They even look into small constant dopamine deposits, much like other game devs. The most noticeable Is the sounds you hear in game, it's all been selected to appeal to our ears. You can't help but love the sounds of coins, upbeat music ect just all of the little things

LOVE THIS. I would love embark to start rolling out sponsors with the mechanics of a "get noticed" set of quests which when completed give you the opportunity to sign on with them, immediately getting a small cosmetic item that reflects the brand (like a sticker or wristband). After that you get regular quests which progress you towards more gear from the sponsor. The quest types would differ from sponsor to sponsor and require you to be using a brand item (like a sticker on your weapon, a hat with their logo, or a brand emote at match intros). If a sponsor cares more about their athletes winning than their individual performance, their progression track will contain more quests around winning different types of matches. Sponsors could value support, objectives, eliminations, a specific casual mode, competitive, or just exposure (completing matches with multiple of their items equipped). I love the idea of letting different character slots sign with different sponsors to allow for progression on multiple different tracks. I like keeping the battle pass being sponsored by one or two of the big corporations and having that be considered the exclusive deal with the finals.
Yes! I'm seeing a theme here with comments on this video where each sponsor wants different things from you. Like Ospuze wanting damage done in close range, or Holtow wanting damage blocked with gadgets. Really appreciate you taking the time to share what you liked most and adding details on top. I'm continuing this project from a new angle in the next video.
This is great! I love that The Finals is centered around you as a player and not a known contestant or legendary character with a backstory. It is you, the player. "Can YOU reach The Finals" is a very personal take on a FPS game and allowing us to customize our characters with the finest details really makes everyone unique. I love your take on allowing more players to shine through in-game sponsorships. There are currently 32 sponsors in The Finals Lore. That means there could be 32 individual players that could be featured throughout the game who make the leaderboards. That would be awesome.
Yeah! Embark spoke about this early on... about how they didn't want to build a typical hero shooter, they wanted you to create the hero. Ideas like this just take it a step further. Currently they have 2 sponsors per season sponsoring the game... and I think that's a good idea. Too many at once will be a little hard to follow and build rivalries. That said, I'm looking forward to them introducing more of the sponsors into the game, like Tristan+ which I've seen in maps already.

Broo this is so sick, just wondering if embark has the budget for something as big as this 😭since there’s basically no lore right now adding this much lore based content is prob gonna take up most of their resources. Would be a different story if the finals was a pay to play game tho but not sure if we’d beable to have a large enough player base. Read that the devs are heavily focused on the ranked system for next season right now, I think we’ll possibly be seeing a lot more postgame feedback on individual player performance.
I think it's a mix of budget and pacing. This kinda stuff is important, but it shouldn't be prioritized over gameplay. If they ever considered something like this I think they would start small and slowly add to it... kinda like they are already doing.

Great video, Ollie! I had to stop by and subscribe as a designer myself. I feel like something like this is the direction Embark should go in. It gives a sense of progression which I feel the game currently lacks.

I appreciate the support - and for what it's worth, I think Embark are heading in a great direction. They need to find the balance between fast updates, and slowing things down to make sure they are moving in the right direction with limited resources. We have the luxury of creating designs like this without any of the constraints they have. I'm going to keep making stuff like this though to signal what we as a community want more of less of... and I really appreciate the support from people like you showing what they agree or disagree with.

First of all, Great video. i love the visuals and how the UI looks. its CLEAN!!! I wanted to share my two sents about the idea of sponsors progression, its an insanely exiting idea that pulled me into the finals when i first saw the trailer and played the beta for the first time. it reminded me of something like the hunger games where everyone is watching you fight on the big screen. and the sponsors can send you something extra to help out, and this gave me two ideas inspired by the hunger games, bare with me for a sec... 1-Choosing a sponsor and completing a challenge will get you rewards, like a cosmetic item or an emote. but what if the challenge was not held for you only and was implemented for 1 winner the whole game. for example, you get a reward if you get the most cash boxes stolen in the game, or most healing done or revives. then you see on the billboards your name all over the map being currently on top, and if you stay on top till the end you win that reward. 2- The commentators were an element that i really enjoyed when i started, but we can also fit them in this sponsor progression system in a direct way. There was alot of talk about embark using AI to voice the commentators and that something that can be used to the finals advantage in a narative way and gameplay too. so if the commentators can comment unique voice lines for whats happening right now and point out how a player from the "high notes" for example is currently the highest reviving player in the game and how the sponsors want to give him a shout out for example, or announce how a player from the "Retros" has the highest eliminations right now and the sponsors wanna put a bounty for an extra cash and make him a target for a while. it will definitely make the games more unique and alive. I definitely like the idea of being the center of attention of all those spectators when playing, but currently i fell like that idea has alot of room to grow. and videos like this where the community can just throw around some ideas and the devs actually listening and engaging back with big spoons of content, is just excited and refreshing.
insane how this could revolutionise how progression works in games, really impressive concepts i would love to see implemented eventually. this idea almost feels limitless. really amazing :D

