be the person to be both likeable and ACTUALLY give value to my audience.
Really good video man. Great mature approach. I will say the boosting situation is quite odd in my opinion. Like he is a great coach and definitely helps many people. But he should have definitely not done it
i wanna clarify that i have a big problem giving people way more chances than they deserve having said that imo everyone is taking this too seriously, we are human and we make mistakes, people can change and in my eyes just fully openly admitting to a mistake or something you are not proud of is a great step towards being better, a step larger that most people i have known have ever achieve actually for me this means nothing as hooj has proven his worth multiple times over the time he has been a content creator edit: also i forgot to mention that he didnt go over his boosting before the drama and said he didnt bc he did not think it was important enough to even mention it, honestly i fully believe him and dont really think he ever tried to hide it
I totally agree with you statement that being open about your mistakes is okay, the problem was that it had to come to light from a random person that had too much time on their hands. (which is lowkey cringe as well) Again, I don’t think it is as serious as some people might think it is. But, for me who has been scammed before, it just sucks seeing someone lie about their credentials and profiting from it. Good for him that he apologized, but this video is more to steer people away not to do it because there are THOUSANDS and I mean THOUSANDS of people doing the exact same thing (faking their credentials in fitness, business, and now Valorant) and you should ALWAYS take the harder path rather than taking the easy way out.
@@rooneyFPS damn loving that dedication 🫡. I still remember when you told us to start working out in one of your valorant rank up guides. You’re not just a valorant coach, your a life coach as well 🤣

