@@RBTheMechanic thanks brother!
Does anyone know what the part number for that actual hose is? I’m going to tape my wife’s but want to get the replacement hose also. Thank you!!
Sorry I couldn’t get this part durning pandemic
I had the same leak and cracked pipe a few months ago. Code came back. Changed purge valve canister. What should be my next step? I do not have a smoke machine. Just a diy guy that fixes most problems via UA-cam videos. Thanks for video! Great video
Well check for ESIN it’s in the back I have video on that
Here’s video on that ua-cam.com/video/sXaKFDt73-Q/v-deo.html
Is a clicking sound normal from the canister purge valve?
Yes
I had Check Engine light. Had exactly the same problem on my 2017 Jeep 5.7L. The crack was on the outside, easy to find..... Getting the tape out....
Nice good find
Thank alot for this video and explanation. Really helpful for pointing out areas to look for. Got a '17 WK2 w/5.8L and this code popped up today. Had a look at evap lines. Holy cow! I really think the engine heat are getting to the lines there. Those lines in the engine bay are heat-shrunk by alot. So much so that where the lines go over the barb fittings, the black tubing is stretched so much that they are literally white now. No splits though surprisingly enough. Thinking I'll have to have someone smoke it to see where my problem is.
Smoke test would be best way to find the leak
Thanks man I just found the same thing godless you
Good find!!!!
