- The Finals open beta is here and it's time to try to cashout and win a tournament. JackFrags, Stodeh and I dropped into the The Finals beta and tried to deliver some TOP gameplay.
To play The Finals beta simply go to the store on your device, be it on steam, xbox store of the playstation store and register for the beta, download and go. This is the first crossplay beta for The Finals so it's open to everybody.
There is currently a queue for the Finals open beta so you'll have to wait to get access. The game is super popular which is great to see and totally understandable. The servers have been crashing due to the unforseen popularity of this game and there is also the login error code 500 popping up on steam. Just keep trying and eventually it will work.
The Finals open beta period starts on October 26, and runs through to November 5.
The Finals has added new content as part of the open beta period including the new map Skyway Stadium, a new mode, as well as the classic game mode cashout on Monaco and Seoul.
This gameplay is a new review and first impressions of the Finals and is not sponsored, it is my honest first-hand experience and opinion on how the game feels.

Played with a friend last night. Couldnt stop laughing after we dropped a crane on an enemy team and sent them flying off the map. Pure fun with no interruption

This game is the most raw “fun” feeling I’ve had in years. Refreshing
100% it doesn't take itself to seriously, tons of variety. I think if they balance the classes right, we will have a good contender on our hands.
Same choomsky, last time i felt this was prolly trying out Quake 2 MP! It just blows my mind ppl are complaining this game is using voice over AI lines... like whaaat?! Go out touch some grass, hahaha.

The Finals is insane, getting in a lobby has been hard today with the insane boom in popularity breaking their servers, I'm sure it'll improve over the weekend and it's open cross-platform until the 5th of November so there's lots of time to play. Bare with them, they're victims of success and we shouldn't give them any hate for that! What do you think of the game?

this game will die within 1 year of its launch, go look at any game with nexon attached to it, they're all DEAD every single one of them.
I love the game because of the destructable environment and physics the playstyle and replayablity is always different
yeah its like the battlefield games where environments could be destroyed but in apex style
got bored after couple of hours...the meta is medic and 2 heavy with shields+flame and everything is just stale after that point
@@t19890204this is just a play test though. I think with a little tuning and refining they could fix that kind of stuff to be more balanced

One complaint I have is movement speed, it feels slow/sluggish.

Just got off the game after playing for about 2 hours with my cousin and I honestly haven't had that much fun playing a FPS in a longggg time. Very familiar mechanics yet refreshing at the same time. Really hope this game takes off!!

I think it was Stodeh that said during the stream that what this game needs to complete it is game modes from TF2. Modes like Payload or Control Point or even King of The Hill would change up the game play alot and make The Finals even more fun. It looks amazing though for a Beta, the graphics have improved so much from 7 months ago. I'm not sure if the decrease in destruction is a good thing, but I can see why they've done it.

Agreed, I think at least one "standard" team based came where it's 6 on 6 ot just a larger team based game with quicker respawns. Battlefield isn't cutting it so the closer we can get to a BC2/TF2 hybrid the better

@@koksuzmopsu6037 Maybe you won't like it but man I gotta say for me it's a lot of fun. On the last closed Beta I managed to gather 2 people to play with me and we played ranked for 4 days until we got to diamond. Best 50 hours I have had in recent gaming

This game is so good, everything feels so smooth and solid
This games awesome it feels so much better than the last beta. The last beta the movement felt FLOATY. Now the movement feels great almost like cod if I were to compare it to something. Also its optimized real nicely and a nice fast pace. Only thing I would like to see is attachments on weapons. I feel like it would be a great addition.
For me the movement still feels slow / sluggish.
It still feels pretty clunky and floaty to me so it must have been terrible before.
What do you think of the hip firing? It seems absolutely terrible most of the time.
I feel that the attachments on the weapons would greatly affect game fun but they need to do it
It's like Battlefield 1 but with Parkour and electronic music, for me it has been a pleasant surprise, it's very fun, once you learn to move around the map using your skills you can't stop playing.
With the appropriate support, this game can be a hit for players who want something different, the verticality of the maps and the destruction is wild.

Honestly, since the alpha this was one of my favourite games of all time, and now its definetly my favourite. All the new games are just so bad nowadays, or just the same as every other game you can play. This is definetly a breath of fresh air the shooter genre needed, and its going to blow up even more on release. Im happy for Embark, they created a novel masterpiece, and are managing everything so nicely. I already chatted/played with many devs and employes on discord, everyone is incredibly nice and helpful. This is a studio we should support. You can really feel that they are also gamers, and they are making games not only for the money but also cause they just love it. Let's hope they can teach a lesson to other big studios on how to make and manage a community

I played tonight for a little bit but I ran into a bug with the game with its mouse sensitivity can't go higher than 15% I have to constantly swipe to the side to move my camera becomes challenging if an enemy is close to me behind the corner

This game is genuinely incredible. The models are really good. The ttk feels perfect, the gameplay is really nice, barely any lag. It’s just incredible. The only problem I have is my team always sucks.

how can you queue up with friends? usually when I do that only the party leader gets in a game and I am still in the lobby. seems like many people in the official disc have this problem as well

I play this game as a backstabbing light with stealth, smokes and thermal vision. This evil combined with my buddy on sledgehammer heavy destroying everything possible makes it insanely easy to get behind people at any time, and I can pretend I'm playing Spy

Honestly if they have maybe 1-2 more game modes and a map or two more for launch? This is easily going to replace other shooters for raw fun PvP. This is what gaming is all about.

This is indeed a UE5 game, like you thought. Probably the Pre-Alpha was on UE4, but they've moved it over to 5 since the closed beta at the very least.
Just the lvl of Global Illumination & AO alone aren't possible on 4.

Well, makes sense that each body type excels in their respective category. Light class is all about maneuvering, medium support, chunky destruction. I see nothing wrong with current formula.

had an amazing time in the finals, absolute work of art! to bad you can duo queue tho and sniper does alittle to little damage up close in my oppinion but other then that its great.
The male announcer voice sounds AI now. I could have sworn it was a different voice in the previous betas, but now it sends to have the same cadence as that tts program I've seen a lot of people use.