I don't comment very often here on UA-cam but your work is really impressive and will make for a great immersive experience for the playerbase. Using the sponsors as some kind of motivation is something I've only seen in NSS (pretty old mobile game i used to play). I hope Embark sees this video and try to implement it ASAP! Although it may be difficult in the beginning.
They've already done so much of the work building lore around the sponsors - I can't imagine they're not going to use them more... but yeah. I hope it's more integrated with the gameplay. Thanks for the support. Means a lot!

That's why I mentioned you could pick a different sponsor for each of your 6 contestants. In theory you could have a light, medium, and heavy signed to each of the 2 seasonal sponsors.

They should take notes from Hell Divers. Even tho this is a PVP game, I truly believe global objectives (like the community events, but expanded, and visible in-game) would do wonders for this game. I love this game and its development team. Audio issues aside, great video too, well done.
Thank you! TBH - I haven't played hell divers just yet. Though I understand the concept of global missions. That's what the weekly events were touching on with the consequence being sponsor branding throughout the arena. Let me know if you have any ideas that could improve on this. Would love to refine it further.
They did that with the move the power shift platform around earth challenge a couple weeks ago. Its not the same tho because there was no change to the mode. The community just had to play power shift enough to unlock the boombox.
I love these ideas. I think they could really add a new level of imersion into the game we all enjoy. I hope embark sees the time and effort you've thrown into this video and takes your contributions into account!
Interesting ideas and great designs. I like the sponsor choice, it could work as a second circuit with added snippets of story. Also please balance your audio.
These are some amazing ideas and amazing UI work. Wanting to add to your video: I feel like there should be voicelines taunting the opposing sponsorship when you kill an enemy. It'll add character and actually feel like you're a part of it all.
I thought about concepts like this for the game since I played it in the beta, having modes like sponsor battles where the sponsor with the highest recognition gives the players some cosmetics or even better, letting the players on the winning side decide the content, For example, we play with a specific set of clothes and in the end decide what we want to keep. leaving the rest of the set for other challenges or future sponsor battles. I think the finals have the potential of Helldivers 2 in terms of keeping the playerbase engaged with these types of events, and I would love to see how well it does, but it is true that making this type of content would require a lot of time to create skins, challenges... Besides, with this system I get the feeling that the battle pass would remain in a secondary position, something that would make fewer people decide to buy it, which nexon would not like
This some good stuff man. I think this game is so unique and has some of the best FPS lore out there. I have noticed that this game doesn’t really pull in any views on UA-cam so maybe embark needs to start sponsoring big UA-camrs to really get the game out there?
Thank you! I think it's too early for paid content to be honest. You can't pay your way to success - so many game devs have tried and failed because the base game sucks. Embark seem to be focusing on the quality of the game and community first before scaling it... which I think is the right call.
They have already but so much work into the lore around this... so I wouldn't be surprised if they already have their own ideas for stuff like this at some point.
Maybe players could compete with the other players signed with their sponsons. The players at the top of each sponsor team would be contenders for a tournament between the sponsor teams. Definitely love your idea tho, seems like an actual sport. I feel a story is a big thing that’s missing from the finals.
The finals core game mode was first made in Battlefield bad company 2 called squad rush. Four squads competing to win and similar objectives but not quite like cash out. The devs made it visually colorful but the gameplay loops and gunplay is quite older from the bad company and bf4 era of shooters. (Why the guns kick more than most of the non tactical shooters) this game pulled a lot players who wanted destruction to be a key feature in a game and still frustrated with most modern FPS design that don’t even consider that. The gameshow universe lore also has allowed finals to not have stupid skins seem off but fit into the game. (And outside of some absurd skins in cod, they look amazing. Wish they would just make the faces of the characters less androgynous and just sexy though)