The background footage is Soar Tenji, he is an absolute beast at the game and allowed me to use his background footage for the video (Because I have negative time now to pump out videos and play the game lmao 💀)
For me personally, even if he did lie about his rank the stuff he does teach is still good advice. Was it a shitty thing to do ? Absolutely but it still doesn't discredited his advice. And apparantly he's gonna cancel all coaching until he hits radiant solo queue on stream so good for him i suppose.
Makes me think of a time someone came into a hooj chat and asked him to prove he was ever radiant after he shit on hooj in comp and got banned after about 5 minutes of asking sure it does seem troll but now it makes sense lol
nah coaches imo dont NEED to be radiant in order to coach at the level, its the fact that wooj helped others get to their ranks that they wanted, even coaching immo’s. if his skill into the game is not as good as his head is, then yes that would make sense. He is able to explain things at the kind of level, even making people who are iron understand, be also has a good rate for his coaching too, meanwhile people jollz who charge by the hour can go up to hundreds and people but it
Brother, that is just not the point of the video. The point is to not lie to win over authority with others and abuse their trust for your own personal gain. It sets a very terrible precedent for other creators to come in and do the EXACT same thing without any repercussions which takes away the opportunities for people who actually deserved it and took the steps in LEARNING WHAT ThEY PREACH.
@@rooneyFPS the difference between wooj and other cc who may promote themselves as radiant (who may actually be asc-immo) is that he clearly still has the analytical skills and brain of someone who is a high level, most other coaches will just repeat what others say that is already basic info once you hit bronze. He clearly goes far more in depth than others while also making it free and entertaining, making it feel more of a hobby than a job if you want to succeed in the game. Are there other cc who have hit radiant and provide information? Yea, there are, but that doesn’t mean we should value their opinion over others, same with woohoo
So should I still listen to woohoojin's advice. Are his videos still good sources of information on how to play the game. Is his aimlabs playlist still good for aim training. I used to respect him so much but now I don't know what to do.
You can 100% still do that and I think he is a great outlet for newer players. However, just use this experience to grow like he does and to not trust people so easily online.
And that’s fine as the video doesn’t really go over that. It talks about taking the harder path and not taking short cuts with the expense of other people’s trust
Obviously he did it on purpose to take the easy way to gain credentials, the account was even in JeyG's name so hes definitely a scumbag. Not because he did it but because hes been lying about it and all of a sudden the vods get removed. He's lost my respect because he's boosted and continues to lie about hitting Radiant on some unknown account that noone has ever seen, or cant vouch for him that they've seen it, he's trying to stay somewhat face and those intentions are what is trash. Though he makes good content, that cannot be denied, he would have never said anything if he weren't found out. Those people always have more skeletons somewhere!
even then, does that discard the fact that he lied to profit off the claim that he was a top 100 player in all of north America? Probably not... Do I care? Not really, just want to prevent other people from thinking to do the same to scam people out of their valuable time and money because I have gone through it before and it sucks.
@@yodaorcamaster_6358 He does, once he's back from Madrid, he's going ranked only since he was only grinding like 3 days a week. He's been getting coached from Dopai because as Hooj admits... "I suck at Raze," but it's a goal his community set for him. He has to hit Radiant on Raze before he can go back to controller main on his main account.
I think he could be forgiven if he actually went on stream and hit radiant solo que, also what are your color settings? i have my digital vibrance all of the way up and my game isint nearly as bright as yours lol
I don’t think it’s that big of a deal imo. I think people just want to tear down others to feel better about themselves. Of course its not right but I don’t think his advice would be “less efficient” if he didn’t hit a shiny rank. He was already high immortal 3 and consistently played in radiant lobbies and has been vouched by many coaches to easily be at a radiant skill level, just never made the real climb. He doesn’t charge for his VOD reviews and subbing isnt something anybody has to do. And if you sub/subbed to him because hes radiant and not because you follow his advice and want to support him you’re just an idiot.
I think it's fair to give him the benefit of the doubt (considering this is his first drama). He did promise on his discord that he will be stopping his coaching sessions and be streaming until he hits radiant (on raze).
If you watch quite literally ANY of his guide videos, he false advertises that he is too 100 in all of NA every single time to win authority over his viewers. It’s like if I said I had a phd in psychology and gave you advice on self/improvement but it turns out I paid to get it online to hang it up on my wall to profit off you guys. I just want to make aware to people to not do the same because of woohoojins success, understand who it affects, and just be a better person than yesterday.
Ok so if you say that woohoojin is not giving the right coach sessions. Then how i can improve to get Radiant or at least Immortal in valorant i am Hardstuck Plat 2 - 3 and can't get out of It so how i can get better?
Though what he did was wrong he changed. He already had the ability to get to radiant he just took the easy way with jeyg, since he made a deal that if he (jey g) boosted him he would coach him.
If you have the “ability” then why not do it yourself and the fact of the matter is he straight up lied to profit off people and gain authority over his audience. It just sucks seeing so many woohoojin glazers just not be able to understand what he did wrong and blindly follow him. It just promotes this kinda stuff from happening over and over and over again because there isn’t really a punishment in lying and abusing your audiences trust for money. But oh well, he caught a bag, just want people to learn from this experience rather than defend something that is just obviously the wrong thing to do no matter the amount of people you helped
@@rooneyFPS your right as i said what he did is wrong, and people who did spend money on him probably feel scamed, which is why he could probably redeem himself, in if a case he wants to redeem himself he'll have to get to radiant on his own while streaming. And honestly I only respected him, when this happened I felt lied to, but still thought that there was somthing to it. Of course isn't really a big deal to people like me who didn't spend money.
People undervalue what they can do themselves and think that general advice is what makes them a good player. You are the reason why you were able to rank up so fast, don’t undermine your achievements because you think you learned it from somewhere else. My students especially, I do the thinking for them, they do the hard part which is actually taking action which for me is only like 10% of the work. So remember, no one got you there, unless you were coached by him specifically, but yourself.
Honestly I think he should be fine since he apologized and honestly it’s not like he can’t hit radiant I mean he’s good enough to coach radiant. However I think it will be better if he can hit radiant with his raze series then he should be fine. Plus I like a lot of other coaches he does most of his stuff for free and give valuable advice.
He's admitted he was wrong to do this back in 2021. He's been extremely apologetic about it. He had a good talk about the situation with his chat this morning and they brought up some issues that he didn't quite understand, and he understands it better now. (He says he has a low social IQ, I believe in the past he's said he's on the spectrum, so that makes sense he has terrible understanding of social things) He knows he fucked up. He says he has reached Radiant on his alt, but he doesn't want to reveal that account because he likes to be able to play the game without people knowing it's him so he's accepting being an Immortal Coach until he gets back to Radiant on Raze, an agent he struggles on. Starting April he said he's going to put aside coaching for a bit so he can focus solely on grinding everyday instead of the few days a week he was so he can prove he can hit Radiant.
Ay man, if that is what you believe so be it. However, from someone who has been scammed myself by people who quite literally just lie about their credentials. This is something I don’t think I can really defend him on even if he is a “genuine” person. Congrats to him thst he is improving himself and that’s all I ask for, but just making this video to promote to never do this ever, because it simply isn’t right to profit off of people and quite literally make hundreds of thousands of dollars form faking your achievements.
He's a liar he doesn't have a Radiant alt account. Don't fall for it, are you telling me he doesn't comm on his alt account? Someone will know it's him somewhere yet there's no proof, he chose to withhold that he's boosted because it's in his best interest to do so because that's what people do. All of a sudden JeyG's vods are gone? People like that always have more skeletons to hide. It's not a big deal, he's a good coach just see it as him trying to save whatever face is possible.
@@DrawAndErase He's stated this for a while now, before this whole situation, that he uses a voice changer when he plays on his alt so he doesn't get recognized that way he can just chill and play.
@@DrawAndErase JeyG deleted them because HE'S getting harassed too. People like you going around harassing people over a video game and a PNG.
I’m pretty cool guy 🤓
According to Woohoojin himself, what happened was that he made a deal with a student back in episode three that if the student could boost Woohoojin's main account to radiant, he would coach him or something
he said that it was a cringe and stupid deal, and that he had never imagined the following that he was going to achieve and therefore got scared to admit that he'd been boosted in fear of losing his audience
If Woohoojin is telling the truth, i think he deserves to keep his fanbase and move on like nothing happened
He's still a great coach if you ask me

Still like his content very good for people in low elo trying to climb. His over aim drill has helped me a ton!
Keep doing what you’re doing, you will keep growing and you can eventually hit radiant. (If you feel like it)
nah I will just fake it and prey on my audience rawr
why do people care so much that he was boosted, he still gives really good advice. even if he isn’t radiant or the best of the best as a player, he gives much better explanations and is more entertaining than pretty much every other channel
Is the background clips You? What rank are u? That's some really clean gameplay
I’m personally a peak top 700 player but this is a guy named Soar Tenji who is the goat
Great vid, I now know not to “trust people on the fucking internet” lmao 😭
Keep up the great work
Don't trust them too an extent, just know what you are doing it for and do it for the support of the person and not for the value they bring. Hopefully I can be the person to be both likeable and ACTUALLY give value to my audience.

