    Found this exact same problem completely by accident while removing the air intake to replace the thermostat when my 2014 threw a P0128 code for that problem. Thanks a lot for taking the time to explain the purge valve / vacuum hose. One more thing to fix. If it's not one thing its another!

    I watch a lot of DIY car repair videos, and really appreciate short videos dense with information. Great job!

    I've had it for over a year. Annoying because I keep reseting code because it prevents remote start. Mine wasn't totally cracked off so I wrapped up really good with galvanizing rubber tape and then wrapped up with automotive wire loom clothe tape. Super easy fix!

    This happened to me on my 14 cherokee, this hose usually brakes from that point allways. But i think is better to change the entire Hose instead of heat and just do what he said. Emission Control Purge Hose is only $32 mopar original.

      Is the new hose a plug and play , pretty simple?
      If i cracked the white clip, is it neccesasry to get a replacement? does it serve a functional purpose?

    I’m having this same issue, evap code and I saw your video and I looked mine was cracked and then snapped on me. My car won’t start because of it. Once I get the part in I’m gonna replace it myself but I’m worried the car still won’t start after I replace. Do I need to reset codes or something after I fix it? I got electrical tape on it now and car still won’t start

    I can’t find the leak but same code should I just change it anyways? Great video by the way.

    I have a 16. And I have yet to find a video that matches my part. A hard plastic that connects to a woven line. The hard plastic is cracked, yes. But now to reset the engine light.

    I have the same problem on my 2014 jeep grand Cherokee but im getting code p0456... will this work for that code as well?

    • @MartinsUsedCarsCollectiblesLLC
      @MartinsUsedCarsCollectiblesLLC  3 роки тому +2

      PO 456 is probably the Purge Valve or the hose going to it.

    • @Enigma_V8
      @Enigma_V8 2 роки тому

      If you verified you have a cracked hose, then yes it's the same thing. 456 is "small leak" 455 is "large leak". When mine got bad enough it occationally did a P0455; it was only a P0456 for over a year before that.