You are so in tune with the game to come up with this! This is better than what embark has come up with so far. I hope you can push this to them somehow - the beauty of it is that it would be easy to implement and brings a whole new dimension to progression that I haven't seen in another game
I really appreciate you saying that. Embark are doing great though... they have so many more constraints than me and they can't waste their resources investing too much into the wrong things. I hope content like this helps them learn more about what some of us want or don't want :)

This is amazing! I love the idea of having a different sponsor for each participant and being able to farm reputation and rewards through missions while playing with each character.
I don't like reputation stuff, but others... Bro, it's so cool! It adds more depth to the game. I don't like the current challenge system because it really wears you out. I don't play that often, so I have to focus on the daily challenges rather than the game itself. And I also began to notice that people are trying to do weekly challenges instead of playing. I like the fact that for ranked play they give me something other than rank. Fighting for unique skins is cool! But I don't like the wrapper of it all. The Finals is about a show... but in the end there is no show.
The reputation system was a little rushed, but I'd love to know more about what you don't like. This is something that will be in my next video (but not the focus) so I might make improvements in time. I feel you man. Recently I've been wanting more content... but it doesn't take much for me to be on the other side of things and be gutted that I can't keep up. It's a hard line to balance for the devs... which is why many games have things like double xp or double battle pass progression towards the end of a season.
@@TheOllieJT I think the game is too competitive for the casual player. Losing is very unpleasant. This is not the same as in Battlefield or Call of Duty where you can do a lot in one life. I think this is due to the length of the gameloop. You can make a mistake and just wait 26 seconds... And then another 26 seconds due to a mistake by the whole team and that’s it, the match is already over. It's not fun. Developers should pay attention to Team Fortress 2, not Counter Strike (especially if you take the last gamemode) I don't like TTK. I understand his meaning, but the problem with the big TTK is that the one who comes last to the shootout wins. In the current meta, it is profitable to simply wait for two teams to fight, then come, finish them and take the cash. I also honestly don't understand why developers don't add the Steam Market to their games. If you're making a game with a focus on monetization with skins, make it possible for players to resell skins somehow. Everyone, without exception, benefits from this. And of course, there are questions about gamemodes and balance, but this is not all that critical.
@@L3tsFUN Some really good points here. Some of which I think they are already trying to work on with new game modes... but even then it's tricky. I think what many casual players are wanting is a mode to just slay - without an objective. Power Shift seems to be the closest to this, but still not ideal.
@@TheOllieJT Shooting are core gameplay, but they also have excellent destructibility. It’s possible to make modes tailored specifically to these mechanics. And yes, about Power Shift. Here we have the same problem that Battlefield had - the gamemode seems to be good, but the maps used are already created. Because of this, problems arise with level design. For example, in Monaco (where the church is), it is impossible to play this mode due to the spawns and the route of the platform. And on the new Horizons map, the mode plays perfectly.
You need 2 things: 1) probably a better mic /clear pronunciarion. I personally struggled sometimes to understand you. 2)Bigger fanbase. This video was pretty much straight to the point with a more fleshed out version of sponsor concept. Also a great overwiew on the problem