Great video by the way! Just gained a new subscriber
Really good video man. Great mature approach. I will say the boosting situation is quite odd in my opinion. Like he is a great coach and definitely helps many people. But he should have definitely not done it
i wanna clarify that i have a big problem giving people way more chances than they deserve
having said that imo everyone is taking this too seriously, we are human and we make mistakes, people can change
and in my eyes just fully openly admitting to a mistake or something you are not proud of is a great step towards being better, a step larger that most people i have known have ever achieve actually
for me this means nothing as hooj has proven his worth multiple times over the time he has been a content creator
edit: also i forgot to mention that he didnt go over his boosting before the drama and said he didnt bc he did not think it was important enough to even mention it, honestly i fully believe him and dont really think he ever tried to hide it
I totally agree with you statement that being open about your mistakes is okay, the problem was that it had to come to light from a random person that had too much time on their hands. (which is lowkey cringe as well)
Again, I don’t think it is as serious as some people might think it is.
W video, very informative

The background footage is Soar Tenji, he is an absolute beast at the game and allowed me to use his background footage for the video (Because I have negative time now to pump out videos and play the game lmao 💀)
For me personally, even if he did lie about his rank the stuff he does teach is still good advice. Was it a shitty thing to do ? Absolutely but it still doesn't discredited his advice. And apparantly he's gonna cancel all coaching until he hits radiant solo queue on stream so good for him i suppose.
I mean he still has great videos to learn from, FOR FREE. He isn’t hurting anyone except for those paying some of his videos ranked me up a lot so….
what are your videosettings in the first few clips? i usually hate any and all video settings bc of ocd so i would like to know if that is fine
W video Rooney, no hate on Woohoojin, we all makes mistakes.
Lying to your audience for views and fame isnt a ”mistake”
Makes me think of a time someone came into a hooj chat and asked him to prove he was ever radiant after he shit on hooj in comp and got banned after about 5 minutes of asking sure it does seem troll but now it makes sense lol
I would start watching him again if he reached Radiant on stream.
Oh that’s why his aimlab playlist isn’t there any more

nah coaches imo dont NEED to be radiant in order to coach at the level, its the fact that wooj helped others get to their ranks that they wanted, even coaching immo’s. if his skill into the game is not as good as his head is, then yes that would make sense.
I think his content is great for being a “free vid review” coach. Better than most channels out there imo
i still gon watch his vids that help me on valo tho
And that’s fine as the video doesn’t really go over that. It talks about taking the harder path and not taking short cuts with the expense of other people’s trust
@@rooneyFPS real
4:40 why did you blur the names?
Lying worked good for him. He's a scam coach but successful.
If only he stream himself grinding and hit radiant then he can keep the radiant coach title
even then, does that discard the fact that he lied to profit off the claim that he was a top 100 player in all of north America? Probably not... Do I care? Not really, just want to prevent other people from thinking to do the same to scam people out of their valuable time and money because I have gone through it before and it sucks.
I believe that he now actually intends to stream grinding ranked and only ranked until he hits radiant now.
@@rooneyFPS nope, that is false marketing so he either put the "radiant" coach down or try to get it.
I think he could be forgiven if he actually went on stream and hit radiant solo que, also what are your color settings? i have my digital vibrance all of the way up and my game isint nearly as bright as yours lol
Maybe he color graded it during editing to look like this
I don’t think it’s that big of a deal imo.
How do you get boosted to radiant?
By buying the account or asking a friend who is a radiant player to just get it for you
wow, im finally early on new vid
STOP being inside my computer!
I like the fact that you said fucking a lot
I think it's fair to give him the benefit of the doubt (considering this is his first drama). He did promise on his discord that he will be stopping his coaching sessions and be streaming until he hits radiant (on raze).
Him being boosted stinks. But is it technically lying?
VOD reviewing, noting what your mistakes are, and focusing those points in your next matches is probably huge
okay im sorry but i have to know the name of the account that was blurred
the background gameplay is Soar Tenji, The absolute goat, he is quite crazy at the game.
@@rooneyFPSi was about to comment that this gameplay is sick lmao
Tbh I watch his vid last time and I saw him doing things that makes no sense in his game play
he didnt use it to promote himself though, he got boosted then rehit it himself then got his 800rr peak. that peak was self earned

Of course isn't really a big deal to people like me who didn't spend money.
i mean i got to gold from bronze 1 in an act cause of him so,,,,,
People undervalue what they can do themselves and think that general advice is what makes them a good player.