@@TheOllieJT thing that bothered me the most was your mic sound, might want ro invest some time mixing it. Otherwise for the size of your channel, you can be very proud !
I did mix it as best I could without recording for a 5th time... I'm using a dynamic mic, which means it cancels out sound around it. I think it's because I moved too much when recording. I'm going to use a condenser mic next time.
This might be beside the point but I have to get this out of my chest. who say medium is boring? Like what? I’m a diamond 2 medium main so I might be a bit bias but.. We got jump pad and zip line for accelerating 1hp get away and game winning rotation. We got a “Fu-RPG” gadget. And we have a decent offensive gadget like grenades. Even an explosive mine is super fun cause it work when you least expect them (to even against diamond player). But my favorite gadget? Goo grenade which enable us to do a goo-jump pad tech. Guaranteed, a clean getaway in indoor area (assuming you aren’t stun and chased by a light). A make shift heavy, barricade that slow down any team without gadget to destroy wall. I’m sure I don’t need to say why medium demat is awesome. As for healing beam, my main specialization (by choice). For some people you might think oh it just a “click m1” and look at birdie gadget. You’re a 100 percent correct. You hit the nail on the head. The healing beam is nothing like Ana sniper in overwatch where some sense of mechanical skill is required. But that doesn’t make it a brainless gadget. In a fight, I need to constantly not just keep track of the enemy’s position and hp but also the hp of myself and my teammate. All while trying to stay alive to maximize the value of a defiv or sometime even make a bitter decision to not use it. Which, I mind you is no easy task when the enemy team also constantly try to target me first since sometime I may be the only healer or medium on the team. And yet despite needing to be the last person to die, so I can keep my teammate alive. I still can’t leave my teammate to have a 2 gun vs 3 gun fire fight cause they will just never win or by the time they win, we be taking too long and waste all of our resource and die to third party. And lastly even in causal, I find myself using primarily the healing beam you know why? Cause there’s no better feeling than seeing your teammate who’s clueless at a game getting a kill knowing they wouldn’t have make it without their papa healer. You just know that after said match, this guy will stick around and keep playing the game For a bit longer because of you helping them out to make the beginning of their final journey a less cruel experience. (Yes, and also having front row seat at watching the enemy slice and roast is extremely excruciating). You see. I don’t heal my teammate cause I want them alive. I heal my teammate so that my enemy experience inescapable hell. So no, healing beam is not boring especially when you’re fighting against more than 1 team where you will likely be the best player to call shot for when or where to rotate since you aren’t busy aiming at head.
...and breathe... haha. I totally agree with you man! If you're referring to the graphic at 00:55 then it was just off the cuff comments I've heard from the community. That one specifically was actually about how the meta is quite limiting on some classes - with the medium for example, the weapon selection is a little stale if you want to compete consistently at higher ranks.

Its cause they didn't get rid of nukes quick enough when the game was popular. 3 of my friends quit because they kept getting insta killed by cheese, and I don't blame them. Game was perfect, then everyone learned about nukes and everyone started running 3 heavy's with rpgs and nuke builds. I know there not as strong but its to late now. I think if they did something about nukes earlier it would be more popular now.
That concept is absolutely sick! Would love to see this in-game as after i complete a circuit in 1 day all i can do is just play ranked with only one reason which is to rank up. A variety of a storyline of your character would be a game changer.
I'm so excited we have similar ideas! I had the idea of signing a contract with sponsors too. Unlike your idea, I had the idea of signing a sponsor's contract like "Deposit $500,000 in 1 week". During the contract fulfillment process, I had the ideas of spectators on the map holding the banner of the sponsor and our name, Scotty and June's special in-match conversations that only the player itself can hear, characteristic skin rewards such as OSPUZE's R357 skin, and using the sponsor's cosmetics in the match during the sponsorship process to gain more xp. I think my opinion alone is very shallow right now. It would be nice if your ideas were the main system and my ideas were added into the main system.
I love that idea! I kinda gave up when it came to the specific ideas for the contracts - as you can see in my designs 😅 I love that idea that you earn more 'sponsor XP' when you compete with their skins. I had a similar idea that I didn't include because it didn't make sense for the gameplay... but this seems more realistic.
Im glad i wasnt the only person inspired by that video. The finals has an open concept for world building like no other game and it needs to take advantage of that
Nice vid! The reputation, sponsors and fans concepts really tie in well with the lore of THE FINALS in contrast to the wacky system we currently have, especially with how obscure and unrelated the lore has been with the actual Gameplay
I think they're just teasing it out slowly. I'm not sure how much they already have planned... but you don't have this much lore without a bit of planning - so I'm excited to see where they take it in season 3.
And i feel like they probably won't but i really wish we had weapon attachments; I like being able to set up guns my favorite guns a certain way instead of just generic looking scar for example.

Yeah! Embark spoke about this early on... about how they didn't want to build a typical hero shooter, they wanted you to create the hero.
Ideas like this just take it a step further.
Currently they have 2 sponsors per season sponsoring the game... and I think that's a good idea. Too many at once will be a little hard to follow and build rivalries.
That said, I'm looking forward to them introducing more of the sponsors into the game, like Tristan+ which I've seen in maps already.

Broo this is so sick, just wondering if embark has the budget for something as big as this 😭since there’s basically no lore right now adding this much lore based content is prob gonna take up most of their resources. Would be a different story if the finals was a pay to play game tho but not sure if we’d beable to have a large enough player base. Read that the devs are heavily focused on the ranked system for next season right now, I think we’ll possibly be seeing a lot more postgame feedback on individual player performance.
I think it's a mix of budget and pacing. This kinda stuff is important, but it shouldn't be prioritized over gameplay.
If they ever considered something like this I think they would start small and slowly add to it... kinda like they are already doing.

Great video, Ollie! I had to stop by and subscribe as a designer myself. I feel like something like this is the direction Embark should go in. It gives a sense of progression which I feel the game currently lacks.

I appreciate the support - and for what it's worth, I think Embark are heading in a great direction. They need to find the balance between fast updates, and slowing things down to make sure they are moving in the right direction with limited resources.
We have the luxury of creating designs like this without any of the constraints they have.
I'm going to keep making stuff like this though to signal what we as a community want more of less of... and I really appreciate the support from people like you showing what they agree or disagree with.

First of all, Great video. i love the visuals and how the UI looks. its CLEAN!!!
I wanted to share my two sents about the idea of sponsors progression, its an insanely exiting idea that pulled me into the finals when i first saw the trailer and played the beta for the first time. it reminded me of something like the hunger games where everyone is watching you fight on the big screen. and the sponsors can send you something extra to help out, and this gave me two ideas inspired by the hunger games, bare with me for a sec...
1-Choosing a sponsor and completing a challenge will get you rewards, like a cosmetic item or an emote. but what if the challenge was not held for you only and was implemented for 1 winner the whole game. for example, you get a reward if you get the most cash boxes stolen in the game, or most healing done or revives. then you see on the billboards your name all over the map being currently on top, and if you stay on top till the end you win that reward.
2- The commentators were an element that i really enjoyed when i started, but we can also fit them in this sponsor progression system in a direct way. There was alot of talk about embark using AI to voice the commentators and that something that can be used to the finals advantage in a narative way and gameplay too. so if the commentators can comment unique voice lines for whats happening right now and point out how a player from the "high notes" for example is currently the highest reviving player in the game and how the sponsors want to give him a shout out for example, or announce how a player from the "Retros" has the highest eliminations right now and the sponsors wanna put a bounty for an extra cash and make him a target for a while. it will definitely make the games more unique and alive.
I definitely like the idea of being the center of attention of all those spectators when playing, but currently i fell like that idea has alot of room to grow. and videos like this where the community can just throw around some ideas and the devs actually listening and engaging back with big spoons of content, is just excited and refreshing.
insane how this could revolutionise how progression works in games, really impressive concepts i would love to see implemented eventually.

Holy shit embark hire this man! I also think it would be cool if there were loyalty rewards where if a certain contestant sticks with a sponsorship for x amount of seasons they get really cool looking gear thats a lot rarer
I don't comment very often here on UA-cam but your work is really impressive and will make for a great immersive experience for the playerbase. Using the sponsors as some kind of motivation is something I've only seen in NSS (pretty old mobile game i used to play). I hope Embark sees this video and try to implement it ASAP! Although it may be difficult in the beginning.
They've already done so much of the work building lore around the sponsors - I can't imagine they're not going to use them more... but yeah. I hope it's more integrated with the gameplay.

Also the ui work is insane mate I love these ideas I’ve heard the sponsor contracts prior but people mention a new person may be torn when choosing forcing them to be locked out of the other contract but having individual contestants be sponsored differently is a great idea
That's why I mentioned you could pick a different sponsor for each of your 6 contestants. In theory you could have a light, medium, and heavy signed to each of the 2 seasonal sponsors.

They should take notes from Hell Divers. Even tho this is a PVP game, I truly believe global objectives (like the community events, but expanded, and visible in-game) would do wonders for this game. I love this game and its development team. Audio issues aside, great video too, well done.

TBH - I haven't played hell divers just yet. Though I understand the concept of global missions. That's what the weekly events were touching on with the consequence being sponsor branding throughout the arena.

They did that with the move the power shift platform around earth challenge a couple weeks ago. Its not the same tho because there was no change to the mode. The community just had to play power shift enough to unlock the boombox.

These are some amazing ideas and amazing UI work. Wanting to add to your video: I feel like there should be voicelines taunting the opposing sponsorship when you kill an enemy. It'll add character and actually feel like you're a part of it all.
I love that. I believe the voice-lines are already AI generated... so would be nice to have a little more personalization.

hire this man embark. the idea of covering maps with the winning sponsor of this week's face-off is officially my #1 wishlist for this game.
I thought about concepts like this for the game since I played it in the beta, having modes like sponsor battles where the sponsor with the highest recognition gives the players some cosmetics or even better, letting the players on the winning side decide the content, For example, we play with a specific set of clothes and in the end decide what we want to keep. leaving the rest of the set for other challenges or future sponsor battles.
I think the finals have the potential of Helldivers 2 in terms of keeping the playerbase engaged with these types of events, and I would love to see how well it does, but it is true that making this type of content would require a lot of time to create skins, challenges... Besides, with this system I get the feeling that the battle pass would remain in a secondary position, something that would make fewer people decide to buy it, which nexon would not like
This some good stuff man. I think this game is so unique and has some of the best FPS lore out there. I have noticed that this game doesn’t really pull in any views on UA-cam so maybe embark needs to start sponsoring big UA-camrs to really get the game out there?

I think it's too early for paid content to be honest. You can't pay your way to success - so many game devs have tried and failed because the base game sucks.
Embark seem to be focusing on the quality of the game and community first before scaling it... which I think is the right call.

Maybe players could compete with the other players signed with their sponsons. The players at the top of each sponsor team would be contenders for a tournament between the sponsor teams. Definitely love your idea tho, seems like an actual sport. I feel a story is a big thing that’s missing from the finals.

The finals core game mode was first made in Battlefield bad company 2 called squad rush. Four squads competing to win and similar objectives but not quite like cash out. The devs made it visually colorful but the gameplay loops and gunplay is quite older from the bad company and bf4 era of shooters. (Why the guns kick more than most of the non tactical shooters) this game pulled a lot players who wanted destruction to be a key feature in a game and still frustrated with most modern FPS design that don’t even consider that. The gameshow universe lore also has allowed finals to not have stupid skins seem off but fit into the game. (And outside of some absurd skins in cod, they look amazing. Wish they would just make the faces of the characters less androgynous and just sexy though)

You are so in tune with the game to come up with this! This is better than what embark has come up with so far. I hope you can push this to them somehow - the beauty of it is that it would be easy to implement and brings a whole new dimension to progression that I haven't seen in another game

I don't like reputation stuff, but others... Bro, it's so cool! It adds more depth to the game.
I don't like the current challenge system because it really wears you out. I don't play that often, so I have to focus on the daily challenges rather than the game itself. And I also began to notice that people are trying to do weekly challenges instead of playing.
I like the fact that for ranked play they give me something other than rank. Fighting for unique skins is cool!
But I don't like the wrapper of it all. The Finals is about a show... but in the end there is no show.
The reputation system was a little rushed, but I'd love to know more about what you don't like. This is something that will be in my next video (but not the focus) so I might make improvements in time.
I feel you man. Recently I've been wanting more content... but it doesn't take much for me to be on the other side of things and be gutted that I can't keep up. It's a hard line to balance for the devs... which is why many games have things like double xp or double battle pass progression towards the end of a season.

I think the game is too competitive for the casual player. Losing is very unpleasant. This is not the same as in Battlefield or Call of Duty where you can do a lot in one life. I think this is due to the length of the gameloop. You can make a mistake and just wait 26 seconds... And then another 26 seconds due to a mistake by the whole team and that’s it, the match is already over. It's not fun.
Developers should pay attention to Team Fortress 2, not Counter Strike (especially if you take the last gamemode)
I don't like TTK. I understand his meaning, but the problem with the big TTK is that the one who comes last to the shootout wins. In the current meta, it is profitable to simply wait for two teams to fight, then come, finish them and take the cash.
I also honestly don't understand why developers don't add the Steam Market to their games. If you're making a game with a focus on monetization with skins, make it possible for players to resell skins somehow. Everyone, without exception, benefits from this.
And of course, there are questions about gamemodes and balance, but this is not all that critical.

I think what many casual players are wanting is a mode to just slay - without an objective. Power Shift seems to be the closest to this, but still not ideal.

Shooting are core gameplay, but they also have excellent destructibility. It’s possible to make modes tailored specifically to these mechanics.
And yes, about Power Shift. Here we have the same problem that Battlefield had - the gamemode seems to be good, but the maps used are already created. Because of this, problems arise with level design. For example, in Monaco (where the church is), it is impossible to play this mode due to the spawns and the route of the platform. And on the new Horizons map, the mode plays perfectly.

I did mix it as best I could without recording for a 5th time... I'm using a dynamic mic, which means it cancels out sound around it.
I think it's because I moved too much when recording.
I'm going to use a condenser mic next time.

This might be beside the point but I have to get this out of my chest. who say medium is boring? Like what? I’m a diamond 2 medium main so I might be a bit bias but.. We got jump pad and zip line for accelerating 1hp get away and game winning rotation. We got a “Fu-RPG” gadget. And we have a decent offensive gadget like grenades. Even an explosive mine is super fun cause it work when you least expect them (to even against diamond player). But my favorite gadget? Goo grenade which enable us to do a goo-jump pad tech. Guaranteed, a clean getaway in indoor area (assuming you aren’t stun and chased by a light). A make shift heavy, barricade that slow down any team without gadget to destroy wall. I’m sure I don’t need to say why medium demat is awesome. As for healing beam, my main specialization (by choice). For some people you might think oh it just a “click m1” and look at birdie gadget. You’re a 100 percent correct. You hit the nail on the head. The healing beam is nothing like Ana sniper in overwatch where some sense of mechanical skill is required. But that doesn’t make it a brainless gadget. In a fight, I need to constantly not just keep track of the enemy’s position and hp but also the hp of myself and my teammate. All while trying to stay alive to maximize the value of a defiv or sometime even make a bitter decision to not use it. Which, I mind you is no easy task when the enemy team also constantly try to target me first since sometime I may be the only healer or medium on the team. And yet despite needing to be the last person to die, so I can keep my teammate alive. I still can’t leave my teammate to have a 2 gun vs 3 gun fire fight cause they will just never win or by the time they win, we be taking too long and waste all of our resource and die to third party. And lastly even in causal, I find myself using primarily the healing beam you know why? Cause there’s no better feeling than seeing your teammate who’s clueless at a game getting a kill knowing they wouldn’t have make it without their papa healer. You just know that after said match, this guy will stick around and keep playing the game For a bit longer because of you helping them out to make the beginning of their final journey a less cruel experience. (Yes, and also having front row seat at watching the enemy slice and roast is extremely excruciating). You see. I don’t heal my teammate cause I want them alive. I heal my teammate so that my enemy experience inescapable hell. So no, healing beam is not boring especially when you’re fighting against more than 1 team where you will likely be the best player to call shot for when or where to rotate since you aren’t busy aiming at head.

If you're referring to the graphic at 00:55 then it was just off the cuff comments I've heard from the community. That one specifically was actually about how the meta is quite limiting on some classes - with the medium for example, the weapon selection is a little stale if you want to compete consistently at higher ranks.

Its cause they didn't get rid of nukes quick enough when the game was popular. 3 of my friends quit because they kept getting insta killed by cheese, and I don't blame them. Game was perfect, then everyone learned about nukes and everyone started running 3 heavy's with rpgs and nuke builds. I know there not as strong but its to late now. I think if they did something about nukes earlier it would be more popular now.

That concept is absolutely sick! Would love to see this in-game as after i complete a circuit in 1 day all i can do is just play ranked with only one reason which is to rank up. A variety of a storyline of your character would be a game changer.

I'm so excited we have similar ideas! I had the idea of signing a contract with sponsors too. Unlike your idea, I had the idea of signing a sponsor's contract like "Deposit $500,000 in 1 week". During the contract fulfillment process, I had the ideas of spectators on the map holding the banner of the sponsor and our name, Scotty and June's special in-match conversations that only the player itself can hear, characteristic skin rewards such as OSPUZE's R357 skin, and using the sponsor's cosmetics in the match during the sponsorship process to gain more xp. I think my opinion alone is very shallow right now. It would be nice if your ideas were the main system and my ideas were added into the main system.

I love that idea that you earn more 'sponsor XP' when you compete with their skins. I had a similar idea that I didn't include because it didn't make sense for the gameplay... but this seems more realistic.

I think they're just teasing it out slowly. I'm not sure how much they already have planned... but you don't have this much lore without a bit of planning - so I'm excited to see where they take it in season 3.

And i feel like they probably won't but i really wish we had weapon attachments; I like being able to set up guns my favorite guns a certain way instead of just generic looking scar for example.

The ingame sponsors is actually a really good idea and works nice of the virtual arena we play in, possebly keeping more players hooked on the game.
My enthusiasm for The Finals is slowly waning. But if Embark introduced your ideas, I would be happily sinking hours into the game.
